I thought yours was a nice brick construction and far more full of stuff I'm back soon so if you need help with the engine swap then give me a shout...I also have an engine crane and load leveller which I guess may be useful Hopefully going to look at a 318i SE E36 Touring today, it has quite high mileage but looks pretty immaculate other than that and has a good service history. I just need a cheap but reliable car that will get me about until I can find a job and afford something a bit tartier. I also have a heap of spares left from my old E36. This also gives me time to sort out the T25 as I fear that I will rush it if i'm desperate for transport EDIT: Or not, sold before I got a chance to even go and look at it

George, have you moved house or is that garage somewhere else?
-
So what makes a paddle clutch better than a regular one for more power?
-
Cheers Adam, I'll see if there was a recall for these Should VAG Com be able to pick up on faulty coil packs? Just collected some panels for the Doka, well excited to get started on it!
-
Let me know how that intense goes, I had been wondering about getting a pair the other day!
-
Just scored £200 of new panels for the T25 for £80 Just the rear aches to get now and I have all I need to sort the outside out. Got some BMW E36/ Saab 9000 seats to go in upfront, a steel sofa bed to cut down to fit in the back (rock and roll style) and some left over tubing from a roll cage to make a rear bar like on this: Now to find something like some Weller steels for it

Do you have drop box George? or any other way of sharing it?
-
Nah it happens every time once the car is warm, not sure if heat gives any clues at all?

Yeah this is petrol, never experience the lumping with a diesel personally! Torque was great with my Saab, however I know its not exactly the best tool for the job. I need a copy of VAG Com if anybody could PM me with details as to how to obtain it for free I have the usb cable and coms thingy, just not the software. On a side note, I literally cannot wait to get started on putting my T25 Doka on the road when I get back home! Being car-less and needing a truck for the summer as i'm doing a load of building work for my parents, this is the perfect excuse to get it road worthy. The outside is tatty (thats putting it nicely) and needs £150-£300 of panels (depending on how many I make myself, and I already have a few ready), underneath was fine last year when I checked (its in dry storage so I cant imagine it'll have changed at all) and I have fresh brake parts sitting ready for it so that it stops nicely. Plan is to do the minimal effort to make it road worthy (and of course safe) then sort out the less important parts as I go along. I have so many ideas for this thing, best £80 I ever spent haha

I am currently borrowing a 56 plate MK5 golf 1.6 Match and apart from being one of the dullest cars in the world to drive it also has an issue I would like some advice on. Whilst idling (once it is warm) the car does an occasional shake/judder as if the engine is misfiring occasionally. This issue has no noticeable pattern, and only causes a slight judder but enough to be highly irritating. My Bluetooth scanner thing using Torque shows no fault codes. My initial thoughts have been a spark plug/coil pack issue causing a misfire, or a fuel starvation issue? Not really sure what to start with on modern petrol's, they aren't my kind of thing. The car shows no signs of issues once you start moving, apart from being pretty slow although that's just down to being totally under powered Any help would be greatly appreciated

Those Charge seats are soooooo good! Excellent value for money. Bike looks tidy

Beeswax would be fine, I use it loads for releasing vacuum forming moulds.

I got a Trance X5 frame for £130, the standard builds go for around £350-450. Freaking ace for the money, really like mine!
-
Don't go for parrallel push, they aren't any better and always rattle and create loads of noise. I have XTs F+R on my Pashley and they aren't as nice as the SD7 on my 24. Personally after running several different brakes I would run only Deore, SD7 or Ultimates if I had a choice (Only using XTs currently as they were free haha)

I started on mine today, the tyre is tight fitting yet there is air escaping near the valve when quickly trying it with a hand pump. I'm assuming it's just cos it needs a bloody good blast of air to pop it all outwards?
-
Can mine get the prettiest bodge frame award? Homemade from the tubes of scrap bikes in one evening with no jig...hence the weird seatube angle
-
The grill is missing some clips, easily sorted with glue Think I will give it a miss though, i'd rather shove that £550 into getting my T25 Doka on the road instead, at least that will actually be worth something

Dads friend has a Ford Mondeo 2004 130PS 2L diesel 100k miles for sale for £250. Tax for 6 weeks, no MOT. Crack in drivers side lower part of the screen, likely to need replacement. Rear pads and discs need replacing. Thats it as far as I can tell for MOT, car feels tight to drive and runs well. Interior is a little mucky but easily cleaned, just muddy rather than stained. Exterior is tatty but could look presentable with a jolly good clean up, several marks and dents, bonnet is heavily dented and would ideally need to be replaced but it functions. Worked out that with parts, MOT and tax it will set me back £550 in total. [url=http://s189.photobucket.com/user/pauloliver_photos/media/P5260063_zps84d9c96d.jpg.html][/ URL] What do you guys think?

Cheers for your help! I'll make a ghetto bottle inflator thing and hope for the best! My tyres are already very tight to fit (the rim tape i have is same sort of thickness as a tube) so I should have reasonable luck with getting the bead sealed. Any idea what kinds of chain shops sell liquid latex? I'm assuming art shops will sell it but haven't really noticed any in Nottingham...

Just found some new Schwalbe 20" BMX tubes (the threaded valve body ones) so I shall order some Stans sealant and give it a go this week. I only have standard wire bead Rubber Queens currently but they have been good enough on the trails so far and I cant really afford to be spending serious money on new tyres. Will I get away with using one of those 12V car air compressors or will I be needing to wait and use my proper one at home?
-
Yip I can do that
-
I can't decide whether to try tubeless or not, is it really worth the hassle? I rarely ever get a puncture and I hear stories of the tyres burping air on corners sometimes? Seems nearly as irritating...
-
I'm about this week if theres a ride
-
Do they actually work? I have never used them before
-
Haha yeah, as annoyingly unreliable and expensive as it has been, I really have loved owning it. Everything just felt so right when driving it and I think they are one of the best looking saloons of their time. RIP
