Looking good dude! You're making this crash very expensive for yourself I'm guessing you got the Eibach top mounts with your prize? They seem ok on mine, only thing I would say, is watch the locating pin on the top hat bit, they are renowned for snapping, leaving the adjustment free to move around. One of my pins wasn't even in the top hat, so I just welded a bolt cut to the right length in its place. The other side, the pin is there, but 2 of the 3 spot welds have cracked, so that will be modified too soon.

Just fitted, and bedded in some Ferodo DS2500's to the Brembos on my Cupra R. Holy shiiiiiiiiittt does it stop well now! Bedding in procedure is brutal, resulting in a stinking, hot, smokey set of brakes, but once they've cooled down, they are amazing!

Yeah man, thats fine! Will be fun. Don't worry about the tickets though, Snetterton "residents" get free entry to any event (one of the reasons why I love living here so much!).

By the way Adam, if you need somewhere to kip, or wanna grab some (non-overpriced track) dinner, you're more than welcome to come to mine. The next person to argue about or even mention these f**king BMW wheels gets banned for a week. Its gone on for long enough. They came of a 90's saloon. Whoop-de-doo. I dont think anybody is disputing getting 5 decent wheels with good tyres for less than £300 is a good deal. I'd jump at it if it was me! I think the easiest way to prove a point would be to show a few sets selling for £800...

What you say may be true, but you are missing something fairly fundemental; what something costs, and what something is worth are two very different things. My Leon cost me £4.5k, I've now spent nearly £2k on it, however, that doesn't mean its worth £6.5k! People will pay what similar examples are "worth", regardless of the price you have in your head. At the end of the day, its a buyer's market.

Jardo, why don't you put the wheels up for sale for £800? Made yourself a tidy profit, then a point will be made to either side of the arguement (although I think its fairly clear which side is right )

If its still taxed it should be ok? Normally if its SORN, you give the tax disc back (if its not run out). Therefore, the only reason you would SORN it is so you didn't have to insure it, however, now you've insured it, theoretically its not SORN'd now? ...thats how I understand it anyway, although by no means do I know!

So Lou paid £300 odd for the plate with transfer fee's and shit. You then pay to have the plate on rentition, and then have to pay AGAIN to get it put on your next car. All of which while you sell the clio at a loss to buy a "stop gap" car until September, when its "big money month", so presumeably you'll get a big bonus, so you can buy something nice. Am I the only one thinking, why not just keep the clio until September, then sell it to buy something nicer if needs be? Surely a decent 172 is going to be worth more to sell than a grandad spec 318 is a god awful colour? Not to mention the fact that now the nice plate your girlfriend spent a lot of money on, is effectively useless, hiding in a cupboard. I really don't get you sometimes!

Have to agree I'm afraid. If you'd swapped for a 328 or something that could be considered an upgrade, then fair enough. But this just seems like a huge backwards step, just so you can attempt to go sideways (but not hold it because of the asthmatic engine). Out of interest, how come you can't transfer the plate? Apart from it being worth more than the car

He has already said be is going to fix it! The rear beam mount needs jigging, but other than that, apart from some fairly epic panel scars, its just looks like war wounds
