The car was facing the wall, and was in gear with the handbrake on. From the looks of the floor they jacked the back up and stick skids under the rear wheels. Im not going to ask for the car or anything, the less I have to do with them the better. Ive got my car back safely and its all I care about. If they do decide to contact me then they will get a raised middle finger, and I will take Brendans Approach. the only time im going back to that yard is for my revenge tactic. Revenge is a dish best served cold.

Thats bad to hear dude. And No one on hear has the right to have a go at you, everyone has moments in their car when they drive above the law, and push themsleves. Im not going to go into the rights and wrongs, the law is there for a reason and speeding is bad, but I dont know anyone who hasnt done it. And I know its more tempting late at night when the roads are empty, and as youve found out it goes wrong alot faster aswell. If this was me I would: Not tell my insurence. I would take it on the chin and pay for a new car out of pocket. If you make a claim, you have to wait 3 years before it comes off the record. Good luck being a 17yr old new driver with a crash on record. There is nothing Illegal about not informing your insurence, as no other vehicles or people were involved its only your own property that was destroyed. Now when you get a new car all you need to do is call your insurer and just ask to change the vehicle on your policy. Dont mention the crash at all, if they ask why just say your bought another car. If the Police were involved, what did they tell you? Did they say you would be reciving a report and would be fined, charged ect, or had to pay damages on the Post, or did they say you have to be more carefull in the future ect and as long as no ones hurt then get your car off the road and sort it out yourself? Either way, unless your police specificly asked for insurnece details to contact them you should be safe. If you do get a fine, or damage charge again, try and pay for it out of your pocket. It may cost alot at the time, but it will be cheaper and easier than 3 years of really high insurence payments, and possible refusal of insurance concidering your circumstances (age ect) the main thing you need to remeber is dont panic, dwel on how wrong it could have gone and dont worry. Focus on the fact no one was hurt, no one else was involved and take it as a leason. Now you know how not to take a roundabout. And dont listen to anyone on here who will talk down to you or have a go. People make mistakes, deal with it, its not thier situation to deal with or criticise. Just remember, a car is one of the most powerfull tool available to us right now. You have to take good control of it and dont f**k about.

Ive recntly moved to a new Flat with the Mrs. This Falt comes with a resident parking Bay underneath it, which is a great sheltered parking space for ym Capri. I came home from work last Saturday to find Gaurdian had Clamped the car. So I phoned them and explained I was a resident ect, and all I got was "dont care we not taking it off until you pay £120" SO in anger I hung up the Phone. I called a friend who came over that night with a 2ft Petrol disc cutter, we were going to cut it off. I thought its to late to be making such a noise, so Ill sleep on it, calm down on take it off the next day. But somewhere between 11pm Sat Night and 6am Sunday morning when i got up for work they had come and towed my capri away. And not nicely either, because the tow truck wouldny fit under the flats to get in the carpark, the strapped something under the car and dragged it out backwoods, damaging the concrete at the same time. By this time I was furious, so I went over there with my friends Dad, who is a Lawyer. He told them who he was, and said he wanted to know what was going on, all they wold say is "no" I want to know why it was towed - were not telling you I want to see the towing report - no I want to see you licence - no ect if we wanted to know anything we had to give them £250 and each time he asked why, they just said they cant tell him that. So we left and devised a plan. I was to go back the next day, and pay the new raised fee to include towing and storage charges and my friends dad would get it back using his Lawyer powers. I went there with a friend on the Monday afternoon, and when I got there I noticed may Capri sitting behind 2 massive gates in the impound. Except they had forgoten to shut these gates, so I thought F them, I got in my car and drove off. Another friend who is a car trafer has been keeping an eye on the HPI for me, and the car has still not been reported stolen which is great. The police wont get involved because its a civil matter and you cant steal your own property, and all Guardian can do is threaten me with legal action to claim some money, but I know where those letters are going to end up. Mr Bin. So those Pikey twats can now suffer as my car is free, and now locked away safley in my garage, at another location so they wont find it. If they do ever clamp it here again when I park it bellow, I wont hesitate to cut their clamp off and kindly pass it through the front window of their Shop.

It makes no difference what front hub you use with HS33s. Whoever told you a Chris king isnt compatable with them is a tool Like others have said, why spend that much on a CK front hub when Hope is perfectly good enough. Front hubs dont take much of a beating, you could ride on any disc hub you wanted, as long as its got a 6 bolt IS mount you can fit 90% of disc brakes.

