  1. I'd cry like a woman afterwards.
  2. Damn you! Now I'm considering the Hopes again....
  3. I guess so. So how are the Trickstuff performing then in your Trialzone? Worse than with the Jitsies?
  4. Probably because you don't use Trickstuff pads over there. With the normal resin pads the Saints don't perform nearly as good as with the Trickstuff ones.
  5. That's what I wanted to hear. I guess I'm gonna stick with my Saints. I don't wanna spend 160GPB just for the looks and if it doesn't make a difference or if they are even worse... Thanks so much. I guess I'm gonna spend that money on some new 5/10 shoes as mine are rather worn...
  6. I just don't know. I have a Saint that performs well....
  7. Is it as easy to shorten the hose as with a Shimano brake. Meaning, do I need Dot for the first time?
  8. Thanks. I was just wondering as the pad area of the Hopes seems higher than the Saints one.
  9. Sorry for the new topic but I'm still undecided as to try out the Trialzone and "dump" my Saint or not. Has anyone used the Hopes with Shimano rotors? I'm currently using a RT66 and it performs well, I just don't know whether the contact area pad/rotor is too small for Hope pads. I wouldn't like to spend 30 bucks on a new rotor having a hardly used rotor on my bike. Thanks...
  10. It kinda did. As I started w/ trials not so long ago, I didn't know whether to have my finger on the front brake or not so I just didn't put it there. Then I saw people having their fingers on the FB and adjusted accordingly. It certainly felt less powerful back then. Now, whenever I try to grab the bar with all my fingers, it feels weird and less powerful. I guess it has to do w/ conditioning and the brain and what feels comfortable meaning: comfort = power. p.s.: I also have to push the "I can't sidehop for shit" button but then again, I would need a button for "I can't do anything really".
  11. That's what I thought. I never take the finger off my brake. I can't even do things right when not having a finger on the front brake.
  12. Prolly gonna stay with my Saint then as it would be too expensive to also buy a new rotor. Thanks.
  13. What's the braking surface of the hope rotor? The SLX one has 14,4mm of width.
  14. Would it be possible to use my Shimano IS->PM +20mm adaptor and my SLX RT66 Disc?
  15. I am not a maintenance retard. What about the stock pads of the hope? Do they work well or should I upgrade them, in case I buy that brake. I'm trying to convince myself not to buy the brake though.
  16. Cool. Now just tell me it's stupid to swap my well performing Saint 810 for a Trialzone only for the weight differences. How does the Trialzone compare performance wise to the Saints for that matter?
  17. Hello, I was just wondering if anyone knows if the braided hose is any better than the plastic one. I've made the experience that a braided hose (Goodridge) on a Shimano brake performs the same. Nico.
  18. Yep. It's an old Swampthing Super Tacky. So far I can't complain about the tyre. I've got a new Highroller Super Tacky lying around though if anything happens. A new Fat Albert is also an option from my garage.
  19. What would the neighbors say? I'd never borrow some money from a friend much less borrow it to someone. Ends in problems most of the time.
  20. That would be me . The Stiffys have straight side walls so they are perfect for rim brakes and hold a grind pretty well. Only the Spank Spikes have rounded side walls but still work, as Ali stated somewhere on here. Da du aus Dtl. bist, ist der Versand auch nicht mehr so hoch wie nach GB bzw. wenn du mal in Halle bist...
  21. Since Adam has already provided the solution...
  22. Went from bedded in Heatsinks to Trialtech Sport* w/o regrinding the rim. The latter outperformed the Heatsinks even w/o bedding in. *Both glued into TNN backings
  23. And super Strong. I doubt that on a street rig you will feel the difference of 5mm in width. As I saw the picture I was thinking about barless trials. Brakeless is so yesterday!
