  1. What a dick. Liking your approach, let us know how it goes
  2. Can't figure it out either, like Adam said it'd be great to see where he's going. There's bound to be an explanation. This looks like a rally car so I'd say it's probably down to the slope and surface. Woo, got 2 pics in + 1,5 columns of text
  3. GF got a bottle of wine which she doesn't like so it's all down to me... could be a fun night though.
  4. Exactly what I thought. The only way you'll get air in the system is when air is captured under the diaphragm. Can't figure out whether "automatic" pad adjustment will work but if it doesn't, flipping the lever and giving it a few pulls should sort it.
  5. Interesting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Uz8SVP1xig Starts at 1:41.
  6. Came back from the gym, finished my 2 week routine, now waiting for a new one. Can't wait to get back into shape. I'm actually enjoying working out for the first time in my life because I can already see the results. Getting fitter could mean I'll start riding better which in turn will open up new riding spots and that in turn will make me more interested riding again. Hope this all works, fingers crossed
  7. My mate managed to find the right substitute and it was clear. Took him a long time, he went through a lot of different hoses before finding one which worked like the Magura hose does. It's not going to be easy to find something which will work.
  8. This doesn't make me angry, more surprised. I used to weigh 75kg for the last 8 years at least. Had hardly no fat. I stopped riding half a year ago and started eating instead. Lost about 1kg of weight and got slightly fat here and there. Then dropped to 72kg and got a bit fatter. Stopped eating sugar and bread about 6 weeks ago and have been working out for 2 weeks. Now I weigh 68kg and am still fat, plus it seems like my muscles have grown a tiny bit. What the hell is going on? Could my scales be broken or am I destined to become a flyweight fat man? That sounds like an incredibly dangerous combination, think what would happen during a light breeze.
  9. Well this is what we've all been waiting for. http://youtu.be/Kb8tGX-HPQE 19.29 Edit: been thinking about what the point of such cars is. At the end of the day, Chris is probably one of the few people in the world (owners included) who will actually drive this car hard. The way I see it, such cars are just a research platform - they are built purely to redefine what's possible because that's what we as a species do. This technology is not developed to allow people to achieve faster lap times because frankly speaking, there's not going to be that many people on earth competent enough to take this thing to it's limit. The fact these cars are later put into production and sold is just a way of paying for all the research. So I don't see this as a business model, more as a playground for scientists to develop tech which can later be implemented in the cheaper road cars.
  10. I kind of like Greetings, it's rather welcoming.
  11. Yeah, only found out about it recently. You're bound to find a tonne of messages inside!
  12. Adam, could you check your Other folder in your Facebook messages? So as not to go off topic, here's a picture of a tuned Ssang Yong
  13. B1k3 isn't too bad, what about Breath? I always associate it with this for some reason: Well, actually with a different Family Guy clip but can't find an image.
  14. In what way is it better though? I don't seem to have problems with hitting the correct keys when the phone is in landscape mode. Presumably this app you're talking about is more useful for portrait typing?
  15. Yeah, that's something you only realise when you've not been riding for some time. Trials requires a lot of strength and stamina but strangely, it comes naturally and rather quickly.
  16. Got my Samsung Galaxy S3 today, happy to find the touch keyboard isn't a huge nuisance. After flipping the phone 90 degrees it's almost as usable as the hardware keyboard on the Desire Z.
  17. Too much stress recently. Feeling like I'm not getting anywhere with my work, there's just more and more of it each day and I don't believe any of it will give any benefits whatsoever. Lacking something to look forward to, can't make any plans either. Constantly being disturbed, finding people annoying. Had a row with my parents and gf. Can't count on understanding from anyone closest to me. Actually getting quite depressed.
  18. Reminds me of a situation from 1,5 years ago. Fairly similar but happened on a roundabout. I ended up ramming the car and only hit the brakes at the last moment despite being aware before even entering the roundabout that an accident is imminent if I don't react. This leads me to the conclusion I could be rather a good racing driver
  19. Yeah, fair play. Wasn't talking about any nasty stuff anyway.
  20. Probably the best place to ask. Does anyone know how I can get in touch with Adam Read privately? Seems his PM's are disabled which is understandable for obvious reasons.
  21. What about using Phluid? It's a bit more "greasy" than water. If it were my lever, I'd use Phluid, if I didn't have any, I'd give it a water bleed. Can't see anything wrong happening with it. edit: On second thought, what about some Prestone radiator fluid?
  22. I'm not really hugely into these sports though I do prefer them to team sports like football, voleyball etc. I don't like snow so don't watch the comps but try to keep up to date watching the news. The only sport I actually enjoy watching is Wimbledon tennis since it's nice and green. For obvious reasons (to some) I paid a lot of attention to ski jumping and for the first time realized that it's about as extreme a sport as it gets. I once stood on top of a tiny ski jumping hill and was scared shitless. Can't imagine what guts it must take to belt down a 200+m one at over 100kph. Those guys must have balls so massive it's strange they can walk. Started reading about ski jumping and it seems that the V shape they fly in has only been around for a few decades, before the style was known but not used because jumpers would get poor marks for style if they used it. So I looked for videos from comps where they didn't use the V technique and it looks even more scary. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tFs7jVgUeDo There are some crashes there which look really nasty so you've been warned. There's one of a German which looks fatal but he seems to have survived according to Google. Besides, how do you actually start ski jumping? I don't think it's like you can gradually do bigger and bigger jumps? Even if you start off with the smallest of hills, you're probably going to need a LOT of courage.
