That is absoltuely fine, its meant to have a yellowy tinge to it... its bruised tissue. I landed an almost 7 foot gap to pedal/sin combo and i know it hurts it wasn't as big as yours mind. i've also landed a small drit jump on my shin on a bmx when my foot came off mid air i tried to stay on the bike and the nearest thing to the pedal was my shin so on it went, with shorts.... i had to pull a chunk of flesh off the pedal. That was fun. Another weird one is managing to land and get a peddle to gree tmy shin well and make a perfect pin sized hole into my leg through a pair of jeans. It was a mega deep hole and its scarred as a hole as well now, gotta love the riders shins.

He's been riding for two years, he can already do backhops and i would imagine can gap quite well. I'm also at this point of riding and have been trying a few front hops, with this help i'll see what i can muster up.

Loughborough Possibility?

The big gap round the back between the two blue walls. Quite near that little pond/lake in the uni. -
Nope mines still doing it... i might just change this picture because people might start to think its me.

Oh my god, That last bit was hilarious... he looked mega gutted that he didn't make it though. I think my method for that would be pedal like a b*****d and smash them out the way... but thats only because i know a top level rider can't balance and move them so theres no chance i would be able to. good find.

Loughborough Possibility?
Krisboats replied to Josh Greenan!!!!!!!!!!'s topic in Member Organised Rides
Well if everyone else is going i'm not going to be stuck here on my own. i have a very big gap to do this week. but i've got the feeling i'm gonna make it as though it was a 2 foot curb gap. -
Here we go, nothing special just a little video of me and ben playing on a crate course we made in the dark at some factories. I managed to make that big gap at the end of the video when we made it 8 feet, but couldn't make it when we made it 8 foot 3 inches. It was a very fun night though. EDIT: I forgot the video link :$ Left Click

ODI Longnecks for me. They're just so nice that i can't bring myself to try anything else and they last for absolutely ages as well. I've got a pair of those lizard skin lock on grips on my jump bike and they are very fat i would never use them on a trials bike. I've also had the ODI Ruffians and they were terrible grips. They were the fastest wearing grips i've ever had and before they'd completely worn down they became sticky and left black gunk on everything... they were so sticky you could push the palm of you hand onto them and lift the front wheel without holding onto the bars.

Or get some decent shoes, like the trials specific shoes or if you want multi purpose shoes that yuo can wear out and about get some flat soled shoes like skate shoes, trainers have treads designed to grip the floor whilst running, which makes them quite useless for gripping pedals. If you have to be chavified i think adidas made some skate shoes so you could have your rudeboy shoes but they'd be good for biking in as well.

I'm pretty sure that bike has verticle dropouts, so he wouldn't be able to move it backwards. That recess is where his mech hanger used to be. I think he's just been very lucky with his chain tension.

Isn't cockpit size the distance between the seat and the bars? The frame has no seat... therefore, no cockpit size, only a toptube length. The 1065 measurement is with a 400mm length fork that has a 45mm rake and a headset which has a 10mm high lower bearing cup. The urbans are 400mm forks and although i can't find an exact measurement on rake they do look like they aren't far off 45mm. So i don't think they've mis-measured their frame. The thing i can't beleive is how you think an extra 1.5 cm is going to make it impossible to bunnyhop a wheelbase of 1080 is easily bunnyhoppable so i'm pretty sure you'll be fine with it, and besides, it has short chainstays so it'll be easier to pull up.

Wind your tpa out and switch your pads around, put the left pad in the right and the right in the left, but keep them facing the same way. Worked for me.

cool, i will have to keep an eye out for it then. Good that your wrists getting better though .

www.darkproject.com It has more sort of futuristic and computer based artwork but it does make for some very impressive backgrounds on the pc. P.S. Look in the wallpaper area of the artwork section to find them.

Editing my writing under my avatar in the "edit profile informatoin" part of the personal profile returns the message All the other fields are the same i only tried to change it from saying "pump up the bass!" to "Mr Andy Hill" to accompany the hilarious picture of andy i found from his collection of climbing pictures.

I would always say non sprung tensioner over a sprung one anyday, its the feel of the drivetrain that i like. I hadn't noticed it at all before i had my freshproducts tensioner but as soon as i put it on the bike the chain and chainline felt much sharper and responsive. i can now feel the difference everytime i go on someone's bike and they're running a rear mech or mr control style tensioner.

I hadn't actually realised tjhey were bmp's i'll have rtun through them and change them all

Is it the cylinder in the lever you're on about? if so you can just pull them out by grabbing the edge of it with a pair of pliers, You should just see the whole that the cylinder slides down with a spring inside the push the cylinder back out and two holes at the bottom. Just pull it out and give it a clean and see if that helps. Maybe have a look at the spring as well to see if that's corroded or mishapen

I don't meen this too sound harsh so don't take it the wrong way but that video didn't really do anything for me at all. It wasn't amazingly interesting at all, though i did appreciate the difficulty of riding those wet rocks.. nice one. It was just a bit too much like, sidehop front wheel move sidehop sidehop. Mind you i am a fussy b*****d.

Link no work, and theres no folder on the tv.isg.si site called gears anymore.
-
I've gone single speed and its great. I was very reluctant at first because of riding to different places but to be honest i didn't miss my gears one bit. My drivetrain also feels very solid now due to my tensioner (freshproducts tensioner) not having any springs in it. I really don't like the feel a mech transmits through the chain and crank... its too flexy for me. Give it a go, with all these on one products just released you can get a decent tensioner and single speed cog for around £20 not like the near £45 i spent.

90mm X 15degree Rise Stems For Oversized Bars Aka Onza
Krisboats replied to mat hudson's topic in Trials Chat
Ermm it IS 90mm long with 15 degree rise... just not oversized like the onza bars Have you seen the hope stems 90mm x 10 deg its not quite the same but could be close enough. Link Salsa make a 90mm 15 deg oversized stem... but its not for oversized bars Link An answer stem again 10 degress not 15 but oversized clamp looks burley too. Link -
Ha ha nice one ben. I was wondering what it looked like when you told me you'd done it. Looks ermmm.... very nice. :$ Now you're bike looks as fun as it rides! I'll just pretend i don't know you when you're on that I love the way so many people are like "oh my god, you're an idiot why do that?" People are too f**king serious.
