bristol academy is a pretty good venue as they go. has a big/cheap multi storey next to it. actual area isn't too great (a bit dirty) but it aint bad...quite near the centre really.

My personal opinion is that professional footballers, in general, just don't train hard enough. Football isn't different to any other sport - if you want to be the best in the world, you have to train really f**king hard to make sure you attain your potential. I don't think they feel they need to, because as long as they're good enough to make the first team in the prem they'll keep raking in the thousands until they get too old. It's a similar situation with our sprinters in athletics. They all have lottery funding and so long as they stay in the top 3 or 4 in Britain they know it'll continue that way. And the result? Not one of them even made a final in the world championships the other week. I used to like football, but now i'm just a bit fed up with it. I'd rather watch the cricket.
