  1. So you can honestly say you've never broken the speed limit? ...plus I'm pretty sure every crash doesn't cost a million pounds!
  2. Cup holders in the glovebox. Although I don't know what kind of cups the German designers used, but literally nothing will fit in them! Out of interest Nick, how come you're going back to the standard air box?
  3. I think everybody should get off their high horses, and stop being so f**king hypocritical. EVERYBODY has sped at some point. As Muel said, its (what appears to be, by all accounts) a quiet country lane in the middle of nowhere. If anybody here who drives can tell me they have never pushed there car along a country road at somepoint, then I will stand down; but until then, everybody saying "you were driving like a dick" etc etc, needs to think about what they are saying. I can quite honestly say I would have put my foot down if I was on the same road, I'm not enough of a hypocrit to say otherwise. At least he wasn't ragging it through a residential area at rush hour. Of all the places to crash, the place he "chose" was the most forgiving. Hopefully lessons will be learnt from it, but to say you will never speed again is very wishful thinking! Sure, you'll take it easy for a while, but you'll soon be back to how you were. As much as you try not to, its just a pyschological thing in a car, you feel invincible.
  4. We are getting the ferry at 6am on Friday morning. That's cool that you're coming too! I think I might be in the same situation as you, buckets, rock hard suspension, and no sound deadening. Joy. Hahahahaha
  5. I have the first generation of that ida. I think its the ida-x300 or something. Its very very good. Searching is very easy, and the interface is just so easy to use, I very highly recommend it. The screen also looks very good, I always get comments when new people come in my car!
  6. Andy and Adam, if you're interested in coming, I'd get booking for the ferry pretty soonish, the price seems to be getting more and more expensive as the days go by! Would be good to have a few more people in convoy though!
  7. He already has that exact cable. 2 optical drives going into 1 IDE channel. The adaptor I orignally linked to is the only real option. Either that or a PCI card with SATA ports on it, but there's not really a lot of point, seeing as there is a spare SATA port on the motherboard.
  8. What, apart from both the optical drives which quite clearly plug into the only IDE channel on the board?
  9. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/IDE-TO-SATA-100-133-HDD-CD-DVD-Converter-Adapter_W0QQitemZ390103502080QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Computing_CablesConnectors_RL?hash=item5ad3fb0d00 I had the exact same problem, and ordered a few of these. I would order more than what you need though. I had 3, and one of them didn't work. For that price, you can't really grumble. Took a while to come (about 2 weeks) but its from Hong Kong, so thats to be expected. This is assuming you have a SATA port free on your motherboard, which by the looks of the second picture, you do. You also need a spare power source for it (its the same as a floppy drive connector). The adaptor I got had the lead with it, but you still need to be able to plug it into one of the molex connectors. Its hard to judge by the pictures, but I'm not sure you have any free, so you might need a molex "Y" splitter.
  10. Any progress? I'm looking for a passenger now I think. Pretty sure Tic wanted to come with me, but if not, anybody else?
  11. Just booked the Thursday off work. To be honest, I think its a better idea to travel up on the Thursday too, just makes more sense really. Surely the ferry would be cheaper too? Obviously its up to everybody else at the end of the day.
  12. If the worst comes to the worst, I'll just raid your car during the night
  13. As far as booking goes, if we say we are bringing a passenger, and they drop out for some reason, does that matter too much? And also, what kind of spares did people bring? Hopefully I won't need a new fuel tank this time
  14. I would suggest a group booking, that way everything gets done at once, and means we all get a place. I can forsee if people do it at different times, somebody wil lend up not getting on the ferry Shotgun not me being the money holder though!
  15. Sweet, well let me know when it comes to booking (sooner the better really), and I will get all the money and stuff sorted. Will probably get a day either side off work, just in case. Looknig forward to it!
  16. Sweet, glad its all going ahead. I'm game for booking it. Just don't wanna be the only person going, haha. Dates/times sound spot on to me!
  17. Time is ticking away, is this going to happen or not?
  18. It is encouraged, but only to the best of your ability. I think that's the point that is being put across.
  19. Myself, and a few of my friends are looking to go to the Nurburgring later on this year, was just wondering if anybody on here has been? Pretty sure Prawn has, and possibly Steve (OD404)? Just looking at simple things, like cost, where to stay, hints/tips about the track etc etc, and if its worth going really. I've always been interested in doing it, and now I'm in a postion to do it, I figured why not!
  20. Was sitting down to eat my lunch, and up popped Danny on the screen. He had a 5ish minute section about his riding, and his future plans. Was really good to see him hit "commercial" television.
  21. I had one that said "I <3 TSR" and had various different masks to make him look like a monkey and a lion. ...I also got some ginger guy wanking. Not so appealing.
  22. They might have a website, you don't know that
  23. Poundland do cans of paint, for...a pound, suprisingly! I think theres a choice of white black or grey, with grey or white primer.
