  1. Looks like the join has just come apart? If so, push it back together, rebuild, ride, simples. You also have no way of telling how that bike was treated in the few years before you bought it... It is a strange failure but it is a 3-4 year old rear trials rim after all!
  2. Oh I seeeee. Yeh, fine then.
  3. Can't quite work out what you mean... Any chance of a pic?
  4. Someone's been in touch with us about a stolen bike that looks to be this one... we've pointed him this way. Fingers crossed it can get resolved!
  5. Yeah, defo not worth hacking at the forks... When it's cheaper to buy a Pro2 than a new axle for your King that might be the solution...
  6. How much of a recess is there (depth) in the fork lowers? And what diameter is it? That is something I hadn't thought about, but might still be workable! Yeah, I noticed the UK importers were out of stock... Not. Helpful. Edit: MTB 'standards' being all over the place = hassle.
  7. Bugger. Take 5mm off each end of the axle while it's being done? (15mm is 100mm and 20mm is 110mm, right?) There's always a way
  8. Can you just squeeze some 20mm (and a bit) OD / 15mm (and a bit) ID sleeves into the current axle? We had the same request from a customer the other day and I nearly shat myself when I saw how much the conversion kit was... Don't mind firing up the lathe one evening if that helps.
  9. What exactly do you need?
  10. Taller tyres is a good shout IMO.
  11. Bit OTT for a No6 ph2 screw
  12. They will look like the one on the left on this photo (the completely ruined one): I've never tried the 'cutting a slot' method, does that actually work?
  13. Crying in a corner. I've been in the same situation
  14. Might have to bust out the drill... I don't think are (m)any MX-5s out there with intact headlight unit screws, haha.
  15. Went for a drive yesterday morning. Found some awesome roads. Icy patches in dips and in shaded areas made it interesting. Win.
  16. Haha, ace. There's something awesome about driving hideously unsuitable vehicles in such a manner... Still want a 1.3 K11 Micra to turn into a track day car, lol.
  17. As above, get a Shimano one if you can, cheaper the better.
  18. Yeah, if it's being used as a road car then OE roll centre is a good shout. But then again so are OE shocks IMO!
  19. Because racecar. Looks like a simpler way to do it, bump steer correction too Be very interesting to see what you think of the kit, there are pros and cons to such a low roll centre and I think people tend to bum the shit out of new stuff just because they paid for it and want it to work, haha. I reckon most of the difference people can feel is due to the bearings than the roll centre adjustment...
  20. Insurance premiums are mainly about how likely you are to hurt someone / something else, the amount of cover you get for your own death/injury is minimal.
  21. What's the deal with the roll centre kit? Does it move it up or down? Paste a link if that's easier! Edit: found one on pure motorsport. Looks nice, but I'd rather have a spare car for that money, wow! Does anyone do a wishbone inclination angle correction spacer (or similar) for the lower ball joint? You could also do the same thing by moving the top mounts outwards, and that would give better camber correction in roll too.
  22. Which forks exactly? There must be a user manual online somewhere...
  23. Infra-red lamp? For your fingers I mean, not shagging on the train.
