  1. If you can unscrew the current fan from the northbridge heatsink then you should be able to replace it with the 40mm fan you linked to, if not (I know some mobos have the fan sort of integrated into the heatsink) then you will need to replace the heatsink; if so you will need some thermal paste. Fromthe photo it looks as though yours is an integrated fan/heatsink, you can always try to resurrect the fan by cleaning it out with some electrical contact spray cleaner, you should get it off the motherboard first though
  2. Your ozonys rides soo nice, needs a bit of a diet but its been built on a budget so far
  3. There is usually a little plastic pushpin either side of the fan, you should be able to dismount the entire heatsink and replace it for 5-10 quid You might need to take the motherboard out of the case though, have a look and see if you can release it without doing so. Replacements can be bought from overclockers.co.uk, you need a northbridge heatsink/fan; either a passive (quieter) or active (more effective) solution should be available.
  4. Overpriced refreshments and overly long qeues?
  5. Cheaper to buy a replacement head/engine surely edit: second hand of course
  6. 880g for a disk only fork with a hole in the steerer tube? My bt forks are 820g with disk and vee mounts!
  7. My mums dad was an RAF mechanic and my dad mums partner was a commando in ww2 Both dead now My uncle was on the design team for the hubble telescope and helped designed one of the satellites that were destroyed in the ariane 5 rocket in 2002. The family on my mums side is related to Charlotte Corday, a famous murderess during the french revolution, and on my dads side is related to Shakespeare (only through marriage). Theres probably something else Ive forgotten
  8. I used to get that when I was riding bmx all the time, its a form of tendonitis and nothing you can really do apart from rest them. I did find that having my brake lever bite point closer to the bars helped, also having a slightly spongey brake (rather than one that is solid at the lever). Im now 29 and have been riding bikes in a silly manner (bmx/jump/trials) since I was 16, Im certainly stiffer now and recover much slower but as dwats said, once the body has acclimatised to the work then its normally ok My endurance has reduced drastically though, now I can manage maybe 4 hours of solid riding before having to stop, used to be able to do 12 hours solid at a skatepark
  9. Have a look in the local yellow pages for powdercoaters, if youre lucky you should be able to get the frame coated for 10-15 quid or so, it will need to be stripped and masked appropriately though - they may even do it for you
  10. I wanna see bigman on a mod again
  11. Lee mill quarry in bacup
  12. I think the mountainking is a recommended choice (going by what the tarty riders are using) be aware that they come up narrow though, my 2.2 front tyre comes up at about 50mm carcass width. Im not really in any position to tell whether the tyre is any good on natural as Ive not used on anything other than street, grip seems good on concrete/brick though
  13. I seem to remember the frame being about 1600-1700g or there abouts, reckon that build is about 10.4kg? Would certainly consider one if I was in the market for a new frame
  14. It all depends on the size of the air reciever on the compressor, if its not got enough volume the compressor will have to keep running continuously to keep the pressure up. I would imagine most sandblasting units would have a stated minimum requirement for air supply. My guess is that it wont be big enough
  15. Hammering can work but youre likely to dent/crack the cups or force them in at a funny angle, damaging the headtube and cup. I use a vice with a piece of plywood on the jaw face to protect the cups, push one in at a time and they should go in square
  16. I very much doubt it will fit
  17. Im going to be there (with my sub 9kg bike )

    Best Bargains

Triton deema frame, 4 hours use, brand new condition - 300 quid Well I thought it was a bargain
  19. I had a 60a highroller, once the edges of the knobbles wore down it was possibly one of the slippiest tyres in history
  20. Is that 60a or 70a durometer version?
  21. The section of the tyre is really, really round, sort of balloon shaped rather than the squarer carcass of the maxxis, picture attached doesnt show quite how big it is but if you compare it to the size of the maggie slaves it should give you some impression of size Thats mounted onto a dx32 (38mm wide) so on a wider rim it will probably be a touch wider. edit: Im guessing the carcass at its widest point is about 2.6-2.7" can get a better measurement later if you want.
  22. The rubber queen is huge, bigger than a 2.5 maxxis; I think mine measures 29" diameter @ 20psi if thats any help
  23. If I didnt have my polish lodgers mum coming over for a week I could have put you up in lichfield, unfortunately I dont have any spare floor space sorry :$
  24. Sorry I cant help it, once I get the ti middlebash on this week it should be down to 8.9kg, going to look at modifying a set of burns to run a splined front sprocket aswell Still no titanium or aluminium screws on it
