  1. oh.. right. ill experiment with it in that case. ill ride for a few hours, then take it off for a few hours, see what happens. cheers man
  2. and i end up with cuts covering both my shins haha. must invest in leg protectors.
  3. can a booster make it worse? i can understand it not having an affect at all but making it worse? how? just realised this post looks really aggressive like im dis0agreeing with you. should have worded it better. im not disagreeing as i have no idea haha.
  4. ok now it turns out i have a possible broken thumb. bugger me.. what a pain. no broken thumb, bad ligament damage, sprain, swelling and bruising. 3 weeks of ibuprofen and light exercise... i may be able to make it next sunday
  5. yeah i know, its not improving anything. but ive got 2 boosters so i though i might as well have it on there. the only good its doing is to stop my foot going through in footjams. lol
  6. ive recently ground both my rims, i ground the rear and running tnn lgm's then did the front and put on heatsink yellows. when im going down hill fast, i do the old foot on the back tyre job. i wouldn't have thought it would have a massive affect on the tyre, maybe over a year it will but oh well.
  7. love it, really like those frames, so much i bought me one prob not as high spec as yours, or as light. but still fun changed abit scince this pic, now have echo tr bars in silver. now looking to get one of them frame protectors you have, a new bashring, and probably new tyres.
  8. trying to nail a 360 on the rear, just for fun really, add to my bag of tricks. i can get a 180 pretty easily but struggle to get further any tips? im currently running quite low tyre pressure and when i do a 180, the tyre moves to one side of the rim and then it kind of springs me back a little, would a rock hard tyre make it a lot easier? by the way im on maxxis holyrollers, not nobbly's.
  9. i may have to miss, ive pulled my left thumb really bad. i have a week to recover though so if its better ill deffinatley come. i landed on it in a fall, i think its just pulled ligaments etc. anyone got any ideas on how to speed up recovery? ice? heat? pressure? etc..
  10. thats taps and front wheel hooks.
  11. should be already bled mate. where you buying it from? if its tartybikes, they will be set up for you already
  12. HAHAHAH! on a more serious note.. i think you just have to go for it, if you can side hop you must have the technique, just exaggerate it even more and don't worry about getting hurt. if your worried about falling, you'll never know how high you can get,
  13. what way round do you normally swing the bike when doing a 180 on the front wheel? i turn mine to the left so heres how i do it. i start as if im just doing a normal 180, then halfway through i remove my right foot from the pedal, at this stage i find it really important to think purely about what my left foot is doing, then land your right foot on the tyre, straight away after landing your foot (if not at the same time) pull your left foot off the pedal and lift over the frame and dangle it behind your right foot ready for the catch slightly move the bars to help the spin. when the bike is at about 4 o'clock, jump off the tyre and catch the pedal with your left foot and then put the right foot on the pedal before landing. when you get better at landing you will be able to land both feet at the same time. a little tip when doing it this way, keep your back brake on all the time too, this will keep your pedals in position. THE OTHER WAY if you want to spin to the right but normally 180 to the left... bring your right foot over the frame whilst going at a comfortable speed, endo, and at the same time kick the frame right with your left foot and land on the tyre with your right foot, the frame can come round pretty fast depending how hard you kick, when the frame is at about 8 o clock, jump and land on the pedals, this way is kinda considered as cheating as you pull your foot over the frame to start, but its a good way o learn balance on the wheel. also the pedals can either move, or if you stick the rear brake on.. they are locked in an awkward position. hope this helps, took me ages to type haha carl
  14. not bad for 2 months. keep it up. oh by the way, whats the music??
  15. i know they make carbon fibre wheels for motorbikes which are VERY expensive. kicking around £2500 a pair. but why has no one thought to make carbon fibre wheels for push bikes? carbon fibre is stronger and lighter than the material used to make current rims. so only seems logical to produce some. does any one know why they aren't being made? i'm assuming its probably down to the price that they would cost, but carbon fibre has just plummeted from £95 per lb to £6 per lb. just a random thought that popped into my mind whilst looking for carbon fibre motorbike parts lol.
  16. wayhey! nice vid man. hopefully ill be at the next norwich ride, maybe in the next vid too. also need a helmet...
  17. they are absolute gems in the eyes of comedy. pure fail, over and over again. haha http://www.trashzen.com/animations/video-crash-compilations.php whoops! this was meant to go in the 'video' section. not the 'beginners trials chat'.
  18. yeah looks like i may have to pull out too, may have family over (chore) haha ill have to see closer to the time.
  19. good videos, yeah the intro is abit long but thats skip-able if your watching a few vids. when are you gonna do the tutorials for harder tricks like? g turn perhaps? lol the amount of detail is great. keep them coming
  20. dont get a new one. £540? f*ck off... get one off ebay, or hang on until someone else sells one.
  21. one of my mate has had the same problem with a chris king headset, he just bought an echo headset and it didnt happen again. may just be something to do with chris king's. have you got a vice? when i install my headsets I push the cups in as far as possible by hand, then put it in the vice with a half a number plate on each end to not damage headset, then crank it up until its nice and straight. then when putting the forks in, make sure you do up the top-cap nice and tight before straightening the bars and then tighten the stem bolts last. if your sure its not the fitting, id say just buy a new headset.
  22. its absoloute wank. haha. the pads are no way square (echo tr clamps on a bent mount). using normal maggy pads on a medium ground rim so they've been eaten alive and the bleed isn't the best. waiting for new brake clamps which should be here tuesday, then gotta buy new pads, prob tnn lgm's then ill do a good bleed. ill prob put tnn's on the rear and put the heatsink yellows up front. just fitted a sealed echo headset instead of the shite onza open one and got an echo freewheel instead of my old tensile, so its getting there. should be lovely soon..
  23. looks waaaay better thn it did man. nice job!
