  1. good luck and yea, i listen as much as i can mike, I've missed one so far and will miss this weeks due to not replacing my laptop yet but hopefully i'll catch the next ones if you're still doing them. Understand the fact you're knackered though, but isn't this a great thing to have on your CV? The longer you do it the better it will look...
  2. *shakes fist* you found me out nah i do a little more than that. weekly meetings with kitch for a start, so sort of know whats going on...
  3. Just for the record I was never saying I believed him or not, just that people seemed to be rubbishing it too early. But to be fair that pic looks familiar... and 'shopped. But we shall see wont we? edit: dur, of course it's 'shopped, it's a mock up, but yea hopefully you get what I meant. I meant amateur.
  4. that's what she said... ish. i dont think she said blade but she was definately kicking me out at the time.
  5. I just meant giving an exact date of both announcement and release, christ this thread is almost as up it's own arse as the photography thread. "My gosh, you haven't read every post by every person? Get out, we've been here longer, we know best."
  6. are those curved blades used for chopping herbs included?
  7. I don't see why he'd lie about it to be honest, it's only 3 days till he'd look like a twat so hardly like anyone would forget..
  8. I've got to admit that I haven't fully read through everyones long posts on here, so please forgive any repition of other peoples thoughts. I currently work on MBR magazine and have done for a couple of years, for that reason I'd say I've got a pretty good hold on the media and bike side of the market and for that reason I'd love to make the following suggestions: * Choose A4 OR 60ish pages, not both. The reason for this is fact that Trials (as much as we love it) does not have the content every month to fill up that amount of space. BTM was A5 wasn't it? * The other option, if you're set on both of the above, would be to start off slower - bi-monthly or quarterly. Singletrack started off quarterly many years ago, and through steady growth in a much larger market than trials they have only just got to being a monthly publication. * Get financial backing. Advertising Advertising Advertising. It's all well and good you being able to carry the mag for a while but your own point about the other mags dying is solely down to the fact that this can't go on forever. The earlier you get the magazine to tickover on it's own the better - another case for going bi-monthly at least. * Don't call it Tuck magazine! I'm at work at the moment, so can't go as in depth as I'd like, but feel free to add me to msn if you want to chat about it. J
  9. Phew! There I was thinking I might look stupid if I got it wrong..
  10. dont turn the hob up too much otherwise your fingers will turn to some form of smelly lattice work?
  11. @ work + no personal computer = having to wait
  12. I'll try and d/l over the weekend on the missus' laptop and give feedback then
  13. Just found the perfect Macbook, 2ghz, 1gb ram, 80gb HDD for the £350 buy it now price. It was that low because there was a small chip in the plastic which was pictured and nothing to worry about. Made the mistake of phoning the missus to talk about getting it and her maybe helping out a little more with bills this month and during that time someone else snapped it up. f**k! Bollocks.
  14. Chances are you're right, and I don't have enough money to be risking it! haha. I'll have to find a bargain one that works :S
  15. I think you're overestimating the average student/computer owner there, as I know more people who would rather offload and upgrade than try to fix something which is not covered by warranty, than I know people who would give it a go themselves. Plus, I posted the whole listing and it makes no mention of trying to fix anything apart from looking for the devices - I would presume someone would put this information down if they had tried anything else. Appreciate the reply anyway, thanks. Obviously just going through the possible fixes before spending the extra money..
  16. Yea, thanks for clarifying that simple point... Again going down the "I need a bargain, will this be as easy as I think to fix?" route: sounds like a reinstall to me? is there any other reason both of these components would have gone. I'm not normally this much of a tight git, but I wasn't planning on being burgled so I didnt save for this purchase..
  17. Just a thought, because I knew Macs are built a hell of a lot better than PCs and maybe they were more resilient then the sellers thought? Obviously I know thats not the case now, cheers.
  18. Hi Guys, I'm looking for a 2nd hand MacBook (i know the new ones are coming out but I'm budgetting about £350/400 max so it doesnt make a difference). The only main specs that are must haves are 1gb+ Ram and Wireless built in. I dont mind the 1.8ghz processors, so that should help find a cheap one. I'm obviously trawling ebay, but does anyone know anywhere else I should look? Also, when someone says they spilt water on their macbook, how likely is it that it could be fixed? There are some mega cheap ones going about and if they only need taking apart and drying properly then i'm happy to do that...

    Erm, F**k?

£25.50 till tomorrow... Say £50 with P&P. Easy!
  21. Yea, it's true, and I can see where you're coming from. But it's not really a mainstream career... We all knew who Pavarotti was and yet I didn't hear him on Radio1 much...

    Erm, F**k?

Buy one and sue them for false advertising? I'm sure we can get a TF pot together to buy one and collectively sue their asses for millions, or have a working vehicle running on water...
  23. No.1 Album, Weekly Sales record, possible movie deal, worldwide tours... I'd call that a career. I hear people saying that he'll have to do the same thing over and over again as there's only so much scope in opera, but I'd rather do that every day than sell advertising space...
  24. i know that feeling! Otherwise you just end up tweaking and tweaking and tweaking forever. Need to send PRs album back for a remix now that we've had it a few months I think... you sort of realise some different things you could do. Loving the track by the way, some good potential.

    Cd Splitter

Always been a fan of Audacity, you have to rip the CD into mp3/wav/whatever format first though.
