  1. Lost my only key for my car. Fffffffffuuuuuu...... Wonder how much this is going to cost?!
  2. Exactly, I thought that was the case. I knew his was tuned by them, but was pretty sure he had never had anything personally done! I'll look into them for stage 2, although I know they have pretty epic waiting lists from what I've heard (although that makes sense seeing as they are considered to be the best!) Don't be disappointed for me, I'm thrilled with how it drives haha!
  3. Meh, its all a bit late now anyway haha! Bit hard to form a decision when the bad points are "behind closed doors"! Maybe I'll go to R-Tech for stage 2, who knows. Must admit, I thought they were far further than that from me! What did you have done at R-Tech Jardo?
  4. Have you got any links to what you're saying? I get what you mean, but searched google for AMD reviews, AMD poor maps etc etc, and literally found nothing! It was 216 bhp before (AMK engine, catback non-res exhaust, jetex cone), 256bhp after, but Ben said it would be a couple more once it had adapted. Can't remember the torque, but it was about the same increase. Still got the 3" TIP to go on, so hoping for 10-15bhp and lbfts extra on this. Then I'll fit a decat downpipe and go for stage 2 in a few weeks. Wanna get DS2500's first though, I miss them from my Audi!
  5. As much as I would like an R-Tech map, having to travel four hours either way is not something I am prepared to do for a stage 1 map! I chose AMD because I have read countless reviews from people saying how pleased they were with the service/outcome, and I have to agree, I was treated very well, and the car absolutely flies now! Another consideration was the fact I am planning to go to stage 2 in the future, and AMD is right on the boundries of distance I am willing to make 2 trips to! And no offence, but you're opinion is invalid, because you haven't had any work done by either of them. I will look into the apparent AMD pitfalls, and see what I can find. I've just ordered a boost gauge and pillar pod, so I can keep an eye on boost levels. There are literally hundreds of people on SCN with AMD maps, they can't be that bad!
  6. Mine isn't a Revo map, its a "custom" AMD inhouse jobby. Although saying that, I never had any problems with the Revo on my Audi, other than it being all or nothing between 3-4.5k, then it quickly tailed off, rather than the constant power of this one.
  7. It was either AMD or Revo, and remembering how my Audi was all or nothing, I wanted a more progressive delivery. The road tested it before the map was on, then dyno'd, then put the map on, then road tested, then did an after dyno. From what I read on seatcupra.net, people were very impressed with the maps, so saw no reason to doubt them! Got me worried now!
  8. Leon is now running 260bhp with a little help from AMD. Good lord what a difference! Still got a 3" turbo intake pipe to go on once it comes (hopefully this week!), which from most reports adds about 10bhp. Can't even begin to imagine what Prawn's is like with another 70bhp and several 100kg less! Mine's like an absolute monster now!
  9. Any trials rider that entered would probably not get as far as Joe, because the judges would have "seen it all", so there would be no "wow factor".
  10. Drank a pint glass of salt water and mozzerella in Pizza Hut for a fiver when I was at college. Was the only way I could afford to pay for my lunch, hahahaha!
  11. As a moderator, I can confirm there will be no warns (On my behalf anyway!) [/dirty old man]
  12. I enjoyed that! Think the chilled out music really worked well against the hussle and bustle of the busy city. Particuarly like the traffic lights at the end. bet that took a lot of photos to get to the end product!
  13. Its ok, he's a virgin. He obviously feels intimidated.
  14. ...but then the cost of the helium outweighs the cost of the pick and mix I guess its all relative to the size of the balloon.
  15. I was at the cinema the other week with my girlfriend and another couple. We got some pick and mix sweets, and went to weigh them on the scales to pay. The (ripoff!) price came up, we paid, and off we went to watch the film. Whilst we were waiting for the film to start, the other couple asked the question (or moreso, made the statement) that "Putting a helium balloon in the pick and mix bag would make the final price cheaper, because helium weighs less than air". Now, I believed (and still do!), that this is a daft statement. They couldn't appreciate that adding the helium balloon to the pick and mix bag would make the bag weigh more than it did without the balloon being in there at all (because you have the weight of the actual balloon itself). However, they were insistent that it would be cheaper, due to the helium making the bag lift off the scales ever so slightly due to the effect of the helium balloon. So...who is right?!
  16. Id like to see what it was like to be a girl.
  17. That picture should have been burnt in hell.
  18. At the end of the day, does it really matter? The only people that can see the warns are myself and the others moderators, and Danny and Tom. The only way it really matters is if you get to 100% and are banned. As others have said, there is no time limit, they stay on there until we decide to remove them (which in the case of them not reeaaally affecting anything, ie. unless its going from 100% to 80%, its not very often!)
  19. Very few things need earthing seperately nowadays. A (relitively) new earthing system called PME (Protective Multiple Earths) incorporates the neutral and earth cables together at source of entry (incoming mains), so at each socket, the neutral and earth sockets do pretty much the same job. Although how relevant this is abroad, I am not so sure! Added to that, unless the item is metal cased, there isnt really a need for it to be earthed (in the case of protecting the user from shock anyway), so if the appliance is plastic (which if its double insulated, it will be), there is no need to worry.
