My Juicy's rotor is a bit different to that. More curvy and more 'spokes' on it. But yeah, it's prob no different to the normal one. I was thinking about buying a BB7 to replace the Juicy, but there's probably not a lot of point...
-
HERE As far as I can tell, the only real difference is that they come with a different rotor which Avid calls the Roundagon. And it doesn't really look that amazing. But are they different in any other way?
-
In a room under the stairs, 4 bikes locked to each other. The theory is that if they're gonna be nicked, they'll have to get them all out together which is probably impossible.
-
There is no such thing as a bike for everything. You won't get a bike that's capable of doing XC and Trials. You won't get a bike that's good for DJ and Trials. And you won't get a bike that can do XC and DJ unless you buy a jump bike, and that'll be really hard work for XC. So you need to make a choice my friend. Trials is good
-
For trials, the BB7 is probably better than the Juicy, and it's about half the price. I have a juicy on my trials bike and I'm considering "downgrading" to a BB7, and sticking the Juicy on my XC bike (Juicys are pretty good for XC/DH as they have loads of modulation). I just need to find a decent place to buy a BB7 from

Yeah, if the rotor is 3mm too narrow, it'll only be 1.5mm at the caliper. And I reckon you could easily sort that by faffing with the spacers (if you wanted to).

The Clear 660s alll had funny seat tubes (except one or two custom ones) so they only took mini seats. But the Fluid 609 has a proper seat tube - perhaps that's what you were thinking of? So yeah, it needs a seat post. I have the Carbon seat on my ET and it's pretty cool I guess, if only because you can say it's half ti half carbon

The thing is though, you would definitely struggle to buy a decent mountain bike (that would last), or a decent road bike for £400. You wouldn't get a great BMX either I'd imagine. So £400 really isn't that much to start out in a sport, especially when the T-Pro is/was pretty good geo etc. I guess at least this way people can upgrade stuff fairly easily a month or two down the line, whilst keeping the initial (scary) price high. As soon as you start riding trials, most people love and want to throw money at their bike... But if you've never ridden before and you're not sure you'll like it, £50 saved is worth it.

Do you have a video of that? It sounds cool. If the plane is going 100 mph forward, the runway goes 100mph in the other direction. What's hard to understand about that?
-
Because if the belt is matching the speed of the plane, it doesn't really matter, because the wheels will just spin a bit faster. It's like standing on a treadmill on rollerskates, whilst pulling on a rope: You'll move forwards. Obviously that's if the belt was matching the speed of the plane. That's shockingly simple, everyone should understand it. But if the belt matches the speed of the wheels, it's much more interesting and contentious.
-
1. The conveyor belt matches the wheels, it doesn't lag behind otherwise that just completely ruins the hypothetical scenario. 2. It's completely hypothetical so the resistance in the bearings in not relevant, we're talking ideal perfect situations here. If you're not then I'm sure there are a million things much more important to think about (E.g. where to get a mile-long treadmill from)
-
It's a completely theoretical question though. Obviously there isn't a conveyor belt big enough for a plane, and powerful enough to rotate a few hundred yards of tarmac. It's just a bit of fun. I understand all of the issues involved, but it completely depends on how you interpret the wording. It basically depends on whether the treadmill is matching the speed of the plane or the wheels. So to say people are wrong when we don't even know what we're talking about is a bit stupid really.

Sounds like you just wanna stick to a mod until you grow a bit maybe? As much as I love 24, I don't really think it's the answer to your problems.
-
Because your mirror is on upside down? My mirror flips both upsidedown and left-to-right, like it should do. Anyone who thinks otherwise is clearly a moron who did dual award science. And the people that think the plane will take off don't need to be so aggressive about it. Especially seeing as we don't even have the exact wording of the problem which is crucial. But then what do I know, I only did dual award science GCSE P.S. This is a whole new can of worms: The Monty Hall Problem Suppose you're on a game show, and you're given the choice of three doors. Behind one door is a car, behind the others, goats. You pick a door, say number 1, and the host, who knows what's behind the doors, opens another door, say number 3, which has a goat. He says to you, "Do you want to pick door number 2?" Is it to your advantage to switch your choice of doors? Don't answer unless you have actually thought hard about this. Even then most people won't get it. But just think of this; if it was a case of simple probability, would I have bothered to post this up? The difference is with this one that there IS a correct answer, which can be proven. Anyway, enjoy.

