Right I bought a front disc off ebay a little while ago (160mm 2005 magura louise, around september) and when i got it it was really powerful and i was completely in love with it. But then it started to fade and lose power after i spilt some stuff on it and now it struggles to lock up when i clamp it really hard with just two fingers. I have tried buying ebc reds for it but they never really seemed to get much bite and now they just slip like the old standard pads did. Also sometimes the lever feels very squidgy but if i pump the lever a couple of times or elevate the lever and pump it about 3 times it seems to firm up and feel like it did when i first got it. I have recently ordered a new 180mm rotor and should have the adapter for it coming today in the post. What i need to know is what should i do to prepare the rotor for use? Should i wipe it with anything as it has a couple of finger marks no it. I've figured it must be something wrong with the rotor seeing as ebc reds are supposed to be brilliant pads so i'm going to be using these pads on my new rotor, so is there anything i need to do to prepare those for use on a clean rotor or will they be fine as they are? other info that might help: I'm using it on a stock bike that hasn't had the mounts faced on onza fly guy forks, and i don't have a bleed kit because ben and conner broke it! cheers for reading

Chavs are so pack your whinging! anyway back to the topic... i would have some logs aranged in different piles and pinned together, unless they were big fat logs that don't move. Railway sleepers interwoven with arge holes inbetween them (i've done that before with some that i found and it was so good, lasted a weekbefore it was took down as well) Some tyres like the ones in loughborough. And a nice little shaded area for when its really sunny so i can have hot girls in bakini's getting me lots of ice cold drinks. And a stero player to blast out some tunes. that should do me, though i wouldn't like a free python frame... unless i could sell it on ebay and buy some rails or concrete blocks. p.s. NO MORE CHAV RUBBISH, GO BITCH ON MSN!!!

yes you can, because they are re-encoded into a different format for the dvd anyway so its not a big problem if there not all the same... I've made several dvd's of different file types that i've downloaded off the net to make an hour and a half long trials dvd although i've never tried a .mov file downloading it now, only getting 80.1kb/s though so its gonna take like another hour. i'm on 17% though so not too long to wait.

I clicked it! didn't have anything nasty come at me either. My super PC fought off the evil crap! Anyways i love that pic of bucky doing that massive gap, is he riding a base there? if so it's given me a lot of confidence in my frame!

Now i don't know what your budget is but i reckon that should give you some idea of what you should be focussing on, I don't think you have to go that high with the graphics card spec something like a £28 geforce fx 5900 xt should do the job for you, or any other pci express card. I also don't know whether or not the case would appeal to you with it being smaller than normal. I'm also guessing you don't want to spend £319 on a screen. both places you could cut back costs. I hope it helps (and you realise how long it took to copy all that out the magazine )

Theres actually a person thats written into a magazine i bought today asking for the same thing.. if you give me a few minutes i'll type out what they said for you

I bought my onza hognesiums at the bike show earlier this year and they are still going strong, i have lost 1 pin out my left pedal and 2 out my right one though. But i do land quite heavy some times on my pedals and have completely obliterated a pair of dmr v8's. however they aren't cheap pedals at £30 bike show price or £35 evrywhere else, but i am very pleased with them.

I work for my dad at the minute doin working on a printing press machine but i will soon be signing on the dotted line for the ownership of the business, so i'll get double what i'm getting now. I really cannot wait!

sorry, i didn't see that. in fact i only just found this thread again. Right you have steam and do you have a working copy of either half life 2 or half life deatmatch in your list of games on steam. If you have you need to unzip all the files from the folder. send them somwhere nice and easy to find like the desktop. They'll all be unzipped into a folder called "goldeneye" You need to open up your storage area and find where you installed steam then go to the following directory inside those folders. something like: d:\\program files\steam\steamapps\sourcemods basically open the source mods folder and drag the goldeneye folder from your desktop into your sourcemods folder, restart your steam application and re-open it and you should have the goldeneye game in your list of installed games. if this isn't clear enough here you go a full step by step instruction manual

yes you can try one of those online virus scans, they might be able to find it for you. But you would most likely have to turn off your system restore before you do it just so there's no chance of it coming back. I don't know if they can remove them either. Then get yourself some firewall software like norton firewall or even the microsoft one. Then some antivirus software. and i would truly recommend norton goback, it has saved my computer numerous times.

claud butler make shogun bikes, its like echo and zoo. same company. but yeah the gatecrasher is a tough frame, but it will not be of any help to you for backhopping as it has such low chainstays and a negative bb rise. Believe everyone when we say that the t-raptor will snap, theres a kid in syston (where i live) who has one and he can't bunnyhop any higher than about 4 bricks but his went snap right behind his bottom bracket on the right hand chainstay. i wouldn't even say he's a heavy rider either. for some reason he turned into the stereotypical chav and only uses it for doing wheelies now, in between having fights with other chavs.

