  1. With the colder months coming ,here's a lot to be said for a nice preheated bike .
  2. Super nice lines , I was hoping this competition might be an opportunity for largely unknown riders to shine and this kid is way impressive !

Straight into my top 3 candidates - killer riding !
  4. Supertasty lines ridden so effortlessly it's as if you're just kinda warming up. Great production, well worth a rewatch.
  5. " Tantalizingly brief " is the worst I can say. Also ,that bike looks gloriously playful.
  6. Uh huh . Good clean fun on a bike. Some neat accuracy and manuals too , love it !
  7. Really stylish ,love the combos and transfers .
  8. Courageous and comedic, incredible commitment.
  9. Looking great , one of these has been my main playbike for like 8 years . Where on earth did you find yours ? My current (3rd) one is showing it's age so I'd love to get another prepped and painted for when the inevitable happens .Oh the endless ,effortless manuals -so playful and obedient .
  10. Elegant and effortless , really impressive to watch !
  11. Do you mean to protect against damage in transit or theft at location ? I''ll be flying out with my XC'er to Mallorca next week and am pretty much gonna go uninsured on both counts . By carefully packaging the bike it should arrive intact / unmolested and once there ,I''m none too concerned with theft as I'll treat it like I do here- always under my arse or safely in my room . Perhaps I'm a naive optimist though ,so I'll be watching this topic for advice .
  12. Seems O.K , how's spoke tension ? If they're really loose that would exacerbate what is otherwise an acceptable intolerance at the seam.

It's rare and enjoyable to be able to discern a rider's thought process from just watching his style . Deliberate ,planned lines pulled smoothly by a talented rider enjoying himself - very inspirational to watch and your own misgivings will probably result in increasingly neat riding . Also for me and presumably many others who live in areas devoid of other riders , videos like these are more meaningful than just an interesting distraction - it's aspirational . I can't imagine seeing riding like this in real life , but it sure as Hell makes me wanna emulate it . So , uh - thanks !
  14. You seem so entirely comfortable on this bike it seems pretty much perfect for you .Hot video - any plans for a street shoot ?
  15. That looks glorious, a new pristine bike is always so full of promise . Love the Dreadset and your choice to avoid absurdly wide trials rims .
  16. A deserving laureate for the Nobel prize for achievements in the field of researching trickridingsology .
  17. Blimey - good finish for a rattlecan job, looks great ! What is that rather fat lookin' front hub there ?
  18. Hmm, I guess pride of place must go to Mr. Ashton , followed by the now sadly inactive Felix Mucke , then fellas like Tim Pratt and Rowan Johns .
  19. Always a treat to see you've posted a new video . Really nice lines shown at pretty much broadcast quality footage ,the effort really pays off. Love it !
  20. Scheveningen ( pronounce that ! ) , a harbour town right next to the nation's capital , The Hague . http://goo.gl/maps/H5IY1 And yes that IS a town called Monster further down the coast ! Spots aplenty ,all of 'em untapped ...and unpedal upped and um- well you get my meaning .
  21. Kinda late to the party but you fellas were in Rotterdam (semi) recently ? I live in self imposed exile from the U.K in a wasteland devoid of a trials / street scene where everyone rides functional 50's era bikes but if you actually play with your bike or appear to be having fun you're the village idiot . All that and I missed you guys bein' pretty much around the corner ? Well goshdarnit ! Probably for the best as I'm a woefully inept rider and seein' you guys ride would crush what remainig confidence in my skills I still retain .
  22. You must mean " doing a Marco Grosenick ." I guess once accustomed to a 24" or 26" it'd be equally easy but coming from a mod ,the 24" is probably gonna feel more familiar . For what it's worth they work just fine on my (streety ) stock .
  23. When building a wheel using Mavic D521 rims ( yeah - that's how I roll ) don't allow a spoke nipple to fall into it's cavity irretrievably in such a way that it's tiny rattle with every revolution of the wheel is a reminder of your dumb assed ineptitude .
