  1. They are the cables for the drag lift. No Photoshopping required It was this jump, so I was probably about as high as this guy - Tim (who I think you might know, Adam - from school).
  2. I went, it was ace Check me out, haha.
  3. That gap to the handrail and then riding up it was sweet! Nice video
  4. Also, maguras are designed to take huge pressures - like when you squeeze the lever for example. I don't know exactly how much pressure there will be in the system under hard braking but I imagine it's a lot. I.e. Water is probably not going to damage the system. However, having a ride cut short (and having to walk home) because your brake is locked on is not ideal Syringe bleeds aren't hard to do at all, but they're not easy to do well. The bath bleed is genius really - it's so easy to get a perfect bleed. For me that's the best argument for using water in a magura. Unless you're rich and like making a mess, then you can bleed maguras with a vat full of proper mineral oil. Anyway, yeah I've bled a brake with WD40 - just spray it into a bowl and then use the normal syringe method. But it's not very good...

    Csubi Ride

Mplayer is open-source - I.e. free and legal. So feel free to post it up if you like. I use VLC though, never had any problems
  6. No, it's called a split link mate Er... I have had no problem with the split links. They're easily strong enough and I think if you're having problems with the back bit popping off you're probably doing it wrong.

    New Front Disc

You could look at the Avid Juicy 7s then, they're decent and less than a Hope.

    More 24

I always liked the way that bike looked. Dunno why, it just looks fun. Yeah, that happened to mine. But it never really affected how it worked - only how it looked.
  9. I'm going on the 20th January I think... Gonna book it late though
  10. Haven't ridden my bike at all in like 2 months
  11. Haha sweet I suppose it can be well lubricated and protected though.
  12. Pfft, I live in Manchester...
  13. Too right. But I've run a King for at least 4 years and I've never taken it apart, so I'm not convinced they're high maintenance. Maybe I'm lucky.
  14. It's this place: http://www.thepriceofcheese.com/snowreport.php
  15. I don't think those gearbox things are especially light. They're supposed to be reliable and harder to damage. Plus they move the weight into the middle of the bike. But overall I think they're heavier.

    Iphone Help!

How does it restore to the original settings? If it's via iTunes I would expect that means it'll undo the unlocking and possibly flash it to v1.1.2 which can't be unlocked. So be careful. You might want to ask on another forum that might know.
  17. And conversely try some headphones in the PC to check that's not the problem.
  18. There's some there already Link
  19. If it snows I'm going to Yad Moss (ski 'resort' near Penrith). Anyone coming?
  20. Yeah but hard drives are dirt cheap. You can get a 250Gb hard drive for under £40.
  21. I don't think the dropout weakens or anything like that - a lump of very soft aluminium isn't going to provide much structural support. But you might not be able to clamp the QR/axle properly if you take it off - hence the need for a broken hanger.
  22. That explains why you can buy single parts with different brands on, but it doesn't explain why there are so many near-identical companies in the first place.
  23. Shoulda gone with red like I said. Nah, that looks really fit
  24. Koxxdays website In French though. As far as I can tell from my pretty rubbish translation, there's nothing on the site that we don't already know. Just that it's been going since 2000 and it's a place for the top riders to meet and test stuff bla bla bla. 31st March - 1st April EDIT: Whoops that's last year :$
  25. So all the other brands were originally set up by someone other than Deng? I never heard of them until they were Deng.