Thats exactly how i feel, even a two minute natural vid will more often than not bore me shitless. However i love riding on rocks and logs and things so much more. I don't mind watching other people ride on rocks though, as in if i'm physically right next to them. Natural vids just don't cut it for me. I really like riding street as well though, and i ride street a lot more than anything else. I reckon another thing that helps people progress is this forum as well, despite the fact it's been overlooked by everyone who's replied so far. Everybody has somewhere they can ask other people who know what they're talking about (most of the time anyway) for help. It is also a great way to show off pictures of yourslef riding to people who are interested and again it brings out a competitive edge with everyone. Theres also the video "leagues" as i like to call them. Theres always the new people who first start riding and see all the videos of other people goin huge, they think "i know i'll make a video of myself" but people often slate these vids (first level of the video league). Then after they've been slated they keep riding more and more and produce another video when their skils ahve increased a lot since they first got slated (second level of video league). Then theres always the top riders (third level) who keep pushing the second level riders to make better videos and it goes round in a giant circle of everyone wanting to improve. and we have trains that go to pretty much everywhere so it is easy for us to decide to meet up and ride, and the u.k. isn't very big either so it doesn't take as long as it would do in other countries.

Yeah i agree, don't give up trials because your bike isn't working like you want it to.. sounds like a case of the sulks to me. I know of plenty of people who have helicoiled a frame before and have had absolutley no problems whatsoever, my grandad did a helicoil on my bmx because i didn't know the lugs screwed out and that was fine. But if you work in an engineering company and use helicoils like you say, you should know that. I don't know if they will give you a new frame on warranty because it is your own fault for using bolts that are too long and then tightening them up so they go into your frame. I would suggest that first off you ring select bikes, see what they say about it. You may end up having to ring echo though and send the frame back to them. I'm not saying for sure but i would imagine they might be inclined to either replace it or offer you another at a discount price. But if they won't replace it or ask you to pay more for another discounted frame i would imagine that you would be able to sell it on here to someone who is competant enough to helicoil it properly, and seeing as its only a couple of weeks old i would imagine that you would get more for it than a discounted frame.

I also started on a shogun gatecrasher and that frame was so bad for trials. As soon as i got my base frame i was riding better straight away. Go for a trials specific frame, it will make a load of difference. Once kitted out though the shogun is really quite a nice jump bike, well thats what mines used for now. The only thing i would suggest is try to go for a longer lasting frame to start off with. Have a look in the for sale/wanted section theres usually a second hand base ta26 goin for around £100 in there or you could go for something like a t-rex which should be around the same price. The only reason i say this is because for a little more than £60 you can get a frame that will last a hell of a lot longer.

I have seen pretty much every single one of those clips before on a disc that my mate bought off ebay for £2, it wasn't just this kind of stuff.. theres a load of videos of animals hurting themselves as well (most clips from you've been framed so they aren't nasty, just mostly cats running into walls or highly polished windows) Thos two peopl falling down the cliff though at 3:14, at the bottom their necks are definately broken, that disturbed me most of all i think. but the guy that gets arrested at 3:00, what the f**k is the cop thinking? hmmm hit him once, twice for good measure.. i know i'll run out and pin him to the floor just to make sure all his ribs are really broken. and at the end, thats just the perfect video clip to advise people about the dangers of clipless pedals (i don't actually think he was using clipless pedals but got his foot caught instead)

I'm always up for a bit of a game on counter strike source. I really do think its much better than 1.6 but i am more of a graphics man myself. If you have any server spying programs or buddies things like xfire www.xfire.com then my user name is krisboats, same as always. Or if your using a searchy thing a load of us put FBM into our names somewhere so we could be found easily. or add me to msn if u want: krisboats@hotmail.com I'm quite often in these servers as well (well basically if i'm playing i'm in here) 83.142.49.10:27025 bad attitude jeffrey, the people on here are usually quite sound and not little kids which is always nice. 84.12.89.4:27015 assualt spawnpoint, my favourite level available all the time, without the silly team change autorunny thing.

yeah there are a couple of different things that still need altering, and i think the power of the shotgun may be one of them, plus the crazy health thing needs bringing back (the glowing blue and red lines either side of the screen) it is definately good fun to run around the facility level in a massive multiplayer though.

it's as the title says, goldeneye remade by a group of guys who wanted to make goldeneye look nicer. It uses the source engine and this means a copy of half life 2 or half life 2:deathmatch are needed to run it. It's still not quite the same as the n64 game and it isn't by any means fully finished yet but there is a playable mod available now and i have to say it is very VERY good. All the levels are the same and they feel about the same atmosphere and everything. the site is www.goldeneyesource.com

The only problem that i can see is that the $100-120 price tag per rim may put off a lot of people, because it would be so much cheaper to go to B&Q and buy a cheap grinder. If the cost could be lowered i reckon that there would be loads more people interested in it, me included!

