  1. Also, if the tag is embedded into the frame, if you brake that frame you would have to go through all the hassle of re-registering a new tag. I know this doesnt apply to everyone but some people change frames every 6 months or so. Plus what would you have to do if you brought a tagged frame, how much of a hardship would it be to change the name?, and what would the implications be if you didn't?
  2. Paint I did have an armordillo but i soon took it off cos it was ugly and i dont really mind if i dented the downtube. The armordilllo done its job well but it weren't really my thing.
  3. Haha love it. "Show him the guns!"
  4. Not sure about 'bike check area' but at the top of the page is the sticky called 'bike pic thread'
  5. Whooooaaa that's beyond bodged haha. Good effort Did you do that to both sides in the end cos i don't quite understand why that had to be done. I once had to bodge my Middleburns when the threads that held the cog on stripped. So I drilled through the bash where all the holes where and nut and bolted it, i kinda made the same mistake you did by not double checking before i attacked it with the Black & Decker and ended up drilling out part of the crank
  6. I really like it. Looks really good. Not sure how the status features gonna work out though. as said it'll just turn into the new 'just got in and drunk thread' haha
  7. I agree, It would be especially good for those who could never of made it to Koxx days. plus i think it would also attract a lot of international riders too. seeing as, like Koxx, Tartybikes is known in so many other countries other than the U.K. You never know it might become as big as or bigger than Koxx days (except for the comp part)
  8. Cant wait for the full video. Though that one was still pretty epic, I'm not sure what it is about your videos but i can watch them over again easily. Also I see your still mixing mega power with smooth riding. Quality riding style.
  9. So is your foot hitting the brake or is the brake hitting the wall/rail etc? Too slow haha. and i get what you mean now.
  10. I take it that the spacers sort of fitted into the clamps letting the bolts reach further. If that makes sense?
  11. Just put trials-uk into the search function and you'll soon see why.
  12. How long have you been riding? You seem to be doing ok to be honest. do you feel uncomfortable when riding the bike at all?
  13. Yeah. they guy who done is an absolute genius with ally work too, the welds are so good and so well placed even if it didn't have the treating it would would hold pretty well. plus since putting my brakes back on I'm not a basher anymore so im fairly confident. to be honest i have no idea, i built the wheel a couple of years ago in the only standard pattern i knew. I'll check it out in a bit. i think it just need rebuilding with new spokes.
  14. I have to agree with muel. Ive just had a disc mount welded to my Adamant A2 and, even though i prefer how the disc feels and works, the wheel flex is horrendous. Unless i can sort out the flex then i don't think I'll be sticking to it for long. So my opinion at the moment is go for maggies.
  15. Yeah Ive only got some sh*tty finepix thing which is i cant fault for daytime shots, but it sort of lacks in the low light situation.
  16. Unless you enjoy your brake fluid boiling every 5 minutes
  17. I use tar in the same way as you use a TPA, if im out on a ride and i find my grind isn't sufficient enough for hold i put a bit of tar on my rim just to give it that extra edge. I'd prefer not to use it at all in the summer though it just seems too sticky and ruins the feel of the brake.
  18. Yeah it is nice especially next to my bike, it looks pimp haha.
  19. Just some photos from me and my mate Nathan (Do do do) on the Onza who started trials last week. Sorry about Facebook but i cant be arsed to put them anywhere else tonight. Clicky If this doesn't work then I'll put them on photobucket in the morning It was just a chilled out night, its the first time I've ridden properly in about a year now, and im feeling good. Except the drop gap in the last photo was an epic fail which resulted in a flat tire and v.sore ankle . comments please. P.S. sorry bout poor camera angles. photographers first time.
  20. Queen- Don't Stop Me Now Was played at my prom and everyone was dancing also was part of the soundtrack to the best summer of my life It never fails to put me in a top mood when i hear it.
  21. When I ride on my own, with my ipod in, I usually just refine the moves i can do. However when i ride with mates i tend to try new moves or really improve the height/distance of the ones i can already do.
  22. I'm not sure but I think the mag came in above the pro. Onza mods generally have a good reputation for having good base frames which can easily be upgraded and be as good as a high end bike. If its a bargain price then all that matters if you like how it rides.
  23. Quality product Ive had mine for about two years now and they're still going strong after many slips to wall bashings.
