+1 here for rolling your bars back, i find my tt high risers are far more comfortable now i've changed my bar angle. It hasn't affected my riding either (i'm shit though)

you can get long ass m6 bolts for stunt scooters, they're about 200mm long. then helicoil the bottom bit of your head lock, or use a nut and washer? The blue one was a vti which died of rust, at it's most extreme it literally had no interior (one bucket and harness, with the dials cable tied to the steering column) white one was supposed to get the engine/running gear from the vti but i ran out of money and had to sell up For a fwd they have a really good chassis, the DC2 integra was basically an longer wheelbase version of these! I have a similar soft spot for the mx5, i'd have one in a second if i didn't need space for the kids!