I really didn't think xbox live was that good at all. And yes i did try different games on it. I played halo 2, unreal championship, need for speed underground 2 and rainbow six 3. The thing i found was that there is a LOT less players than there are with pc games. Theres still people playing in servers for command and conquer renegade on the pc and thats an ancient game. Plus the people who are playing on xbox live are mainly little kids which gets really irritating, when you finally do find a person whos older on there they're usually quite stuck up. I'm not saying that all are but if i asked anybody to let me know how to do something they usually told me to f**k off , which isn't too great. Needless to say my time on xbox live finished at the same time the two month free trial expired. Anyway to the xbox 360, I have played one and the menu's and everything seemed great and the controllers are easy to hold and use etc. but i was put off slightly by the irratic behaviour the console was having... when me and my mate were playing king kong, it was quite common for king kong to turn into a giant blue shape.. along with trees and any other item in the game the console thought it should jazz up. The guys in choices (the video shop, where we were playing on it) said that it was the third model they'd had because the first got too hot and refused to work anymore, and the second kept killing the discs so they were no longer useable. These are most likely errors they can fix but i'm not in any rush to buy an xbox 360 until the majority of the problems have been sorted out. The graphics for the xbox 360 are much better than the ps2, if you can find a video shop or virgin store etc. near you that has a demo console for you to try have a go on project gotham 3. The graphics in this game are much better than anything i've seen on the ps2 ever! I think i'm also right in saying the xbox 360 has full screen anti-aliasing as well which i don't think the ps2 has. This means that all the grainy/blocky edges round things are smoothed off to make them look more realistic. The xbox 360 has a coouple of usb ports on it, so there should definately be some room for a mouse and keyboard being used but as of yet there isn't one available so you won't be able to use it with call of duty, unless someone makes a patch or something so that you can use a pc keyboard and mouse in it. I think one of the features for the 360 is that theres the online marketplace where people can swap and download different features and extras for their games, so there could well be a keyboard/mouse patch turn up on there at some point. I think one of the best cool features of it is the wireless controller with the menu button on it. As far as i can make out this allows you to grab the controller and switch the xbox on without having to walk across the room to go turn it on. THE ULTIMATE LAZY DEVICE! As for where to get one.. they're starting to be shipped to the stores again now so you should see a lot more places with them for sale now. The virgin megastores near me got 24 of them in on the 23rd of december and have been told there getting another delivery some point next week. As for being worth the money, well that depends on what you want for your money. It seems to be a console that you can play good games on and that has a lot of upgradeability/customisation potential. But i would say that the £209.99 core version isn't worth the money when you get so much more with th £279.99 premium pack. sorry for such a long post but i hope it helped . (plus if someone see's something in here that isn't true can you let the guy know as i probably won't find this thread again )

done that, any more ideas?

Face it, it wasn't a joke. You were trying to be cool with all the other people that had said things like "vin diesel will save the day"...

no difference to mine, it was fast as fook anyway though so i'm probably not going to see a difference.. Now if anybody has any tips for speeding up my cousins slow pc thats about 2-3 years old it would help a lot more, and nothing simple like de-fragging it or using msconfig or deleting files in the prefetch or deleting cookies/adware/spyware... it would be greatly appreciated.

I did mine the other day because i was having the same problems as you. I pulled it all apart and got a tissue to wipe off the majority of grease from inside then sprayed some wd 40 onto a toothbrush and ran that around the ratchet and the springs so that everything was all nice and clean. I got a clean tissue and dabbed at the ratchet inside with it to remove any large damp areas of wd-40 that came off the toothbrush and then dropped a dab of 3 in one oil inside it. I then placed the pawls back together with a little bit of grease on the hinge bit of each pawl, i mean a little bit! The hold all the pawls in place and pushed the freehub body with all pawls and springs present back into the hub, make sure you spin the freehub ever so slightly in an anti clockwise direction to avoid the pawls sticking out and tearing the little seal around the edge of the ratchet. Hasn't skipped since and clicks much more loudly when its coasting now as well. hope it helps dude

How can you expect people to take this seriously if you come out with useless things like that? I think its a bunch of bullshit anyway... They just come out with this crap, theres nobody sitting there waiting for a hundred million years to throw another asteroid at us, they talk like its a gauranteed thing like sunrise/sunset. Plus with the amount of shit the u.s. is doing on other things like building spaceships and other means of propulsion, do you not think there is going to be a department somewhere that is already thinking of possible ways to stop asteroid collisions and invasions from hostile alien attacks? we're all gonna die anyway so who cares if the asteroids gonna hit us, all the more reason to do everything you want to do whenever you get the chance to do it.
