  1. If you want to get technical, it's not really either is it? The backwheel isn't going to where the front was.. That's awesome, it must take some uber umph-age.
  2. Tap the crank around a bit with a rubber mallet to loosen it up. As in, onto the BB and off it. This seemed to do the trick for me. But i suppose it does depend on why it's stuck - fusion of metals or what ever it is, or pushed on too far. Experiment!
  3. Pah you all stole my witty ideas! If you're like me, you'll have your hand right at the end of the grips..cut them off to make them as small as possible. Cut off side knobbles on tyres. Use half the number of spokes?
  4. Does a community support officer have the power to issue fines? I thought that's what police were for..
  5. I love it because everyone makes me giggle, i can find free stuff (e.g. those razors!), i can find out random facts that impress other people, i can solve my problems that i didnt even know existed. Erm there were some other things but i can't remember what now hmmmm
  6. SPD pedals and shoes for the win but really, think about how often you hit your shins, if you do it daily, maybe get a pair, otherwise just deal with. "pain is only temporary..."
  7. Who needs accuracy?
  8. Justin Timberlake makes me cringe. All of that R&B and hip hop 50 cent crap talking about guns and da hood or whatever. Muse are getting annoying now. They seem to whine the same things in all their songs. Most of all, the person that sings that glamorous song
  9. The National Lottery is part of the Camelot group, it would more than likely have something to do with Camelot on the email if it was real. Also, no one would offer money to an email address. Obviously fake.
  10. Proud to say i've never had one Proper yank little kid hair do!
  11. There are a few options, firstly, if you aren't confident enough, you can go on this special mock up course, obviously you'll have to get on to proper roads at some point, there's your standard lessons, which usualy come as half an hour (a bit of a waste of time really), hour, 90 minutes and two hour. I always had an hour and a half, which i thought was about right, you don't get bored/ stressed but it's enough time to get into it and learn. There are intensive courses you can take, where you start monday and take your test friday or something, but i believe they are expensive. After a bit of learning, and learning your theory and hazard perception, book that test which is about £20, then get your practical test booked (about £50ish) and hope you pass. After that there's the option of taking you pass plus, which costs around £100, depending on who you do it with, which basicaly gives you a qualification that says you can drive in different conditions and on the motorway (as opposed to the dual carriageway on lessons). As far as im aware thats all you do on the pass plus. The idea is that it gives you insurance discount, but it's only valid with some insurers. It would be wise go get an idea of the car you will be buying and get a few quotes form insurers to get an idea of the cheapest and if that company accepts pass plus. Once you're all sorted, the world is your oyster, as long as your bank acount permits Have fun! To answer the original question, i had 23 hours, the average is between 30 and 40 i think. I only went out twice with my dad on a bit of quiet road where he works to get an idea of the basic controls, i.e understanding the clutch and gears etc. I think its a good idea to go and do that because it realy does give you a head start.
  12. Ebay it theres absolutley tons on there. I went halves with my cousin on a pair of 14mile ones, about £20 each if i remember rightly..
  13. Only kennard could come up with that! It was inevitible. I kind of have a little routine: Get a pint of strong vimto, sit down, down it, wash my hands and face because they are all scabby and sweaty, if its a sunday, sit down and have a huge roast meal, chunk of fruit cake and a cuppa, and watch top gear. Otherwise just have a massive nosh up and sometimes go for a warm down kind of ride in the evening. (does anybody else get addicted to riding? like you HAVE to go out?) Then its sleep
  14. I just found out ive missed out on £230 Oh dear
  15. Is that you with pink boxers hanging out in the first pic? I can't see that taking off Good news anyway Edit: Just out of curiosity (and risking looking a tit), is your name pronounced 'bue'/'bew' or bo?
  16. Just though this thread could lighten up some poor person's day! I just had the kitchen tap on full and managed to pull the handle off.. oops. Anyway lets hear how you made arses of yourselves.
  17. Thanks for the replies. Yeah my dad works for the government so can get free HPI checks which is good I've also just found this website which details all the things to look for when buying a mini and paperwork which will no doubt be of use to other potential buyers. Cheers again
  18. So yeah im virtualy at the point of buying a car - its looking likely its going to be a Mini! Waay! Anyway i was wondering what documents etc do i need to ask for from the current owner. All i can think of is service history, MOT sheets and the registration documents. Is there anything else? Cheers
  19. Ive never worn a less comfortable pair of shoes to ride in! They're too rigid, they cut off the blood circulation to the end of my foot and it goes all cold! Also, due to them being made of a bit of rag, they aren't supporting in the least.
  20. Chocolate raisins - oo dear! I can munch a pack of Tesco's ones in about 5 mins, and thats trying to go slowly. I eat far too many according to mum Also i get days where i can drink and drink - Vimto usualy. My best so far is 4 pints in 20 odd minutes.
  21. I think i would be too tempted to set it alight and ride if i tried it! Also its quite an expensive way of doing it..
  22. I saw a guy (not sure of his name) riding with N.Wood in Plymouth on one of those Fresh probuct frames - with all the holes in it. I thought it looked pretty sweet. But the flex.... Was a prototype to be fair..
