you'll hear lots of bad stories about ipods but your bound to because they out sell all the other mp3 players on the market by millions so theres bound to be more bad stories!! i've had ipods for the last 3 and a half years, the batteries have been fine, and i've only broken one when i stacked dirt jumping with it it my pocket. you can replace the batteries so theres no problems there. apple have stopped making the mini now, so its either a nano or a video ipod. you may be able to get mini from a few websites, but i work for pc world (waiting for mockery and abuse) and i know we haven't had a mini in store for 2months. the creative zen micro's are pretty good so if you want something different to the norm then thats your best bet. the itunes shop is probably the best and cheapest place to get legal music, its where i get most of mine. hope this helps cheers

Reviews: How Does You Bike Ride In The Snow/wet
craigjames replied to Mc Lovin's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
you can get red toxsin pads from trials-uk.co.uk for 10 quid including p+p, was wonderng what they were like as i need some new pads because im still running standard magura blacks! ive got a reasonably worn highroller which doesnt hold too well in the wet and some cheapo pinned platform pedals, great in the dry but as soon as they get wet the powder coating makes them as slippy as ice! grips are just tioga mushroom grips, lovely and soft, dont move much. any tips on the pads would be great, but im not to keen on a grind or tar if i can get away with it cheers -
yeah limewires great, its just all the ad/spyware that you get with it, the cleanest and safest way of gettin music free is by using bit torrents and other torrents like already said. oh and please somebody dont say kazaa!! :P

Anyone Been In A Car Accident?
craigjames replied to James@swanseatrials.com's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
you wont get the actual value of your car back unfortunately with any fully comp insurance policy. basically just for future reference you need to get an agreed value policy, the insurance company will request receipts/photos or send a valuer out to make a valuation report, you then agree the the value of the car based upon this report, pay a bit extra to your insurance company and then in the unfortunate event that this happens again you'll get that amount, if it gets written off. this is how ive got mine insured, on the private market advertised in a specialist mag i could get 4500-5000 for it but the open market value is about 2500, big difference. definitely get one for a show car like that as its unique and its notjust money but time anthought that goes into them. got the right idea though, nobody with any sense mods a car to go really quick when your 17-18, not enough experience to handle most cars let a lone a quick one, plus who needs a quick car in town any way, go slow so people have time to stare and admire!! it'll get sorted in the end mate speedy recovery to your girlfriend -

this is exactly the right idea, just start thinking about your girlfriend and try and turn that anger into trying to help your girlfriend and passion into getting another car on the road. i was driving round behind my mate in town this time last year and he got a blow out at 30mph, he span and hit me square in the front and the bounced round and hit the drivers side of my car. nothig i could do. couldnt claim as it would have screwed his inurance and mine. i just got on with saving every penny i could to get in back on the road. scared the crap out of me though it was totally not your fault as already said so its just your girlfriend youve really got to worry about right now good luck mate -
its probably worth about £600, the frames are great but jump bikes genreally dont get great money second hand no matter what condition really :turned:

Anyone Been In A Car Accident?
craigjames replied to James@swanseatrials.com's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
i spose he could claim through his insurance if he's got fully comp, but then again its a show car and a lot of the mods will not be included in the pay out unless he's got agreed value like ive got for my mini. so he'll only get the market value of the car plus the value of any named and valued mods if they include them. harsh -

thats harsh mate, hope your girlfriend gets better soon. is there absolutely no way of gettin any money. would talk to a solicitor and see if there is any thing you can do at all. the first hour with them is free as well. tis a shame about the car, love the colour, in my opinion it does look a bit over done but hey thats just personal preference, but still looks a mint show car. how bad is it, can your salvage anything at all? sorry mate s*1t luck -
swings. sh** scared of them. cant go near swings if someones on one, cant go on one if someone else is on them. but im fine if im on them by myself. im twenty and still scared silly by them. might have something to do with gettin hit in the head by someone o a swing when i was litte but still!! am actualy kinda freaked by anyone who swings stuff around!! strange, ah well !

rotors only tend to warp when subjected to extremes of heat, as in trials you dont tend to drag the break at high speed then not much heat builds up. the way i set up my mini's on my other bike is to put summat round the lever to make the brake lock in place, then take the mounting bolts out and adjust the amount of washers to fill the gap between the calliper and the frame mounts. when you think youve got this right dot he mouting bolts back up and the calliper should be centralised over the rotor. check that your pads are wearing straight as if the calliper was mounted properly to start then they wont hit the rotor evenly. to sort this just use a fine file or emery cloth. hope this helps, it works for me cheers

sorry forgot to say i already have 31.8mm stem, what are the onza cf risers like? i've haerd that they dont have a lot of rise? hmmm new colours, what to get........ cheers

camo and flames are a bit weak really, look good for a while but are a bit tacky (preparing for abuse). how about a baby blue fading to white at the head tube area with white forks and black detailing?
-
right i need some risers for my 04 saracen trials bike, was gonna buy some zoo's but no one seems to have any in stock. the one thing i cant seem to find anywhere is the actual rise of the bars. the bars i have at the mo are just the standard flat ones, about 720mm long which is nice and comfy. any advice on bars and any info on the actual rise of the bars would be really helpful. maybe tarty and select could update their sites to include this info? cheers

what type of disc do you have?!! as depending on what disc u have there is different ways of sorting it. but if its only the rotor then as already said an adjustable spanner is the best way.

i'm in the same situation, i've bin riding bout 4months and am stuck at about 2 foot, think thats about four pallets, what takes the mick is on my street bike i can bunnyhop and clear 3 foot. dunno what the problem is!! one thing is that i've got no one round here that i can really watch and help me with technique. if you've got someone round you who rides to a good level just watch them and ask them to give you a few pointers after watching you. i don't seem to be able to throw the bike forwards and upwards like i've seen people in videos do. think thats the key to the big heights people can get up.

:deej:--> QUOTE(R*B @ Oct 30 2005, 10:00 PM) ← Do NOT look at the azonic steelhead, they are the source of all that's evil... Utterly useless creations, more crack happy than a plumbers arse. As for the other comments, all good. 24-7 are tougher and ride better than DMR. ive only ridden my mates and his had been fine so far, touch wood, so was only basing it on that!! i ride a azonic evo 2 with 24" atomlabs and it ride sweet, nice and light flys pretty sraight and is as strong as you like. but keep it steel is my advice, can only get away with alu if your smooth of have loads of money!! marzo's have solid internals but are pretty heavy, those manitous are bein used by loads of people now, having used shermans i know there pretty smooth and are a damn site lighter the atomlab wheels are well built bits of kits, i've had a set and thrashed them and theyve held up well, sealed bearings, all black adn if you get the air corps you get a light weight set of wheels wich will last. (Y) :)
-
the bike is pretty good spec for dirt jumpin, the dirt jams are very heavy as has already been said, if you could stretch to the manitou upgrade for only a hundred and fifty quid the it would a lot more manouveralble in the air. only thing bout the 24/7 kit is i have had a few mates destroy their cranks, yeah they have a lifetime warranty but it is annoying if they break!! if your gonna build up your bike look at the atomlab wheelsets, you can get them from chainreaction cycles. also look at the azonic steelhead frame cheers (Y)

dont know how long it took me maybe a month to do them consistantly with control. try not to worry bout how many i can do, prefer to do less for the same move, looks better in opinion; more control.
