That must have been cracked for quite a while before it went, judging by the dirt/discolouration on half of the crack. Still unpleasant though!

I've stuck some koolstops on the front to keep a bit of modulation as he rides it around normally too, but it's running those red pads in cnc backings off ebay on the rear (had them from my old stock build) Also swapped out the v8s for some plastic platforms til he gets a bit more confident.

I just stripped it down and keyed the laquer that was on there to give the new paint something to stick to. It's not a fantastic finish but the satin paint hides most of the bad stuff and it's a trials bike and gonna get scratched anyway!

Having just gotten back into riding again myself, my eldest son aaron decided he wants to start too. A quick scout round the bay turned up this bad boy for 77 quid, i know they don't exactly have a great rep but it'll do for him to start on! Unfortunately he managed to do this on his second outing! (WARNING GRAPHIC SHINNER CONTENT BELOW) So to cheer him up a bit i resprayed it for him (we both hated the graphics so it was only a matter of time anway lol) He also asked if i could i could put a cut out in the head tube too close up of the head tube, we wrapped the steerer in some neon yellow vinyl, i think the contrast looks good he loves the new colour, the whole thing is a little ghetto but it's just a bit of fun all comments welcome

as you mentioned it was polish, just report it to the police for having excessively tinted rear lights and/or chrome arch trims.

i know people have used the older style deore levers with tr calipers before, but has anyone tried the servo wave type levers with them? i ask because i really don't like the levers on my tr brakes but i can't really justify a whole new brake setup!

how old are the chain/sprockets? could be partly due to wear, although those fixed tensioners are crap, mine used to slip constantly!

DrStix, cheers bud, not sure why it looks so different lol Ozzy, tyres are the stock echo ones, not my first choice but they'll do for now! Just ordered some ti bolts for it too, should shave a few grammes lol

small update, shortened and re routed brake hoses, fitted monty thin foams, avid rotors and hope pro pads. rolled the bars forward a bit more too. also while changing the grips i found that the bars are sl instead of tr, bonus! sorry for the crap pics, not impressed with the quality of the camera on my new phone