If the wheels aren't moving faster than the treadmill (and they're not, the riddle says so), then how can the plane move?
-
Why what else can it do?

Real black is the absence of any light though, it's as close to nothing as we can possibly imagine. Black means no photons are hitting our retina, no signal goes to the brain, nothing is seen. Of course, you have to experience something before you can comprehend nothingness, but in terms of what blind people can see, I'd say black is a good guess. I am intrigued as to whether a blind person can visualise, say, a cube in the same way as I can. I doubt it. Interesting. It's kinda like thinking about how Cavemen thought. Generally when I think, I do it in terms of words in my head. Without language, can you really think?

I have that background too As for the centering thing - I have never worked that out. I usually just add some empty white space at the bottom of the picture in photoshop (or paint I guess) and use that. If you have something not quite centered it's better to have more blank space at the bottom than at the top. Just looks more natural that way. What I mean is that you don't have to get it perfectly lined up, as long as there's more blank space under the picture than above it

I loved it. It kinda reminds me of Goldeneye which was the first Brosnan film. It was a very typical Bond film with basically lots of quips, fighting, womanising and Aston Martins (They even had a DB5 in it). So nothing really that out of the ordinary. But it was a fair bit darker than the other Bond films (Although Die Another Day was quite dark too) which was cool, it was pretty grown-up. And I have no idea how it was only a 12 certificate - It was really violent. The only real problems were him emerging from the sea in his speedos, showing off his body. That's not for Bond to do, that's for his ladies. Oh, and he was always pouting which was a bit annoying. But yeah, if you're thinking of going to see it, do.

There's not really that much you can do for the ligaments in the shoulder. Unless you meant tendons? I tore a ligament in my shoulder and had it fixed with surgery. But all you can do other than that is to strengthen the muscles around the shoulder so you don't rely on the ligaments as much, if you see what I mean?

I think the start-up time is pretty irrelevant. It's something to do with the dust-removal system isn't it? I.e. the Canon takes half a second every time you turn it on to get rid of the dust? But actually you can set it to only shake the dust off when you want, making the start-up time really quick. Something like that anyway. But anyway, as F-stop said, both are good. If you like the feel of the Nikon I'd probably go for that.

Haha, that was probably the best bit for me - "The running of the Jew". I have a friend who is Jewish and she thought that bit was funny too so I don't really see why people would get too offended.

P reg Astra (older model) 1.4 - Horribly underpowered, slow, rubbish all round. Polo Mk3 1.6 petrol - Much faster than the Astra ^^^, pretty nice but clutch is heavy. Golf Mk3 1.9 diesel. Comfortable to drive but not that fun. Golf Mk4 1.9 Diesel. Pretty nice to drive, much faster than the Mk3. Looks nice too. Polo saloon Mk3 1.6 diesel. Horrible car, zero power. Can't really go uphill. Skoda Fabia Diesel 1.6? Dull, but quite good for the money I guess. Mondeo 2.0l Petrol Mk2. Big and good for bikes, quite nice to drive but not very fast at all. Skoda Fabia VRS. My mum's mid-life crisis. 135 BHP in a small car. Nicest out of the lot I've ever driven. Land Rover Defender on some off road course thing. Was fun, but really weird to drive. Clutch is so (intentionally) mushy. Probably a few more, but meh.

Sounds like you would need to go back and get it checked out later. A lot of the time if you pitch up to A&E they can't really do anything until the swelling has gone down, so they send you away and you come back in a week or whatever. I'm pretty sure that if you went with your shoulder like in that picture, they would want to do something more for you... And yeah, GPs can be a bit rubbish when it comes to these things. Sounds like Simon can sort you something out though. Physio: I was just curious as to what gives pain + clicking. Although my ankle clicks really very loudly, it never really hurts.
