I would be against FFW. The ones I have seen have skipped quite often. No I have never ridden one but I can still observe. And in your case your thinking of changing from 2 of the best bike parts ever made, middleburn cranks and a chris king hub. You need some money and I think you could make the change you suggest and ride with it ok. But I suggest against it and I personally would never run FFW. Plus you loose the extra engagement from the ratio of chain ring to sprokect, which in most cases gives rear kings 108 eg points. The only reason all the pro's run them is because they all ride for koxx, or onza who happen to make FFW cranks and stuff. Plus they get new ones regularly. Last I heard Vince was running an acs claw. You cant tell me there good just cos Vince runs one ok.

I quite enjoyed it. I suppose the saving grace for it would be that its only 2mins long so doesnt really have the chance to get too boring. I agree with people who say there was potential for some nice lines in there, but maybe he does ride lines when not filming or maybe the moves he was doing were at the edge of his limit so it was hard enough to do the one move. The rolling gap over the road would have been nice to see the gap then up onto the wall right infront of it. But again this will come with time, as will style. ^_^

I would go with hope mono trial. Had one since last christmas and I love it. Recently bought an adapter so now have 180 and its better for modulation and hold and feel. Avids do bite very well though, but Im not sure about them other than that. I have had one problem with my mono when I feel off a rail and caught the hose mount into the caliper, so it leaked a bit. But f**k me was it easy to bleed. Just had to tighten up the bolt that I knocked loose and bleed. Only problem I have with mine is when hanging off the front wheel static, say of the edge of a wall looking to wheel swap it up, and there isnt to much of a lip for the tyre to grip to, then it sometimes slips backwards. It does have all my weight on it pulling it backwards and down but it can get annoying. I dont know if any brake would let you do this or not really.

I dont think it the bike your bored with its you. If trials is getting boring then you must have done every move possible and got super consistent. Sorry, Im not having a go as I have felt like this before but if your finding riding boring why not try some stuff switch, makes it like learning again, or try something your wrong way, or try not stopping whilst doing a line, or try...... There is so much to do that I find it hard to get bored. Also who ever said try natural is totally right. I love both and both are good for different things.But you can be just as streety on natural as there are so many posssible lines. Natural can really freshen your riding up. But even on street, try stuff you never have and make life interesting for yourself. I hate this I can only tap, gap and side hop a long bike approach. And if I want to do spins I need a 24 inch bike. Back in the day people did everything on one bike. And people always say they are the good old days, but then seperate everything out with bikes. :( I dont know (Y)

I have no idea mate? I think I can get a crash replacement for 1/2 price but there isnt much point if they are going to crack after 2 months again. And I work full time so it's not like Im on them all the time. Maybe 2 eveings and the weekends.

I retract my statement of smart guys. My ones have a small crack after 2 months use.

Well wheeler isnt very big at all and he rides the long python. His riding improved alot since he has been riding it, the only real draw back he has said is the ability to bunny hop it. He still can, quite high, but its not the nicest thing to do. He went from an echo team.

If you have taken the spring out and its still hitting the frame, you need to tighten it up more. Once its locked out it shouldnt move up and down at all.

Well i just ended up with two sets of koxx grips and bloxx. So I spent £60 and waited three weeks, where I should of only spent £30 and waited 2 days. Needless to say never again.

Nah they are really shit. When I tried to use them, I waited a week and nothing so rang them and they said dhl depot had been burgled. So they said they would re-fund me, so I ordered else where and then 2 weeks later the stuff shows up. They hadnt re-funded me anything :blink:

yeah he did. I think they must of dropped 2 in the same place as each other but, dan couldnt get through one of the sections everytime, and must have messed up another one.

I wouldnt spend money on anything other than shimano Qr's. So to answer your question, no dont buy x-lite but definatly change your hopes to shimano's.

Im bloody worried about my smart guys now :P I thought they were really strong and only a couple of sets had snapped. They seem strong to me and are very stiff. I thought only danny smith and aust had cracked a set.
