  1. yer it's just a laugh. you should be validated though. Can we still report someone for validation? gav
  2. I can't beleive your actually trying to argue that you need a certificate in order to fit an ariel. halfords ariels have fitting instructions on the box (or at least mine did) they also don't say that you should have a qualified mechanic fit your ariel. halfords has a turn over of around £578 million, they are in no way a multi billion pound company but i'm sure they can afford to replace an ariel so i don't know what your getting at with that. People slag halfords because 9/10 the service is poor, the products are over priced and most of the staff are untrained. There is no doubt that halfords is very succesful as a company, no one can slag that, but the individual shops usually suck
  3. saw you riding this down union street on sunday, it looks well nice.
  4. I agree. I can listen to the older stuff all the time and not get bored of it, but I'll find I like one song from a modern band and think the rest of the album is just shit, resulting in me not buying it or going to see them live.
  5. your a bit late now most of the snow is gone (although it's snowing on the hills today), mid january it's awesome, either in the nevis range, the lecht, or the cairngoroms. but saying that, the price of driving up here, finding somewhere to stay, getting a ski pass is gonna be 200-300 anyway and for another hundred or so you could be in the french alps
  6. you're right, it is an opinion, just the wrong one. I guess I just think metal is pretty shit because 98% of the time you can't make a word of it out, 98% of the time the people who listen to it are wankers, 98% of the time they use long unheard of words which the little rocker kids have to go and look up in a dictionary. It always seems to me like the rest of the bands musical talents are let down by one idiot screaming into the microphone. anyway I'm pretty mod so I would say that.
  7. another vote for halfords although mine was around £25. I use it fairly often on my car and stuff like that so it was worth spending the extra, the tenner one would do though.

    .,

I had hypermobile knees when I was about 6, doctor said i had to build up muscle around that area, so went all out on the running and football, 2 years later osgoodslaters in both knees, and incredible amounts of pain even if i just touch them.
  9. I think the words 'f**king ace' sum it up quite nicely, I love it and it's still going strong, even after a couple of silly big drops. it's so flicky and stiff, even if it does feel like it's going to break at any moment. That megamo is ace, reminds me of my old old monty which was a complete weapon (when it worked, which wasn't often).
  10. no severe warning for me, it is blisteringly cold tonight compared with the last couple of nights.

    Towler - Monty

nice towler need to ride newtonhill again soon.
  12. I'm going to t in the park can't bloody wait got to save some cash for it though
  13. chemists are often abit reluctant to give out srynges to anyone usually because anyone could use them for anything. if you go to a vets office they should have one for horses and that about 40-80ml which are better than the little 10-20ml human ones.
  14. car pressure washers are less powerfull than patio ones to prevent damaging any paint or body work and to stop the jet penatrating the seals of the doors and stuff.

    Freewheels?

On a try-all freewheel the lockring is on the opposite side from most other freewheels, this is because it's designed to go on the front and instead of loosening the lock ring just pushes against the crank arm. so if you put a try-all on the back it will be very awkward to tighten the lockring so you've just got to hope the lockring stays tight. you could just just locktite on the threads and it should be fine. but it might not be.
  16. I don't think thats bad at all really, It's loads better than getting a mouthful of soap which is what my parents did to keep me from swearing. That really did make you sick
  17. yeah haha I should of made it clear that I never meant for pets. What i meant was I'd rather be bitten by one of those than a black widow.
  18. I had some roborovski hamsters, they were ace did backflips and stuff but died after about 3 weeks because they had a nut allergy
  19. This will just drop off the first couple of pages like the others do. it would have to be stickied if it was going to work

    Freewheels?

The viz and try-all ones are just impractical to have on the back. They are difficult to open without removing the whole thing from the hub so servicing them is really awkward. The others should loosen themselves as you cycle just as an acs does on the front. The tensile is the cheapest option but they aren't that great. a try-all is good but you don't need all the engagments. eno is really the best one to go for they are simple to sort, The parts are readily available and they will last for years, if you look after it right.
  21. all myths according to wiki:- as for venom it seems one species of the 12 camels spiders has got venom but has no way of injecting it into its pray and the venom is a paralytic rather than an anesthetic. really they aren't that bad in comparison with some spiders
  22. about 500-600. haven't had anything from them in a while though
