I used to be a very heavy stoner, there were always 4 of us smoking an eigth (£20) a night for a couple of years, one had a serious panic attack whilst stoned and has never touched it since, one got diagnosed with schitzophrenia - and it's no fun at all, he's a different person now, and one who is doing really, really well in a band with 3 other mates who've also been toking for years... Make of that what you will. But as far as the link between cannabis and schitzophreia, depression and other such illnesses goes, I don't think for a second it actually causes these disorders, smoking weed is definitely a catalyst but you have to genetically predisposed to these conditions to suffer them from toking. As for my smoking, I kinda realised I was spending £40+ a week on weed I would mostly smoke by myself, just to feel 'normal', so I cut it right down to a treat basis. But you cannot beat, middle of summer, red hot day, sat under a shady tree, with a nice spliff and a few mates. So I don't ever intend to draw a line in the sand and say "no more." because it's just so enjoyable Weed has been tossed between class C and B for years, for people like me, the consiquences are no different now it's a class B. It won't make ant difference to any stoner at all.
