  1. I'm ready for a cloud comp with less than 20Watts in the eGrip. However that coil setup and 200Watts could just be no competition.
  2. Same. PayPal emails out. That sucks guys, but at least I may have gotten the car to where I was originally planning to by the next one. Tftd3? Maybe better weather in September anyways, always seems to be at the moment.
  3. Cheers guys, suspected abnormal pneumonia or severe anaemia is what her mum reckons, meeting them at the hospital after lunch, apparently she was on an IV and now is throwing up anything eaten orally the car is with the garage now, they reckon it is just superficial, but will get it on the ramps and let me know. I must admit I was not in the best frame of mind yesterday, fingers crossed things go abit better today!
  4. Probably the worst day I have had in years. Shitty rain on the way to work, had an interview for a bespoke engineering role, dont think it went well, think he was after someone with more project management experience, not the end of the world, the role sounded less interesting than what I am currently doing. some dick didn't on the way home didn't know the width of his car and clipped my wing mirror in the leon got home, waiting for Bisi's (GF's) car to arrive, (nice 06 Suzuki swift) get a call from her saying that she was having trouble breathing, she went to the doctors on the way home from work, they said take her straight to hospital, she refused to go until her new car arrived, an hour later, the car arrived, taxed, straight to hospital, dropped her off, parked up and had our time wasted for 4 hours then got told I had to leave as visiting hours were over without a diagnosis, they have her on oxygen and are keeping her over night. she couldnt walk 20feet with out basically collapsing due to lack of oxygen! very serious reluctantly left, paid in the machine at the hospital car park, stole a tenner from me and the card to leave the car park went to the office, they couldn't refund me so I have to deal with that tomorrow, gave me 2 cards so I could leave through the gate, got to her nice new car and the van in the spaces opposite must have parked without the handbrake on, on a down slope, straight into the front of her car! couldn't move her car without letting the van roll down the hill, took photos etc security couldnt help me track down the driver or move the van, so I had to call the police based on security instruction, 2 hours later they turn up, (i had chocked the van wheels at this point) moved the car, a bit of damage to the bumper, police give me an incident report and leave, I go to leave with the vans driver details from the police, neither f**king card works, so I am stuck in the car park still, go up to the office to get another ticket and spot the van driver about to get in his van. speak to the guy, got his details and gave him mine and made him aware of the police incident report, will get the car looked at tomorrow, will find out tomorrow when a garage looks at it to determine damage, Bisis mum (doctor) then calls me and says she got through to the registrar and suspects she has either abnormal pneumonia or severe anaemia. finally get out of the car park with the help of security as all the offices are now shut at 12.30am I really hope she is okay and I can get her car sorted before she realises. She is also missing the last day of school (teacher) which is also the last day her tutor group will be hers, so she will be mega disappointed. But yeah, shit day. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
  5. The gusset is what used to kill them! He has made the right choice.
  6. I'm just massively over cautious with the batteries. I know it is likely to be just hearing about shit ones. Could always try cleaning the coil? Remove wick, load it up until it is glowing white and then hold it under flowing water from a tap (coil only) watch the shit fly off. Will drop the resistance and might keep you going until you can get another.
  7. Don't knock it till you try it! Tastes and smells great. Can make you a little hungry though haha No, I was a smoker. Now i will occasionally have one in an emergency situation and dislike it. I wouldn't say I am addicted to not smoking either, I have made a switch in habits to a superior habit. If I am not going to make the most of that then that would be a waste. Especially since the eGrip all in costs about 70 quid and the fluid costs about £30 to make litres of fluid. serious money saver over smoking. Also means I still get breaks at work without having to smoke... Be cautious with it. Replace the coil, might be an idea to change the battery as well. If it does go it will be a big bang in something that will act essentially like a grenade. Take no chances.
  8. Just spotted this thread! Read it all. Not impressed, there are clearly a lot of people who have not done their research. Ecigs are shite and created by the tobacco industry. This is the cause of the problem with legislation, the ignorance between vaping a mechanical mod and a ecig is insane. People just don't think they are different. They use different fluids and work in a different way. This is the shitty eCig i am referring to: and this is what I am currently using (pic from internet, but hand included to show size scale): I have been Vaping for quite some time now. My primary device is the eGrip OLED by Joyetech. Excellent device so far, very small (just larger than a zippo) battery lasts all day, 3.6ml tank, can vary Voltage or Wattage. between 8-30 Watts. The perfect stealth vaporiser, can use it anywhere and rarely get noticed. It has a rebuild-able micro coil with the RBA base (usually go about 1.1 Ohms) and an adapter to STD port battery from an old Mod I used to use. I have a large bore tip, make my own coils, wick and my own eLiquid. I did have the previous generation of the eGrip, but unfortunately that died recently because it would no longer charge (2 bits of solder hold the micro USB port in place, common fault) I just haven't gotten round to disassembling it to reconnect the solder, but once I do it will be solely used for less than legal vaping, once I work out how to make what I need... If any one needs some advice with making eLiquid I can point you in the right direction for medical grade products online. It is very easy to do, but usually requires steeping for 2 Weeks or more, also some patience and maths is involved. For the people that aren't in the know. PG gives you throat hit and flavour. VG give you vapour. Nicotine is optional, but is typically made up of VG, therefore having mentally high nicotine content will sacrifice flavour, I run between 3-6mg/ml and this works fine for me, cravings satisfied. If you want almost no vapour, 100% PG will be great if you can stomach the punchy throat hit. My regular flavour is (60PG/40VG) strawberry cheesecake, but I also make strawberry, cheesecake, lemon and lime and lemon and lime cheesecake. I have also been sampling a mate flavour he calls "your mum" which is one of the best tasting vape juices going IMO, uses a blend of about 15 flavourings. I also agree that vaping if you aren't a previous smoker is weird, but each to their own. Cloud chasing is also a pretty bizarre activity, but whatever floats your boat. Cheers, Ash EDIT: Also, they can f**k off if they think they are taxing me, the materials I buy, some of them can be purchased at boots as beauty products... proper vaporisers are safe to use, the only real point of concern is put an object in an out of your mouth continuously, make sure your tip is cleaned regularly! Just ban the shitty eCigs and be done with it. It also massively irritates me when people do have ago at me vaping inside. f**k OFF yeah? Although I did hear a story of an inconsiderate vaper who was destroying a film in the cinema for the audience by creating dense cloud of vapour near the front. Less of that needs to happen... This link could be helpful to some... Link
  9. Where is cheapest to HPI check a vehicle? Also, how do you register a registration plate? Old owner wants to keep his personalised plates
  10. I am really pleased with my 661 Recon. Excellent helmets with rear of the head protection and are light without a massive price tag.
