ill be honest, I wasn’t expecting may to last longer than a few days at that point... but somehow we are even more f**ked than back then! At least she did the only decent thing and resigned at the right point for some cheap time of year jokes.

Yeah. It’ll be interesting to see how they go on. i watched glass yesterday, really enjoyed all three movies. Wrapped it up kinda nicely.

Bttf 1-3 did it better despite what the avengers think...

Endgame was funny. also stupid. it also took the piss out of certain movies and then proceeded to fail dismally at sticking to its own rules. It made no sense at all but I enjoyed it.

Just read the build thread, start to now. Really cool. Might sound stuuuupid, but given your skills would you build your own chassis now? No compromise, everything exactly how you want it?

I would love it if vettel lost his job at the end of the year...

Already looking disappointingly familiar.... but hopefully quali will bring some surprises and closer times.

True, agree - if you properly get it wrong it’s a disaster, but don’t those wings take over a month to design, verify and build. So I guess mercedes wanted to try out the concept, or their actual car is sooo good and they have so much resource they could test the engine and new mechanical bits week one whilst forcing everyone else to spend time and cash modelling their weird different wing? I thought the bigger change was the new side pod shape for Mercedes more like RB.

My guess is it’s closer but Mercs (Hamilton at least) out front on most tracks - especially on race pace. I think the front wing thing is less important than some are making out. Newey I think is quoted as saying we modelled the Ferrari/Alfa wing and ours at the moment is better, but we could implement it if we wanted without any major changes elsewhere, which could be bs but newey doesn’t seem the type for it. All I want is Mclaren to be back towards the front. Races are better when there are more people who can win...

Single-sided front fork - hub mounting suggestions etc
manuel replied to Phatmike's topic in Trials Chat
Just as a side point, and unless I’m missing something - I wouldn’t touch the calliper mount if I were removing that wheel. I would take off the disc... only a few more bolts but leaves alignment perfect. -
I watched that video soooooo much. Big Jeff does some incredible lines. Jeff in evolve and Martyn in chainspotting basically changed my life...

I thought that would clear no problem. (Or something) big jeff ftmfw

Xbox and TV in my van - how much solar to replenish batteries?
manuel replied to Joe Sheehan's topic in Chit Chat
Very simply, your battery is 12x110 watt/hrs 1.32kWH... if your panel is 100w or 0.1kW then it would take 13.2 hours to charge the battery fully (if it’s chucking out at 100% all the time) Tv 0.035kWH Xbox roughly 0.05kWH with a crappy inverter. So the load total is .085kWH and the charging is 0.1kWH. So good chance that’ll be fine? Or something. -
Yeah, that’s the nature of f1 at the minute(and probably forever)... i didn’t watch the race, and haven’t bothered with the last three. I’m a big fan of f1 but it’s just such a lame series at the moment. Everything about the cars seem just dull - the rediculous weight and stupidly complex ‘green’ engine, the increasingly complex Aero to get round an increasingly complex rule book. (Nothing new just iterative minute details). The tyres! The squabbling is dull and the increasing numbers of drivers without the actual talent but with the pay check, leading to less drivers making a difference. I love the technology of f1, but it’s just so dull right now as a racing series.

To me, if that was a battle for the lead I would have said 50/50 blame, Ocon didn’t back out and Verstappen didn’t give room to a car that was at least alongside. The only reason Ocon got a penalty seems to be because he was unlapping which sucks balls.

Mega lols on the crash today....

Ok car peeps..... egr valve has has been knackered for years on my 54 Fabia 3cyl- stuck shut and as far as I can tell minimal impact - mot advisory. This year - apparently engine management lights are a fail. So had a new one in (annoying cost at the garage) 100miles in light comes on. Idle had been funny from getting it back from mot - goes wandering up the Rev range to about 1500max when stationary for like 2-3 seconds take it back to garage- check codes - egr valve, too lean and a misfire. garage check valve - seems to be ok, working. But too lean codes still coming up, which implies air getting in? Garage have said it’s possible wear in the head letting in too much air - which sounds hideously expensive for a banger. They also can’t do it themselves and have recommended somewhere else to look. where do I stand- I don’t know what codes where cleared before they fitted the valve. When they fitted the new valve they had to replace the part it mounts into - could they have naffed it causing damage, only to fix second time around? Whats the the best way to proceed - should I just disconnect the egr (assume it is normally closed?) and not care? Get a blank and reprogram for without an egr and see if codes persist? (Anyone have the super legal distro software?) Before the egr switcheroo the idle was perfect and certainly didn’t smell lean just looking for ideas opinions/whatevs, the car is old and knackered and I didn’t want to get a new one if possible before I’ve finished some other bits of the house (lots of dirty dump runs still to go...)

Is that the same Porsche that nailed the spa f1 record? Lol at the carousel.
