  2. yeah but they were. it just sorta popped out lol
  3. it does say on tartys to run a light medium grind, which I do, and they feel quite good
  4. big Chebs for the win. can't fault a wench with big chebs
  5. have got a set of these from tartys. put them on today, very loud and good bite. full review coming soon. and in reference to the above remarks, the pad size is quite similar to lgms, these just have a stiff backing plate, so should be a vast improvement over the likes of heatsink yellows or onzas etc in terms of stiffness, without shelling out for Cnc backings. these are only £12
  6. I'm in congleton when I visit my mum, am down next weekend
  7. that's top class dude. I do house trials when it's raining, hop on to the sofa and 180 off it. the arms do creak a bit though. also hopping forwards up the stairs is a good one
  8. can't believe that came from you mr cox.
  9. I bought quite a bit of gear off rock and roll bikes, the service is quality. always got the stuff I want
  10. do it with a brand new hacksaw blade and a dude who knows how to use it. pipe cutters are not a very good tool for thick wall tubes

    Brake Help

yeah , this method has never let me down, I push water through with the syringe first, then suck it back through the other way. on my Ashton I did use an evo 2 mount, which is effectively a 4 bolt booster behind with a 2 bolt one on top. not running a booster on the inspired, and my brake is amazing, and solid. got heatsink red pads in tnn backings now
  15. thank you mr skoze. finally a bit of common sense. Dave, stop slagging tartys. if they are as shite as you make out, why do so many people use them? if they piss you off that much, stop f**king moaning and use someone else in your country.
  16. no dude I mean the washers you put between the bb and the frame to offsett your bb to the right to get your chain line right. it could be that moving
  17. it'll be the cranks dude. can't see a steel shaft wearing before ally cranks. if you have had em off quite a few times, they are probably worn. are you running bb spacers? might be coming from them. that's what is was on mine. swapped them for metal ones and grinted it right up. creaking stopped. got my username changed, I'm still the same old chandler
  18. bloody hell jardo. bet the owner of that was a happy dude. the fiat was somewhere around 15k? a 50k loss on a motor in 2 years. that is f**king harsh

do it with the syringe in a sink full of water. best of both worlds and no air can get in. do it until no air comes out. best way I found was to pop the piston out of the lever first. then once all the air stops coming out build it up under water. works every time for me, brakes are solid
  20. he's about as Spanish as I am. and he is massively talented
  21. yeah I'm 31 in August, there is a few of us do seniors in the nationals. you want summat fairly solid , with good wheels brakes and freewheel.
  22. I agree, it's the principle of it. if you got a pub meal that cost a fiver and it was shite or not cooked right, you'd take it back wouldn't you? same principle
