^^^^^^Exactly what bikeperson45 says^^^^^^^. Just unreal but at the same time leaves me feeling like I just bought my 1st trials bike this morning and dont know anything

Tube profile all round is good, using the same stiffened rear triangle from the Raijin. Top and down tubes looks cool and have had thought put into them. Here we go again with ANOTHER flaming from the English speaking countries about the name, just like Inpulse and the new Crewkerz Jealousy. The French must just throw their hands in the air and say F**k it , it doesn't matter what we call it they wont like it. I kind of like the name. Looks like they've stepped up the standard of their graphics over the HashTagg decals painted on the Raijin, which are horrible. I like it and I'd buy it.

Jesus, get over it. A lot of bikes Ive seen Uk riders using are a good 2-4 years old anyway, battered to F**k in a number of cases and made up of numerous 2nd hand parts. This Guy is pushing innovation in a sport with a limited customer base, not only because of the size of the sport but customers not having money. His ideas are proving to really work and is making very strong product in an a market where (often on this forum) people are bitching about products being not strong enough for 2-3 yrs of battering but want them super light too. Trials parts are not that expensive compaired with other forms of bicycle parts and look at some of the names on Dwonhill/XC bikes and their manufacturers name. Theres been quite a few weird names in the sport throughout history. I think a number of Deng and Echo frames haven't had great names too. Its a great product which will get scratched up too so who cares about a few inch's of lettering on it. Strip it raw if as is popular in UK ifi t bothers you that much. Or give it a French name like Le Croisant or Joe Le Taxi and see how that goes down.

I would have thought excessive heat transfer could damage the bearing in the hub too as the flame doesnt just touch the sprocket. I use a 5" length of brass and work my way round the sprocket bashing it in the loosening direction a few times, then wrap it in a length of old chain in the vice. Borrow a mate and turn the wheel hard, it'll come off. Worked lots of ti mes and never damaged a sprocket as the brass is softer than the steel teeth. It sounds like yours was fitted without grease on the threads and some kind of alloying has happened. Had this with pedal threads before and the crank material ripped out within the threads when i tried to unscrew the pedal.

Ive lived in both NZ and Aus and have flown my trials bike back and forth to UK numerous times. With Emirates and Etihad its just included in your 30kg checked baggage allowance , as it is with most airlines. Though most dont give a 30kg allowance. 24kg is more normal. A cardboard bike box is usually 4kg. Ive used these until it pee'd down in Mancs the night i was due to flyback to Aus and the box was soaked btwn train station and airport. I had to find spare cardboard in the airport and reconstruct it as best i could. Now made my own box with wheels from corrogated plastic stuff that looks similar to cardboard construction. Ive never had any damage having flown to asia numerous times too. Wrap the frame in pipe insulation foa m tube from B&Q,ask a bike shop for all the platic bits new bikes are delivered with to stop pertruding hub axles etc sticking out through the box. Theyre free. Id buy new tyres and tubes when u get there. Biketrials direct or Expressive bikes both stock mod tyres and the 4kg youll save u can bring better stuff. Yes Aussie customs are v.anal and will often take tour wheels with tyres away to wash them before you go through. I would forget all about posting it. It'll cost at least £160+ if u can get a deal similar to what tarty can ship to aus for. Probably way more than that. Anything going into Aus valued OVER $1000 INC shipping will incur customs and Gst if its unaccompanied and u might have to prove the value. I know that from buying on ebay over there.

Ph...its a rock. I thought it was a slice of pizza he was hanging onto maybe for sentimental reasons!

Speechless... Best trials video by a long way for a long time! What an awesome way to celebrate and chronicle your trials life in such a dynamic video.

Awesome, awesome, awesome. Never really followed motorbike trials before but that was brilliant. Thanks for sharing.

Andrew Dickey, Nathan Mummery and Joe Brewer, the top three riders in Australia all use these forks for the security of having the steel steerer. Like anything aluminium being hammered under trials conditions, they will crack eventually at stress points i.e. brake mounts etc but i havent heard any of these Guy's having the TNN fork fail on them.

Filo, do u mean the tube would have too much space to fill as the inner wall is so far in? im following this thread as its something uvw considered doing but wasnt 100% it was gonna go well.
-
are u talking about 20" or 26"? Ive double drilled the old style 26" ones which had a hole in the inner skin drilled under the spoke hole. i drilled out the inner skin in the space where it had been cnc'd out between each spoke. it worked well with a holesaw and saved about 90g per wheel. Always thought it would be cool to single wall them but not sure it would work and my spokes were a little too long.

Exactly this. Its your bike. Ride it how you like.

Ozonys Curve V4 vs V5 - I need feedback | Hashtagg crankset
jigga replied to RuFiK's topic in Trials Chat
I'd be keen to hear what people think of the hashtag crankset. Does It make a significant difference to most frame sets, assuming the frame isn't flex fatigued from yrs of riding? How does it affect your riding? -
Yep. I've got the other one of these two ex-Damon frames. As far as I know he didn't ride them. Bought mine from Chris H in Scunthorpe. It's built tougher with extra tube thickness. It weighs over 1.8kg, rather than 1.5kg for the factory model.
-
Whereabouts was that filmed? looks a cool place to ride.
-
Shame to put all that Ti goodness on, then Maxxis megatonne tyres. Keen to know what it weighs though.
-
Its the pure frame. I have a 2012 Pure too. Its just the same. The most flexy rear end frame I've owned, even with a booster. What it does tell me though is taht ive got a good solid bleed on the rear to have no sponginess. Can see the frame start flexxing out the second the lever goes more solid.

Anyone know if the cleep has the same fork offset as the Free above i.e +45?. Ive been mulling over getting the cleep for a while, but +45 by 2013-14 standards is way out there.

I had this problem on a rear Echo wheel. I had it re-built with brand new DT swiss spokes and the problem didnt go away. After more spoke breakages I had a mate in the LBS put it in the wheel truing jig. We found the rim wasnt constructed properly. one side of the rim was slightly lower than the other which meant whenver it hit the ground coming off an object or drop-off the left side spokes where momenterily under much more stress the the right as they loaded up 1st, so would snap on impact in the same place as yours. The rim the 24" Echo urban on a TR hub with Echo spokes. This was just down to crappy Echo build quality. I replace the rim and the problem was solved.

Awesome Video. Needs bumping and more people to watch that. Rail at 4.05mins. Was that really round?? Unbelievable balance!

Sell it to the second Guy. Once you've sold bikes/parts/whatever a few times, you'll know how much people waste your time. Take the money and secure the sale.

What front brake does he use? some shots almost look like its an old school BB7 but hard to get a paused focus shot to really tell.
