  1. I would replace the jubiliee clip with a bead of weld. They aren't really meant to take force in a horizontal plane. Id it slips, its gonna fall apart, which will hurt!
  2. The forest has four different routes set out, green, blue, red and black. The only ones really bothering with are red and black. Red is 8 miles, black is 11. Both of which require decent brakes, and front suspension ideally, certinally not road bike suitable! Theres a few good spots on the black route for jumping, and are usually frequented by dirt jumpers! I live about five miles away, so any more questions, feel free to ask!
  3. So you use the back door then, Hannah?
  4. I'm not a plumber, so don't take it as gospel, but when our bathroom tap started doing that, dad changed a washer inside it, and it fixed it. Might be worth a shout.
  5. Surely once you've had sex with the dream girl, its all over? I personally would take the car, and take the girl with me Like I said to a girl the other day, I get FAR more of an adreniline rush from REALLY pushing a car than I do from sex. Sure, it doesn't "feel" as nice, but it lasts a lot longer, and gives a great deal more satisfaction!
  6. ...apart from the fact that he says its fine with just the pump circuit on, yet as soon as he introduces the shower circuit, it trips. I'd say its not very likely to be the RCD.
  7. Hannah, considering your stepdad is an "electrician", that is a f**king ridiculous (not to mention dangerous!) thing to suggest. I would be ashamed to call myself an electrician with an attitude like that. If its tripping the RCD main switch (which is what's protecting the other 2 mcb's) then the shower itself has a fault. Normally it will be a live to earth short, or it could be a live/neutral short, but either way, you have a fault in the shower (which will more than likely need replacing by the sounds of it). I would highly recommend getting an electrician in. Shower cicuits (which normally run at anything from 30-63amps) could quite easily kill you.
  8. Some pictures I've found of as many people that lapped as I can find: Me: Liam: Rob: Dan: Nick:
  9. I can't find pictures of me on track anywhere
  10. Road noise is loud everywhere in my car, but yeah, German roads were "quieter" for sure! From this trip, I learnt that if you consider yourself a petrol head, its one of the things that you HAVE to do in your lifetime. The feeling of dropping into the bank at Carousel for the first time is AMAZING! (and also feeling the back end let go a bit further up the track is equally as special, just not in a good way!)
  11. Correct on both counts. Added to Nick's list is his steering rack with epic play in it. Errm...the S3 kissed a barrier somewhat at between 25 and 80mph, depending on who you ask Damage to front and rear wings, headlight and intercooler. Very, very lucky considering the force at which he hit it. The Leon has no 3rd of 4th gear, selector fork being my (correct ) diagnosis. Apparently it happened "just driving along" Other than that, and us all having frost bite on our feet, I think everybody got away pretty well considering! EDIT: Too slow
  12. Holy shit, what a weekend! SOOOOOOOOO much fun, just a shame about the weather! Camping in sub zero temperatures is not something I wish to ever do again. Waking up with ice on the INSIDE of your tent is a horrible thing to feel, haha. As for how it went, we had a few casualties; a mini, an S3, an A3, and a Leon all suffered varying degrees of damage
  13. A Saab 9-5, and an Audi R8, could you get any further apart?!
  14. Hahaha, I was talking about your dilema to Paul earlier, was saying you might be a bit stuffed. How did you do it?
  15. I cant see there being anything "unsafe" on the interior, but I guess its up to them at the end of the day!
  16. Ah shit. I hope my interior will be alright! I still have my front door cards on, so hopefully I will be, but thats about the only thing left in there bar the dash.
  17. Me and DJB off here in my Audi A3 1.8 turbo
  18. Hello mate, was wondering what had happened to you! The ferry leaves Dover at 0600 on the 2nd April, we're meeting on the m25 at 03:30, so am leaving mine at 0100 ish. The return leg home, the ferry leaves Dunkirk at 1400 on 5th April, so I would assume we would be back in Norwich at approx 1900. Sound good?
  19. Up to you mate. That might be better to be honest. Will they pay fuel? And yes, you do need a passport. I *think* you can just use a driving license. but aren't 100% sure. Let me know if you can find it anyway.
  20. Where do you live? That's the only problem I could forsee in this plan, lol. There shouldn't be much cost to this. Camping is 12 euros a night, and you will need to buy food and drink. All the rest would be petrol. Id say £200 would easily see you through, possibly more like £150.
  21. As you know, myself, Prawn, and Broomer (as well as 18 others) are going to Germany to drive the Nurburgring over the Easter bank holiday weekend. Due to work commitments, my passenger now cannot come. I was just wondering if there was anybody that was interested in being my passenger to keep me company, because its an awful long way to drive by myself! Let me know if you're interested, and more details will be told.
  22. Ah, ok, didn't realise you actually "used" the figure in the real world. That's nuts, would never have thought it would be that much! I never thought about the after care as it were, I thought you literally meant the costs involved with the actual crash. Learn something new everyday!
  23. You can still ride safely and crash, especially on a motorbike. Do you have any proof of the million thing? Im not saying you're right or wrong, it just seems like a very high figure, considering the number of road traffic accidents. Going by this, found from google: "There were a total of 247,780 casualties of all severities, 4 per cent lower than in 2006. 2,946 people were killed, 7 per cent lower than in 2006, 27,774 were seriously injured (down 3 per cent on 2006) and 217,060 were slightly injured (down 4 per cent on 2006)" So, according to your theory, £30,720 million is spent just on road traffic accidents?
