  1. I think most people, myself included, just thought it was media hype and no worse than flu. It's only really hit home since seeing doctors in Italy struggling etc... For me it was a case of seeing China on the news and thinking "Oh, shit, nasty..." and not thinking much more of it. I'm concerned for older members of my family who are high risk, but I'm not too worried about myself, still definitely not looking forward to having it. As @Greetings said, the spirit of the community is good to see. I'm volunteering locally to help those in need.
  2. I think it's the right way to do it though, certainly seems to make sense. No GCSE's etc for the year will no doubt put a big strain on schools next year, presumably they'll have double the amount of applicants.
  3. Schools here are closing as of Friday. My partner is a primary teacher and they predicted this would be the last week.
  4. I have some supplies, I didn't panic buy but usually have a healthy stock of stuff like noodles, pasta, cereal etc. I've probably got about a weeks worth of food left and friends locally that can drop stuff round if I need it. I went for a walk yesterday, I live near a big park that's mostly empty so I was able to head out for some fresh air without interacting with anyone. Currently feel too rough to go out on the bike, but once better I'll do the same as my walk, head out and avoid contact with people.
  5. I'm showing all symptoms other than fever... could just be a cold, or very minor Corona, who knows. Now they're not testing, I'll never know! Already in isolation naturally anyway, worked from home for almost two weeks so far and no contact with family as they're all spread across the world, miles from Bristol.
  6. Because it's more of an unknown, I think. And it's spread further and faster than previous viruses, so they're trying to limit the impact on the NHS.
  7. Been working from home for a week and a half, boss predicts at least another 12 weeks... Fun stuff. As of today, all the office staff have been told to work from home too, given laptops etc.
  8. No surprise that's posted on Tik Tok, the internet version of Covid-19
  9. Fear of supply was spread online - people thought all the toilet roll comes from China, so they bought it before supply stopped... We're much like sheep and do things because others do it, which is what has led to this.
  10. My local shops are all bare, had to order bog roll on Amazon ffs. People are the worst.
  11. Not a huge fan of that wing, but that's some epic progress - beautiful paintwork! Once I get a house, which hopefully will be later this year, mine is going on axle stands for a few months and I'm gonna refresh all the arms and bits and bobs underneath. Even if it sits there for a year, I'll get it done in the end.
  12. Why have you had all your previous posts deleted then? And what's with the influx of bots that answer back? This shit is getting creepy.
  13. That's just over £600 in UK cash, doesn't seem like a bad price if it's been well maintained - frame bearings / shock etc... If you could knock them down to around £500-550 that seems like a pretty good bike for the money. Certainly good enough for general trail use.
  14. "So, Danny, everyone thinks e-bikes are heavy, could you just casually drop in how light it is?" I jest... cool video, he doesn't disappoint, regardless of the bike he's on.
  15. But you posted the exact same message on two different threads. It doesn't make sense. Your latest posts appear to be spammy too.
  16. Here's some feedback: f**k off. Interesting that a spam bot signed up in 2019, had 4 posts deleted and now has come back alive today.
  17. Assuming this is some kinda bot, because this makes no sense whatsoever
  18. I'm just waiting for the marketing folks to decide we need 24" MTB's with 300mm travel front and rear.
  19. What was their reasoning behind that?
  20. So, my UTR never came through and I just chased it up. Turns out there's a little button that says "Next", which you need to click to finish registration (Despite me getting an email saying it was done and six different check boxes highlighted green). You could say it's my fault for missing that, which it is, but I'd also argue that the website is hugely unhelpful and misleading. I'll probably have to pay a late filing fine, which to be fair I'll take on the chin - I've been pretty lazy on this one.
  21. I can vouch for that bike being suitable - you didn't hang about on the climb at the beast that year! (Proof again that I'm the limiting factor, that hill almost killed me!)
  22. I am, without a doubt, the limiting factor of all the bikes I've owned - I'd rather make excuses than admit that, though haha. Wheels are too big, frame is too small, it's too wet, it's too dry...
  23. Haha, it's a weird experience for sure. Good for rolling over rocks and roots apparently, but I didn't enjoy it much. And yeah, my Dartmoor came from Poland and that was £4.95 shipping or something - that's cheaper than I could send one in the UK.
  24. Yeah I was surprised to not see proper bucket & harness setup, they've clearly done a ton of work on that car, so to skip that safety aspect is weird.
  25. Not one for the purists, but what a machine this is!
