  1. This is something I've been thinking about as well. It seems that from a sensible country where people trusted each other and life was fairly easy and liberal, it's turning into Orwell's big brother concept. I can only relate these things to my personal experience from living in Poland and there are a few things I like about the UK. The educational system for those who actually care is much better, young people are given much more possibilities to develop their interests and start earning money on them. Everything else about that place makes me want to puke. I was born there and used to live in Wimbledon for many years and I'm really grateful my parents decided to move out. Thanks to that, I consider my life to be much easier and more care free than it would if we stayed. The worrying thing for the rest of Europe is that what's going on in the UK will start to spread. I consider this to be a form of progress - from treating people liberally to keeping a close eye on them in order to increase safety/tax revenue/control.
  2. Well, that's a piece of information all of us will find useful. JT - The Monty design or Try-All freewheels are made in Taiwan.
  3. King rear hub Monty 221Ti cranks Triton frame Coustsinks Blue HSB pads Magura brakes Echo TR clamps Big Betty tyre Trialtech foam grips
  4. ENO freewheel, it cost a fortune and never worked well RB brake lever, it cost a fortune and started leaking after a few rides Echo brake, it cost a lot and started leaking after a few rides White stripe Echo tyres, they looked cool but had less grip than it's humanly possible to imagine There must have been loads more, these are the biggest let downs though.
  5. Didn't VIZ or ZHI make them for a while?
  6. They all look nice, props to Koxx for working so hard on the design. With these around, Echos just look so dull.
  7. Not really a girl trouble question but it's somewhat related. Do any of you guys (who actually want to have a girlfriend for more than just something to stick your willy into) loose interest once you've been with your girlfriend for say two or three weeks and regain interest only when she's ready to dump you because you've been spending no time together? This is something that's bothering me at the moment, found a girl and she's great but I'm pretty sure I'll loose interest in her as soon as she opens up. And then after she dumps me, I'll regret the brief loss of interest for the next few months.
  8. They're the same thing.
  9. The stock ones do flex, the mod forks are surprisingly stiff. That's my only observation as far as 20" goes. Been running 26" 4bolt SL forks for half a year now and they're fine.
  10. To put it simple: it's not going to make any difference to inexperienced riders. Don't assume nobody will feel a difference just because you can't. As for the tyres, I can't see why folding 19" wouldn't work. But as stated previously, there's too small a market for these tyres to make different varieties.
  11. I'd recommend the lower and shorter Echo SL mod stem. Forgot the geometry but it's one of the few stems I've tried on a mod and thought "this is just perfect". In most circumstances they were either too short or had too much rise. edit: 175x30
  12. Youtube Video -> Original Video Epic.
  13. Centre of BB shell to top centre of head tube: 605mm (23.75") That's what you should look at, it'll tell you how long the bike will feel regardless the head tube angle or wheelbase. Can't help with the 350mm chainstays though, never rode such short ones. GU LE perhaps?
  14. Echo Lite short is what I'd recommend. Basically you'll find the Czar a bit shorter than the Monty due to the slacker head tube angle. This should make bunnyhops easier.
  15. I've got a pair of blueberries on my front wheel, they're amazing! Using them on a light grind.
  16. Echo TR should fit into the strong and cheap description rather well.
  17. The search function does appear to be black magic to most though.
  18. Your vids always stand out of the crowd for being exceptionally well edited with an interesting choice of music. This was no exception, fantastic riding and you definitely managed to show the fun aspect of riding. Also, some of the lines you come up with are nothing I've ever seen before even in Rowan's vids. Loved the one where you started on the grass and finished on the roof of a building.
  19. The larger the front and rear chainring, the less likely your chain is to skip or snap. If you have good chain tension, it won't skip so the latter becomes a problem. What hub do you want to use th at 11T on? Pretty sure that the normal 1,37" are 12T max.
  20. What do you mean it's not?
  21. That's brilliant. Might try and get some similar obstacles for my garden trials course. It'd make riding alone so much more interesting. Most of that stuff could probably be found on building sites and taken away for free.
  22. That's because the rear brake works in the opposite direction.
  23. Love those surroundings in the pics. How lucky is he to have such a place to ride.
  24. Heavy breathing instead of music. Nice innovative idea but it doesn't work. Overall some incredible riding. That guy with the grey bike is bloody good.
