  1. I'll check part numbers (will have to cross reference because mines an Audi part), but I'm 99% sure all the 70mm MAF's are the same. Seeing as its you, I'd do it for £25 posted, cos its doing is both a favour then! But like you say, let me know
  2. Tic: TC/ESP and EML on together normally indicates the MAF has gone, but get it vcds'd to confirm. If it is that, don't buy a new one (they are about £100 for a genuine one), I bought a new one for my a3 not long before it was garaged which you can have for cheap if you want? Its easy enough to change, just 2 screws, a jubilee clip and an electrical connector. Adam: Thought that might have been the case, we stayed til the end of the truck race, than sat in mental queues to get out of the car park! Was a good weekend though, plenty of variety in racing!
  3. But remember your GoogleKnowledge has got you in trouble before 1.8t your bag of wank. At least it would be slightly respectable that way
  4. Judging by the countless build threads I have read n various different forums, you can 1.8t ANYTHING! (Examples include a lupo, an Elise, an rx-7, an mg zs etc etc)
  5. Camshaft position sensor has failed on my Leon. Takes a few attempts to start (or will start first time in gear). Each time its tries to crank but doesn't, and the key turned off, there is a HUGE pop/bang out of the exhaust. Sounds cool, but can't be good for it haha! Hopefully a new sensor isn't too much, there's a few on ebay, ranging from £11 to £75, so its just a case of choosing a good one I guess! ...there's always something!
  6. Use an impact gun if you can. If not, you'll need a 7mm Allen key to hold the strut, and a 21mm spark plug socket so the 7mm can pass through the middle and you then turn the socket. Easy enough as long as they aren't too tight!
  7. Lauren's working. Horses don't do bank holidays!
  8. Nah its cool, they were going to pay anyway. Would be good to see you guys as well!
  9. They do want them Will you still come if not? I can probably make up a story or something if needs be, lol! I'm happy to collect them off you Ads and give them to Paul if needs be. My house is on the way to the track for him anyway. Who will be coming with you Paul? The trucks are ridiculous, really are a sight to behold. Won't be quite as good as Brands Hatch, because the lack of gradient means there is less chance of a rollover (last one I watched at Brands, out of 3 races, 3 were red flagged due to at least one rollover!)
  10. Ok thanks. If anybody else wants them first, let them have them. If not, I'll grab them on Sunday or something.
  11. Couple of mates are going from work, but not sure if they have tickets already. If they dont, can they have/buy them?
  12. There's already talk of this in the car thread, have a look in there.
  13. The interior of that Avant is my favourite part: Fair play to the guy. There's rat, then there's THAT. Its so shit its almost awesome. There must be something wrong with the guy to do all that to an S-Line A4!
  14. That was pretty much my opinion too. Very dull. Nice sound, but that's about it.
  15. Taking a picture whilst breaking the speed limit...tut tut
  16. LCR's are 323mm, 28mm thick. I wouldn't mind them with grooves, but don't want drilled. Cheers dude
  17. Beats being a child fingerer...
  18. FMIC will be bought at the end of the month, then I'll look at a tubular manifold, and WMI, and go from there. However, before that, I'm going to need some new discs. These DS2500's are devouring my current ones haha!
  19. I'd have to bow out at that point, and admit I don't know as far as brake upgrades etc. I'm sure google would reveal all though! LCR is all good (so far anyway!). Lauren is using it for work this week because a horse kicked her rear screen and smashed it, and she's got to wait for the horse's insurance to pay for a new one (Autoglass quoted £598! ). She started the week hating it saying it was too low and hard to drive, now after driving it a bit more, and has learnt to read the road more to avoid bottoming out, she loves it, and told me she wants it haha! Sounds like a good enough reason to make it faster in my eyes!
  20. Nah, its a different chassis. Same as a Fabia I believe. As far as I know, the wishbones are totally different. 4 stud too. Similar engine, but intercooler piping is totally different. Friend of mine had a Jabba mapped "250bhp" stage 2 mk4. Was a lovely car, and really shifted. The oVni yellow does have a habit of fading, and every panel being a different shade! But I'm sure you could sort it with all your products!
  21. I do like ICR's. With a bit of fiddling, they are very capable cars. Just need a ko4 Could easily afford to do it with the money you will save on fuel and insurance!
  22. I drove (and nearly bought, but couldn't insure) an import WRX STI classic when I was 21. Didn't look much different to that to be fair. Considering it had over 300bhp, it was shit. It sounded LUSH, but was incredibly boring, and the brakes were appauling. For the cost the are to run and insure, I'd rather have something else. Plus, you'll have everybody thinking "what a dick" when you drive past, haha I'd much rather have my leon than that I'm afraid, plus, I doubt their would be that much difference in it by the time you take away the transmission losses. A friend of mine has a VR4 galant (2.5 v6 twin turbo) with 290bhp, and mine absolutely dicks him. ...Scooby does look tidy though.
  23. You are the biggest hypocrit known to man. Shame on you.
