Jardo in "being wrong" shocker!!! Aside from that, I serviced mine yesterday. Had full Seat service history, but the fuel filter hadn't been changed in a while! Feels much smoother now. I also dropped the sump and changed the oil pick up pipe, although I needn't have bothered, despite having done 90k, it was VERY clean, but for the sake of the £8 it cost for the part and an hour of my time, it was well worth the peace of mind! Just got spark plugs to change now, going to go for 7's instead of 6's, apparently over 250bhp it is beneificial. Going to go for copper plugs instead of platinum/iridium too; they cool better (but need changing more often). But best of all, they are only £2 each, so if they are no better, its no biggy!

You have to add another card to your account. I can't remember how, but its there somewhere!

How Would Any Of You Pronounce This Word 'heyes'?
george_seamons replied to arw_86's topic in Chit Chat
So Jardo, when you see somebody and greet them saying "hey", do you pronouce it "he"? ...maybe its not quite so basic English after all -
To be fair, I can't imagine being twatted around the head with a padded scaffold pole is going to hurt much less!
-
Take it that was what you're overheating problem was last weekend? Out of interest, how do you fit a waterpump wrong?!

Teenage Angst Communal Agony Aunt Thread
george_seamons replied to Has anyone seen my shoe?'s topic in Chit Chat
Its all downhill from a year onwards lol! -
So do you class Nick's A3 as chavvy then? Yeah, will just be an oil service for that price. Not too bad a price for a book stamp too though to be fair (provided the used the right oil, 1.8t's are quite picky about oil).
-
Woah, woah, WOAH! If anything, this car is the most chavvy of them all, lol. Its the loudest, the biggest wheeled, lowest, and fastest. And the one I've spent the most money modifying haha. ...but thanks for the compliment! Did you get the spark plugs changed too? That's always made a difference on any petrol car I've serviced.
-
Steering wheel was the first difference I said, and mine has stone guards on the front. ...Ive decided to just talk to this brick wall in front of me rather than continue to "argue" with you, its easier and less frustrating.
-
If its "so easy to get confused over it", why are you so insistent on argueing about something you have no idea about?
-
Nick's engine was never even questioned. I know they are lower compression, but the BAM and AMK are exactly the same in that respect. There are LOADS of differences between the AGU and the AMK...what's your point?! "From ETOS and ETKA the block and piston set for AMK :06A 103 101 J and for the BAM : 06A 103 101 J, conrod for AMK : 027 198 401 B, conrod for BAM : 027 198 401 B. So if they are different, nobody told SEAT Parts". Part numbers don't lie! Wheel bearings are the same, just different manufacturer; the driveshaft or hub didn't change, so they must be physically the same.. Seriously...STOP trying to argue over something you have less knowledge about. You've been shot down and proven wrong several times so far, do you really want to carry on and make yourself look even more of a tool?!
-
I just tried to ban you, but I could only work out how to warn you...and that's no help!
-
I have an aftermarket headunit, so that is irrelevant. I have 20mm wrist pins, and I have twist locks and retracting cords too. My car is a parts bin mish mash. So get back in your box and stop trying to out-geek me on my own car you little f**ktard.
-
Lol Tic, don't you start as well! Only difference between mine and the 210 and 225 is a different steering wheel, its basically a facelifted version, but mine is kinda in the middle because it has the "teardrop" mirrors which old ones don't. They both remap to the same figures.
-
It certinally is. AMK engine, KO4 turbo, as standard it is 210bhp.
-
They really are absurdly fast round the track. Literally was gobsmacked at their cornering speed and watching them do 140 while mm's off the floor is insane!
-
It pretty much only did 140 once lol, inlet temperatures get too hot too quickly with the standard twin intercoolers You're right though, that trackday was an un-needed expense haha! No idea on times, my passenger was too busy clinging on/holding back sick to time!
-
Thanks guys! I'm pretty happy with it, wanted one for a long time. Got a few more things I want to do to it, but its a very expensive car to run, so finding money for mods as well as running it (and a house!) is tricky, added to that, everything I want to do now is expensive haha. When I have the money I would like the wheels refurbed dark anthracite, with the roof vinyled to match, FMIC, tubular manifold, water/meth injection and if I get the money; hybrid turbo. As for current mods; Stage 2 remap, 3" turbo-back decat non-res exhaust, 3" turbo intake pipe, BIG Jetex cone filter with heatshield, N249 valve bypass, Forge 007P recirc valve, Weitec coilovers, Eibach adjustable topmounts, 10mm front spacers, 15mm rear spacers, Ferodo DS2500 brake pads, Whitline adjustable rear antiroll bar, powerflex gearbox mount, HID dipped and mains headlights, de-wiper, colour coded rear "S" badge, debadged boot, Alpine iPod headunit. AMD (who remapped it) dyno'd it at 300.4bhp and 325ftlbs, but their rollers are well known for being optimistic, so probably closer to 285bhp and 300ftlbs, although it is still RAPID! Adam, along the back straight, I was getting 140mph until I heatsoaked (because of the lack of FMIC) then it dropped down to about 120. Its a VERY cabable car, and even without the extra power, it runs rings around my Audi, it is just superior in every way. For the money they are now, there is a huge amount of potential for an awesome car.

As promised!: And a drive-by video (ignore the first clip, I was doing a cool down lap!) http://www.facebook....&type=3 There was a few more pictures, but they were all from the same corner unfortunately, so they all look pretty similiar, didn't want to bore you all!
-
Bombhole - Coram - Murrays is such an epic series of corners. You're right though, no matter what line you take, Coram to Murrays always feels off. I managed to make my passenger sick over 4 laps. He's more into off-roading than track, haha!
-
Looks good dude! Reassuring to know we both take exactly the same lines! Wish I had a camera onboard mine, would make for some interesting viewing.

Describe Your Sex Life With A Movie Title

One man one jar. -
I'll get pics up as soon I get them off him. You'll love it Nick, I think you're car will be perfect there. Unlike in the Audi, I wasn't willing the car along the straights, it seemed to have just the right amount of power. Suited it just right. All I would want next time is better brake fluid.
-
So, instead of passengering Tarty at Snetterton, I ended up taking my cupra R out (Would say due to peer pressure, but it didn't take a lot haha ) With absolutely NO track preparation, I have to say, I was mightely impressed; cornered well, was boosting REALLY strongly, and was stopping really well too (until I boiled the fluid after 3 laps, but a re-bleed sorted that). Seemed MUCH better than my Audi was, which is nice, considering the money I've spent haha! Had several people coming up to me saying how nice it sounded, and how well it was going, which was nice Was genuinely surprised at the noise reading though, was only 89dB, thought it was way louder! Friend of mine took pictures, so hopefully will have some up soon.

Put it on a 0% credit card and pay it off over the year?
