  1. Silly colour... But I quite like it
  2. Got the alternator fixed (got one from a scrappy and that worked for a day, so had to replace it AGAIN with a refurb one), so it's all good now. Cost me a lot less than £150 doing it myself too However, I'm still having the original problem very intermittently. I'd left my car on the drive for a few days (maybe 3-4 very rainy days) and when I went to it, it wouldn't start properly. It was turning over fine, but it wouldn't take. On the 3rd or 4th time of asking, it worked but was a bit grumbly. Plus it was doing the same thing where if you rev it hard from idle, it would splutter and the revs would go down. If you're gentle, the revs go up slowly. Had to be very careful not to stall it because when you put your foot down it lost power. It was like this for about 15 mins, but getting better over that time, then it was fine again. Since then it's been fine, but it hasn't been as wet. Still now, even when it's idling at around 900rpm, it's not very happy. Give it a touch of gas up to 1000rpm and it's MUCH happier. Can I change the idle speed myself? Because this is the same thing as before (which also happened in the wet), I'm inclined to think the water has something to do with it. The only thing I can think of is the HT leads - could they need replacing? By the way it's a 1998 R reg 1.6l petrol.
  3. I've just been looking at that for at least 5 minutes. Nice photoshop

    Full Cnc Frame

Today is your lucky day sunshine. Knock yourself out. These are from a couple of years back though. http://www.panpa.com/test/ECHO-HIFI-BACKWARD-1.wmv http://www.panpa.com/test/ECHO-HIFI-BACKWARD-2.wmv http://www.panpa.com/test/ECHO-HIFI-BACKWARD-3.wmv http://www.panpa.com/test/ECHO-HIFI-BACKWARD-4.wmv http://www.panpa.com/test/ECHO-HIFI-FORWARD-1.wmv http://www.panpa.com/test/ECHO-HIFI-FORWARD-2.wmv http://www.panpa.com/test/ECHO-HIFI-FORWARD-3.wmv http://www.panpa.com/test/ECHO-HIFI-FORWARD-4.wmv KOXX: http://www.panpa.com/test/KOXX-XTP-TEST-BACKWARD-1.wmv http://www.panpa.com/test/KOXX-XTP-TEST-BACKWARD-2.wmv http://www.panpa.com/test/KOXX-XTP-TEST-BACKWARD-3.wmv http://www.panpa.com/test/KOXX-XTP-TEST-FORWARD-1.wmv http://www.panpa.com/test/KOXX-XTP-TEST-FORWARD-2.wmv http://www.panpa.com/test/KOXX-XTP-TEST-FORWARD-3.wmv EDIT: Whoops they're gone now. Hold on. These are the pictures, in this topic http://www.observedtrials.net/vb/showthread.php?t=12271
  5. Yeah, it can always go slower. 667 is just the intended maximum. Just make sure it's the right memory type (probably laptop DDR2).
  6. It depends on the TV's output, whether they're pre-amp outs or they're amplified. I'm surprised they're not amplified if they just connect to a speaker bar that fits along the bottom - I'd imagine the speaker bar doesn't have its own power. In which case you're either using the wrong terminals or the speakers aren't compatible. Try some other ones?

    Nt

Does he not come on here? That video was uploaded on 13th December and no-one's seen it yet? Pretty huge riding, as per.
  8. One thing that it does kinda say is that anything from 2005 onwards will definitely have the more powerful engine. For older cars you can't really tell.

    Powerball

Haha no I think it's great. Pointless, but great. They're marketed as some kind of physiotherapy tool which they blatently aren't. They're just cool toys
  10. I don't know why it would have a card reader. The 3.5mm jack on the back you tried was probably the audio input, so that's no use. According to micro-direct, it's got various audio out option - via component (red/white phono cables) or optical - I.e. into a separate amp; or 'speaker output' which I would imagine just means those terminals you jam some wires into - like you get on mini CD players etc. What does it look like it has?

    Powerball

Yeah it's ok. Better than I can do (I think my best is just under 11000) but I have small hands I've lost my Powerball
  12. What have you actually bought?

    Ipod Help

Yeah. Super is OK (and fast) if you use the right settings but it's a bit of a faff to set up since there's loads of options. Videora takes all the hassle out. Or use Handbrake for Mac.

  15. Maybe it's just that Adam's better at taking photos.
  16. I'm a student and I don't even wear eye shadow! Anyway college /= university.
  17. Go HERE and click on the spoke calculator. It will give you the dimensions for your hub, and if you can tell it the ERD (effective rim diameter) of your rim, then it'll work out spoke lengths too. Edit - ERD for those rims is apparently 493. So for 32h, 3x cross: Drive Side = 236.9 Non-drive side = 237.8 Please double check that using the calculator I linked to. Also if there's different number of spokes or you're planning to build it different to 3x, you'll have to do it yourself
  18. My Mum is still paying for my insurance, 6 months after I bought her car off her. She hasn't realised yet I'm pretty sure that means you're invincible
  19. BB rise isn't necessarily a good thing, but I can't think of any trials frame from the last 3-4 years that actually has BB drop. It's just one of those things that we now know is a bad idea, like short wheelbases and long chainstays. It makes the bike better for other things though - like cornering at speed
  20. For some reason that much nicer the other one I saw (Dan Ko's I think)
  21. This bike will be much harder to control and heavier than anything modern, and there's no way it'll do a 50" sidehop or anything like that. Fair enough if it's a hand-me-down though, ride it and enjoy. But those frames are OLD, and they weren't even trials-specific frames in the first place - pretty much nothing was at that time. Just because something even more unsuitable exists doesn't mean that this is a great trials bike.
  22. I'd cut it shorter - I don't know that I'd trust those funbolts with that kind of leverage.
  23. Yeah, Akrigg does that in the Trialnoir DVD, looks really good.