  11. Strength, Weight, Price. Pick two.
  12. It should be split into 3 worksheets one for 20, one for 24, one for 26. Forks should defo be included. Looks like a great idea though. Trying to recall frame geometry from 10+ years ago can be a right arsehole.
  13. All your precum lubricating everything.
  14. Yeah luke, I know. In the long run it should work out. I like how yours is coming along. I'll let you know in the suspension front.
  15. I hope you are in for a rant/read. The plan was, get handling sorted, add power, LSD This is what has happened. Basically the order this last month or so has been: Buy parts for power upgrades, tryed to adjust coilovers to raise ride height as it was decked, collar seized and all the plastic clips broke off in the tool, bought new collars, removed strut, still wouldn't budge Get all wheels powder coated, New tyres, New brakes, hit deer, fixed lights *Yum angel eyes*, fog grill, arch liner went to get tracking sorted, the front is out of adjustment LH & RH so they cannot be set equally, Rear one has negative camber, the other positive, bought second hand beam in Worcester with poly bushes bought top mount bearings and adjustable top mounts to fit with the coil over collars, to fix the front tracking, vinyl wrapped the front bumper as it was only paint that came off, the wrap was a risk, took a punt, didn't pay off, now the damage is hidden, did a good job, but the sun has killed it and de-laminated it in obvious areas. purchased second hand LCR body kit, needs some work as I will get the front properly done then get some clear protective wrap like heli-tape, but better visibility through it. took car to a garage to fit the new rear beam, means I am borrowing their C1 racecar. (its unfathomably slow) it the next step up from having to walk turns out brake lining is a bit corroded and the hand brake cables needed replacing, They also had to remove the rARB and had to cut the fixings to do it... got car back with new beam fitted, rear tracking done! Now for the fronts, booked in for today to have the hoses, cables and front suspension collar replacing and the adjustable top mounts, Yay front tracking done! Nope, they couldn't do the work because the front suspension has rock, probably from the deer, maybe from a pot hole, maybe from braking hard, who knows. They suggested it buy another set or get the currents refurbished, I'm leaning towards buy more and then refurb these and sell them on (or not refurb them if someone wants them cheap) But they did manage the brake hoses and handbrake cable, They also managed to identify that the LH ball joint was shot so it probably the root cause of my steering knocking at low speed, big angled turns. Probably more bullshit to come. I now have lots of parts that I can't fit because things aren't ready yet and I've already invested now. What was to be a few upgrades and a general service has gotten very expensive very fast! It is also massively frustrating as it is looking worse and worse for TFTD2. Once it's done, it's done. So I am kind of biting the bullet now, as I know I want this car to be mine for quite some time. Cheers, Ash
  16. Aghh CAR! Car is rinsing funds since I hit the deer.
  17. Well they also did all the prep, changed tyres, weighted the rims and disposed of the old tyres. It was more than I was expecting, but they are spot on so not going to complain. The only thing that pissed me off is that they gave me an all in price before work started and didn't make it clear that was not including the VAT. but it worked out to be 50+5 a wheel before tax. so would have been under 500, which I was happy with. Also in regards to the 9 wheels. x5 in antracite for road (1 spare), x4 in red for fun days.
  18. I used a company local to me called ACC in near Bordon (Hampshire) got 9 wheels and a strut brace done for just under 700. They did a really, really good job. Birmingham city is the cheapest around from what I have been told and seen, but you have to get the bits to Birmingham. They do about £20 a wheel, but from what I have seen the finish can be a bit hit and miss. Tends to be cheaper if you are doing a stock colour, black or white. Not sure if this helps.
  19. That was amazing! saw it live earlier, got the biggest claps. got about 300 photos, but dont want to spoil it for everyone as it is basically all the paddock that caught my eye. Very cool couple of days. can't wait for revival.
  20. 22/17=1.294 25/18=1.389 25/19=1.316 25/20=1.25 I would usually go for a slightly harsher gearing over an easier one. But 19 rear is the closest.
  21. You can ride whatever you like for either Frame durability has more to do with it.
