  1. Sounds familiar, fairly sure I read for an exam that £1k and up meant payments on account. I make a point of not being a tax expert though
  2. Nah, that sounds decent to me, Ali. £720 a year is worth every penny to know that you're covering your back, doing things right and taking advantage of all allowances you can ("loopholes" makes it sound like they're sketchy, they're entirely legal and there to be used!
  3. If you've just registered, you'll get your UTR through in 10 working days, so getting towards the end of the month but still a few days to complete your return online. HMRC are, despite what you'll hear a lot, much better these days than they've been previously, so you may recieve it sooner than the 10th day but best to assume the worst rather than relying on anything else!
  4. Holy shitballs that was cool! Ghostie bike-frontflip
  5. That bit was pretty good, but I reckon the best bit was when it ended.
  6. Strong effort from all involved. Took a couple of watches to take it all in due to the sheer volume of tech win. Cool trip What's your camera/editing setup these days, Mark?
  7. Looks excellent mate. Really nicely done
  8. Looks a much better angle - inlet sides seem far more parallel there
  9. Ooh nice tip - will have to try that Edit: The ATF/Acetone, that is
  10. Great stuff dude - love a good build where people just get stuck in and do it themselves - quality of the work looks decent too
  11. Can you hammer on the next size (down) of 6point socket, or is it all a bit of a mess? I'd be inclined to try some of those Irwin bolt extractors perhaps. The ones which look like this: They should at least get you a decent grip on things - if it still fails (ie. shears the head) then it might be time to rethink. Where are the bolts used/what's access like?
  12. It's good stuff in fairness - don't bother with the cheaper wannabes, go for the branded stuff
  13. It's good that John isn't particularly susceptible to dizziness. Fun video, but agree about the can-can/step-through thing being pretty naff.
  14. I remember Dan Fitzpatrick building one up and running it for a good stint of Bristol bashing. He was (well, presumably still is) reasonably small and smooth which would have helped, but he was happy to throw it around. I suspect the powder coating held it together more than most.
  15. A spinny spinner so you can focus on the weldy weldy not the turny turny
  16. Have you considered battering the rest of the van to match? Quicker, cheaper, and easier than a repair on the door and would fit in with your "doesn't get much care" approach
  17. If the weight of an extra few mm of post is a concern over reliability, the Console is not for you. Honestly, it's negligible so you may as well just leave it if it's around that length at the mo
  18. Wild idea: perhaps you could cut it down, but keep it over 100mm in length. Or would that be too obvious?
  19. @Rob Leech Don't think he frequents these parts too often, but that tag may have pinged him an email depending on his settings, or at least a notification.