Is there any difference between the Hope Pro 2 and the Pro 2 trials?

This man Knows how to party. My 3 best times are pretty much an exact ditto to what Simon Said. The best times riding have all been times with good friends. 2005 NASS - "MANNINGS SMILE" Never enjoyed the rides where you go out and theres 2 or 3 people trying way to hard, and getting way to stressed, and riding off and leaving people behind because they are simply having a laugh. I have to say the Funniest people to ride with are: Porter Nick Manning Fletch Hobbsie Jonny Jones Ill be back out this summer after a long boring injury break. So let the party begin soon.....

I think now is the time to buy myself a new rear hub. What Decent rear hubs are out these days? Im still running my 2002 Hope Mono Ti (that was the warrenty replacement for my 99 Hope Ti-Gluide) so im a little behind the times when it comes to hubs. Im not interested in a Chris King, and the only Hubs I know about Are regular Hopes. Whats a good hub for a heavy rider, that will give it alot of abuse? The Hubs ive been looking at are the Hope Pro 2, Profile and the GU/ZOO/Adamant rear hub All look good and Hope and Deng have a good pick up,not sure on profile, but how strong and reliable are they? Going to be building a whole new back wheel (my Hope Mon on X-lite phatso is showing its age) so I will be lacing it up to a Echo, or Koxx rim (which ever comes reccamended) One Thing I may also consider is building the wheel 1 side Radial, had mine built like that for years now.

Heres what I would do. (and have done for the best part of 9 years) Ditch the Avid in Favor of an XTR V brake and Lever. Use a standard inner cable Use Jagwire Outer cable (make it slightly longer than you normaly would, it tends to straighten the noodle outherwise) Find an Old XTR Booster, or use something similar. As for pads thats your choise, but ive found standard Blacks with a grind to be more than good enough. My old XTR lasted over 4 years, the previous one only got replaced due to a stack, but is still useable. Brendan (from here, Br3n) trued all sorts of Avid V brakes before Settling with F&R XTR V brakes, only stopped using them because his bike was stolen. I fell that no V brake will ever be as Good as the XTR brake and lever.

I was intriqued to know as just rebuilt my new brake, and seeing as I have the facilites I thought it wise to use them. But if there is no specified torque Ill Use the engineers elbow. Im suprised no manufacture has released a setting, would help alot in a court case should something go wrong and the rider try to sue the company (not that many would)

I would like to know the Correct torque setting for my rear Brake Mounts. If it makes the difference: GU Frame 4 Bolt Magura Mounts Echo 4 Bolt Booster. I dont want to hear "just do it until it feels right" any sped can do that. I want to know the correct Torque setting for the rear brakes.

Helicoiling is simply replacing the old the old threads with a steel insert, thats a thread. It is stronger and can take alot more torque that an Alloy thread. Just make sure it was done properly.

And here is the Other end of the PAge. Avoid them, they are a Bad Idea. I was Speaking to the Guys on Team Extreem Last year when we did a Show with them, and The topic Came up. Chris Mahoney Was telling me how alot of BMXers he rides with have all gone off the 1/2 link because of its bad design. And funnily enough That same day Craig Lamptons 1/2 link chain snapped, and did that same thing the very next show. The chain has a structural weak point on the bend Where it goes from an Outside link to an inside link in a short space. My advice would be to buy a decent "noraml" chain. Ive been running the Sram PC48 chain for over 8 years (changed when worn) and had no problems at all.

So I should go for a TV thats got 1080. From what Ive read 1080p is better that 1080i (interlaced and De-interlaced) as it displays each frame sequencialy. Right now I have some sort of Idea I shall hence forth and look for a nice TV.

Im looking at buying a new TV for the Crib. Currently got a 32" TV. Its just your standard TV, fat grey and shows moving pictures. Looking into these new LCD or plasma options, whats the gains of either. Also is it worth going for a TV with 1080 dpi, and why should I pay extra for that (whats it do) I want 32" - 40" Screen, not sure if I should get LCD or Plasma. Seen sets ranging from £400-£1k but what should i look for? I have an Xbox 360 and Virgin Media that will need to work with it.. Also Does having HDMI ports mean its a HD tv? or is that what the Whole 1080dpi is all about?
