  1. The reason for that is the 'normal' UCI cranks come with a bashring included in the price Nick! My 2p: Echo: More colours, stiffer. Tensile: Lighter, replaceable pedal threads. Other than that, there's not much in it! Adam
  2. Simple solution: drop some chain lube where the springs contact the pawls - this will speed up the bedding in process, and lubricate that interface to allow the pawls to engage more quickly.
  3. All in due course . Those worrying that we've become less personal and more 'order churning' just needs to give us a call, you'll see we're still the same trials loving happy to help people really, cuddling fluffy bunnies and helping oap's cross the road! The new site not only makes things easier for customers but also gives us more time to help the people who need advice and assistance on the phone while people who know exactly what they want to buy can place their order in seconds online. We've gone for a function first, fancy bits second. Our initial aims was to get online ordering up and running and make the site navigable so that customers could browse easily and still benefit from added ease of ordering/payment. Team riders section, bike showcase section, media etc etc will be added once we're happy with the functional aspects. Don't write the site off just yet, it's an on-going project. Thanks for all your comments, criticisms and general feedback. It's definitely the sort of thing we need to make sure the site evolves to be the perfect blend of the old and new styles . Cheers Poobags! Dave

Cant wait to get mine tomorrow!!
  5. Bah... will do it next time I build a wheel then! It was actually harder to get it off without the wheel built - the extra flex means you can't push as hard... Edit: Oops, on Dave's account again...
  6. Very lucky indeed Kyle! Could have been so much worse . Nice gap though!
  7. Liking the vid Mr Dipper. Line at 3:50 is sweet! I have to say, I'm surprised at the lack of bike bashing as well! haha Need some actual bmx-ing in the next vid, bit os skatepark action .
  8. Just a quick one to wish Ben Travis (Adamant/tartybikes rider and generally super nice guy from Stonehaven) all the best. Just heard off Damon that Ben had a bit of a sideways gap-drop to a rail on the go and his tyre wasn't having it. Slipped down and landed on the rail fairly hard by the sounds of it. Wasn't a super harsh crash apparently, but it turns out he has ended up in hospital with internal bleeding of some sort or other! Fingers crossed it's nothing too serious and he'll be back to doing some beasty street moves in the near future! Hope it doesnt spoil your Christmas geez!
  9. Infinite chain tension adjustment. With teeth the adjustment of the tension in the chain is finite, i'e you can have 'x' tension or ''y' tensioner or 'z' tension, but if you want 'x.5' or y.5' you're a bit nadgered . Just where 'x.5' chain tension should/could be is more like 'z', a far higher tension than you want due to the 'high' point of the teeth being between one location dip and the next. There is the case that notched cams dont undo if the wheel isn't quite 100% tight, or if you hit them on something. But if the wheel is loose enough for the tensioner to be able to rotate then surely the wheel isn't as tight as it ought to be? Keep the wheel tight and un-toothed snails cannot move without being hit. If you do hit smooth cams then they rotate out the way, sweet, just loosen your wheel, twist the cam back to get desired tension and tighten it all back up. If you hit a toothed one the chances of it moving are greatly reduced as it's rotational movement is limited by the high-points on the notches. If the toothed cam cannot rotate it will have a significantly higher chance of just bending, which would be a bit of an arse . Blimey, technical little things these shelled slimey things!
  10. The bolts for Echo hubs won't fit profiles unfortunately, the thread pitches are too different. As for tensioners on a Team frame, most people I've spoken to (vast majority in fact) have opted for some snail cams of one type or other. These work spot-on and no compatability issues that I am aware of.
  11. Yep, same hanger, same as an Echo Pure one too
  12. Exactly what I thought it would be. Just the bottom wheel on your mech would have given next to no chain wrap. The second jockey wheel's increased the wrap by a lot, which has sorted it The KHE would work fine like that no doubt. Adam
  13. We never, ever, put stickers on frames, forks, or any other parts before they are sent out. Dave
  14. First night was a poor effort, but bloody entertaining all the same, the 2 sachets of sugar spread on the carpet was definitely the highlight for me! lol Second night, fair play, plenty of effort, if a bit lacking in organisation. We'll have you next time :$. Riding over the whole weekend was mind blowing! Day 2 inside was the best in my opinion, some truly insane riding, in both skills and balls! Cant wait for the long videos to start appearing, you'll all see how craaaaaaaazy some of the sections were then! haha
  15. If you saw Matt Staples ride London Cycle show after the comp on Friday you'd see how good streety riding can be on a 20", some proper crazy stylish moves. Wish I'd had my camera! (Y)
  16. They should all start appearing at the end of this week/start of next (Y).
  17. Or alternatively you could go and corrupt some poor innocent student girl eh tom?! :S
  18. Blimey geez, you got home quick! haha We'll get on the website case first thing in the morning so if it hasnt resolved itself already should be back to full speed asap. Seems fine for me at the moment though.
  19. *Danny's attempts to slow Slinger's progress for World UCI dominantion didn't go un-noticed* *Ben didn't quite get what he expected following Danny's request to 'go down on me'*
  20. Very tragic news whenever a sportsmam or woman is killed doing what they love. In a way it is thankful that the tragic incident happened while they were doing something they had such a passion for, rather than being caught up in some mindless terrorism or natural disaster. Equally though, it is sad to hear of someone paying such a price for something that in a perfect World would only bring the participant fun times and memories. My thoughts are with the Leeson family right now, very sorry to hear such news, but I hope they have the support and comfort of close friends and family. RIP.
  21. Pulled it 1st time, cleared the edge by well over a foot. Made it a bit bigger, still pulled it pretty easy first time! haha All caught on video as well, so watch this space :ermm:.
  22. Made it bigger, still pulled it first time, video camera was out again .
