  1. ISIS bbs have an axle built into them and are for ISIS only cranks (Shimano use a different, but very similar interface). Saints use an external BB system and the axle is built into the driveside crank arm. What cranks do you have?
  2. I pretty much only use it for a group thing where I can keep up to date with the trainee teachers on my course, more of a tool/support/bitching network thing than anything I guess. Unfortunately FB and forums take up way too much of my free time, it's very sad
  3. You would need to be running the same tyres as well to do a fair test
  4. I paid £70 posted for a set of new discs and pads F+R 2 years ago to replace my genuine stuff. They work incredibly well, even when the brakes are cool which is quite often seeing as they are for a road car. If your brakes are getting that hot driving on the road then your calipers are seized or you are driving like a really irresponsible mong and shouldn't be on the road.
  5. I take it there aren't any decent budget options? I may just build my own, I have access to a laser cutter at school although i'm not entirely sure what materials it'll happily cut other than acrylic and card
  6. It was me and you are a week too late
  7. Don't they cut out the middle man by importing directly from the factory? I have had no issues with Superstar parts (disc pads, QRs, ss kit, ss tensioner, lock on grips, nano pedals and some other little bits) so far and they seem to get pretty bummed up by the douches on Bikeradar who tend to be absolute part whores. The only negatives I hear are poor quality hub bearings, occasional bent discs, shady wheelbuilding skills and less than impressive customer service when it comes to hubs, never heard anything bad about their other stuff though
  8. It's going to be injected with awesomeness
  9. Run a short travel suspension fork and you would have more fun
  10. Apart from getting some sort of fleet insurance (which I seem to remember you need to have at least 5 cars for?) then no I don't think there are. Admiral do that multicar policy with 10% discount, might be worth a shot!
  11. That is a little bit stunning, good find! Fingers crossed insurance won't be too much of a sting
  12. Cheers for your help everybody! Running 2 hardrives sounds well handy! And by having my CD drive as an external drive it means my girlfriend can nab it too (she has the new Macbook with no CD drive). Cheers for the links! Laptops been running really nicely since updating, I now have Fusion running Windows 7 Ultimate so I can use some education software that's Windows only as well as running XP mode so I can run my Car disagnostics stuff as it's not 7 compatible...XP inside Windows 7 inside Mountain Lion, poor computer! It's coping pretty well in all fairness to it. Battery life has improved quite alot since full charge/discharge, I get about 3.5-4 hours depending on what I am doing which is acceptable. Also just got a VGA adaptor and a HDMI adaptor so I can run it into a projector/TV, just need some money so I can order the ram and SSD
  13. That bike looks so much fun! I'm looking at going single ring upfront since going to 11-34T out back. Which device is that? I have a Stinger and found a DMR top guide which I guess i could try out Crap photo but I have a new Charge Spoon seat, Cree T6 light and Sunline 60mm stem since last time, just feels better and better! Jut wish I had more free time to ride it
  14. Before and after pics are always good. I need to find my clay bar, I started doing my car and then got bored... I tried some of that cheap Demon Shine stuff the other day, it made my car look significantly better with virtually no effort...WINNER!
  15. Whats with people giving you money to mod their cars recently? Did you sort the lights on that Vectra you were modding?
  16. In something like that a log burner may be more appropriate
  17. Does look rather good, very tasteful. Skoze you would be insane to get rid of Bernard, it looks the bomb!
  18. Get a multimeter on it and check for corroded connections
  19. Thanks for everybody's help. I installed Mountain Lion and the difference is huge, it's so much faster than before! This was on top of a clean install already if that makes sense. My processor is often at 90% free with occasional dips to 70%. I am going to order some more ram soon though as the computer appears to be eating it up and many people recommend it, and then once my student loan comes through I will order an SSD (or maybe just wait and order both together...) I will get the 8GB ram and 256GB SSD from Crucial unless anybody can recommend better for a similar price? I did wonder about going 16GB ram but I fear its a bit extravagant for a computer that only does net, basic Photoshopping and word processing... Ram: http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=668A5C6BA5CA7304 SSD with transfer cable: http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=ECC1BE18A5CA7304
  20. I'd be changing those tyres right away... Car looks good though!
  21. My arb bushes always groan on a cold day, it's very irritating!
  22. How does that shift light thing know when it's time to shift?
