  1. rough riders - i had an A-team van nobody else is going to remember them though
  2. I hate posts like this so apologies in advance..... Currently my t-poo has standard bars n stem & some t-mag forks. There's nothing wrong with any of them but I'm feeling the urge to spend money and it's either bike bits or drugs. sooo - forks ? why are the zoo ones 20quid cheaper than the echo and Gu ones? is it worth spending the extra 30-40 quid for the fancy CNC bits over getting echo easys ? stem - ill get a t-master bars - I'm torn between echo toughs and zoo risers, im getting slightly stiff wrists on my current setup - would getting the risers reduce it ? ta
  3. cockpit is one word sorry. . - the image that conjured up in my mind will stay with me forever. . in an effort to post on topic... my T-poo is nice - not too long (unlike python), not too short (unlike monty), not all that heavy, doesn't appear to break all that easily (so far), and most importantly - not silver
  4. the clue is in the error message. I've known several disks to start doing the clicky/snappy noise, sometimes data was recoverable, others it wasn't. Try not to turn it on and off too often as you could be causing damage that will prevent you salvaging data later on. dont let dell palm you off with reformatting the disk - you definitely want a nice new replacement one - preferably bigger and faster
  5. I'd say stick with mod but only cos i like mods. don't be afraid to phone and ask a shop for a custom build if you want different components - i got a t-pro with t-mag front end for not too much extra.
  6. you probably want to avoid the echo then erm. i haven't broken my hog yet - then again im a pussy and i dont ride off high things
  7. grub screws from the hardware shop cost about 4p each . ive got 3/4 inch ones in mine which is a bit dangerous. like everyone says though - the threads get knackered after a few knocks.
  8. yep - think so. looks fairly crispy to me yupyup more memory. bump it up to at least a gigabyte - it costs bugger all ill give you premiere if you help me move house

    Police Fines

well yeah - which is the more serious crime? anyway thats all OT and likely to start a fight ... Where does it say a mod isn't road legal ? - the only legal definitions I could find for a bicycle say that it's a vehicle with 2 wheels and pedals. Anything official I could quote to plod would be much appreciated cos riding mine on the road scares crap out of me.

    Faking It...

Nobody's going to give the slightest toss about your GCSE results if you're going for a similar job to the one you have now - they'll be a lot more interested in your actual work experience. In my line of work you're basically fooked unless you've got 2 years commercial experience. Having a first from cambridge might help but 10 As at GCSE won't put you ahead of somebody with 2 years experience and 5 Cs
  11. um, plazmatics - the lairy yellow ones allegedly as good as the zoos but not green and a quid cheaper off tarty. They work great on a smooth rim unless its wet . if it's wet, you'll fall off a lot

    Police Fines

They don't They have the same rights as everybody else - until they're convicted. If it didnt work like that then you wouldn't be innocent until proven guilty
  13. ^ An example to us all. I think the lamest thread ever award should go to my 'Yay! my eno arrived' thread. If anyone disagrees I'll be happy to meet up and have a fight about it
  14. wouldn't this work ? window.getElementByID(IFRAME NAME).navigate(cmd) should put it in the scope of the iframe rather than the parent window just a thought
  15. yeah - just whack a <div> in or use a table rightclick prevention is silly easy way round method 1 rightclick and hold button down prompt pops up (saying 'you cant do that') press space release right button menu pops up...
  16. sod it mate - I'd just load a new page
  17. oh right - its using mousedown code instead of a link righty. none of that will work then Are you sure you want to get into this ? the code that loads the page is in CascadeMenu.js - you need to point that function at the Iframe you need to add this to your IFrame tag <IFRAME ID="myIframe"> Somewhere along the line CSS behaviours are in use (judging by the custom menu attribute in the div)
  18. er- don't shoot me if im wrong - its been a couple of years <a href="whatever" target="IFRAMEID"> linky </a>
  19. yep - a target attribute in the link pointing at the IFrame ID will do it but ... Never use frames for laying a site out . because... A: they're evil. B: google doesn't like them & your site won't get searched properly unless you put a load of other stuff in the <noframes> tag in the frameset page (which is a pain in the arse to update later) I know it doesn't make you feel as clever (and it's a twat to make edits to the menu later on) but you really ought to be sticking to loading a whole new page everytime you hit a link from the menu. You stand a much better chance of the site being searched fully. You can minimise the effort involved in updating the menu by referencing your javascript from external files like this <script src="blah" >
  20. I like the mod - I've gone off the 05 team since I discovered you cant fit an egg in the headtube holes. Echo's site appears to have gone/moved anybody got any clues ?
  21. i slept through a fire alarm at university - one of those dirty great red bell ones, right outside my door it was. the best alarm is an angry, late for work girlfriend...
  22. is good just a couple o things though font - something a bit rougher like courier ? - with a filter so it looks typewritten maybe? i didn't have sound but i wasn't getting much sense of impact when people crashed/landed on stuff. maybe zoom in on the impact point a bit like they do when people crash in those police chase programs??
  23. I think you were recompressing compressed video there which is why it looked a bit ropey. You should always work from uncompressed footage (if you've got it). Come round and steal some better software - I've got loads...
  24. i think the only difference between the white industries tool and the standard ones is that the WI actually fits rather than rattling around between the tabs - should work ok
  25. I'm pretty sure sideways cycles sell the tool - not cheap though
