  1. I've had a very close look at the internals on my hub (it's probably about 2-3 years old) and noticed that the drive shell "thread" on which the ring drive is situated does wear out a bit. This means that the system can sometimes have problems with instant engagement as the ring drive isn't moving accurately on the drive shell due to play. Just my thought though.
  2. I'd love to see a vid of the Russion Stefan Laszlo if you have one Riding was ok I guess, not my scene though.

    Benny Vid 3!

I'd usually agree with tipus but not this time, dunno why though. The vid was good, so was the music. Besides Benny rides a Python and nobody's been creative on that frame yet Only joking
  4. They're all home made. Sold the GU adaptor to Abe W so hopefully we'll be seeing another GU DD bike up in the bike pics forum soon! Before you ask - no, I can't make one unless I have a frame, brake and hub to work on. It's an easy job though, just make one out of paper and then transfer that onto steel. Got the Python disc adapter though if anyone wants it. It's thin steel and therefore weak though. The GU one was much thicker. edit: A topic on this subject woo: Courtesy of Dimitri@Tritoncycles
  5. You're clearly not getting enough height. Technique is fine, you need to put more power into the jump itself. Or 2 full rotations - constant pedaling from start to finish. Makes a huge difference
  6. Well it was designed for basketball but eventually gives you an explosive and dynamic jump. So I don't really see why you have to be into basketball to want to do this program? I'll be doing it again this year when it gets too cold. It's the only movement I get in the winter when I can't ride and it's a great way to use up all the energy. It also works - one can observe progress in a matter of 1 week.
  7. Should have got mine He got it incredibly cheap though
  8. Legs: air alert 3 (you'll find it on google). Did it last year and it really improved my vertical jump. It's not good for your knees though. It's strange nobody's posted Mr Marshall's photo?
  9. Absolute legend. Never thought he could go as big as that Somebody put iron balls in his pants or he'll drift away

Nice monocycle Just what an XTP fork would look like
  11. Once or twice, sometimes once every 2 weeks. Just don't have the time. It depends on the weather though.
  12. Had huge problems with this move. It's much easier if you do a half stroke touchhop. This not only gives you more boost but doesn't require you to put a lot of power into rotating the cranks. It's dead easy on a light gear ratio and on a stock but you have neither My advice is to start from doing it at an angle and execute a small touchhop - lay your front wheel on the edge, push the bike down and pull up. Don't use your cranks as a source of power for the move if you get me. Body movement is key edit: having wrote this I guess you're more interested in getting up 35-40" rather than that huge surge on the vid. That's completely different.
  13. Mr Maher, you are a king. Just dismantled my hub your way with no problems at all I was even close to getting a hubtool found it dead easy having locked the drive shell with a chain for it not to rotate.
  14. It could be possible that the teeth on the ring drive are a bit worn? I guess the most important part in a king hub is for the ring to move freely on the drive shell. If it doesn't, it won't engage properly. If you haven't, make sure that the drive shell is well lubed with a thin oil. If it's too thick it will cause the hub to skip. There's not much in a King that can cause it to skip as long as the components aren't worn.
  15. Didn't wear one for a couple of years but recently got into trials properly and now I always wear one unless I'm just playing around on palets in my garden.
  16. What spokes do you use then?
  17. Put nitrous into one of those and it'll go faster than a 911
  18. Haha word. 1 wheelbuild every 3 months. Never had dual disc have you? I guess you haven't heard about metal fatigue either which is the largest problem with spokes used on a rear disc setup. If they get fatigued, slack spoke tension is the ONLY way you can ride and keep your wheel in one piece (needless to say riding a wheel like that is not fun). Get the tension up and they'll break within seconds. edit: sorry, was in a bitchy mood
  19. Stickers need removing. Other than that - perfect.

Seriously the best vid I've seen in months! Needs more attention! And that BT7.0 looks awesome
  21. That was really fun to watch Really good riding, good editing and music as well. Camera angles weren't perfect but then it's very hard to do some proper filming at comps with all the people and obstacles around. Great work !
  22. must have been very absorbed by what I was doing because I can't recall being caught. edit: actually i did, on top of my gf at night, my mum for some reason had to walk into my room. we froze as she opened the door, it was completely dark so she might not have seen us. but then what did she expect, that we'd be sleeping in seperate beds?
  23. Guess they should have got you a helmet
  24. Wow that's one of the nicest bikes I've seen on this forum I want one!
  25. Frames are as good as any other Deng frame - they're made in the same factory, out of the same materials and ZM1's use the same CNC elements that were used in the 2005 Pythons. Plus they weigh something ridiculous like 1700g and yet they're very strong. Hubs - I think they're the same as Viz and BT? needless to say, nothing can go wrong with them Cranks - no good, they're 6061 Aluminum = awfully weak Rims - apparently good but mine lasted 2 months and now it's got a big flat spot but no dents.
