Pros And Cons Between Hope Bulb And Pro Ii Rear Hubs.
Gavyn. replied to maxwellduryea's topic in Trials Chat
yeah bulbs are really for freeride / light downhill. Great hubs just not designed to stand up to trials. -
I too blacked out the other day, but that was because I was running full tilt after covering 5 miles or so with 50 pounds on my back. Hit the deck like a sack of shit next minute I was spitting grass out. luckily I could feel something wasn't right when I left my house and so was only half a mile away when I fell. Think i just never ate enough before I went. sort of felt "the wall" after about 2-2 1/2 miles normally I wouldn't have felt it for much further. never had anything like what happened to you though.

I'm pretty sure it was some kind of sarcastic joke? Is the car lowered at the moment then or standard height? I thought 205's sat fairly high anyway. you could do some arch work and save having to raise it, unless you're going for that classic 80's rally car look. The only way i've heard of people raising them up is on some small 4x4's they use a spacing block between the spring and the axle, but that only works if you have a non-independent rear axle. I'm guessing the only way to get it up is to get some taller springs and torsion bars. or perhaps just get some stiffer springs and lose some weight. (strip it out) it's sounds costly to me.

yes. but if you're buying the adaptor I'd get a a2z off ebay.
-
you get those in takis as well as spd's. I think they'd be good but i haven't tried them.
-
at a guess because the 0.999 is infinite it'll never quite reach 1 ( although it's as close as it can be.) anyway mathematicians have argued over this for years so we're not going to solve it on here.

song was shit and there was too many sidehops, you were so right about needing a belt. But you're f**king good on your bike
-
I'd have my own custom bikes produced and obviously build somewhere to ride them. Then I'd buy an Ascari a10 and disappear over to that track with it.

Thats a lot of rot, I hope you're handy with a welder. I take it you'll have to fabricate panels or modify non-genuine panels to fit, or is there somewhere you can get them? I might have a project like this lined up soon so i'll be interested to see how this comes along.

I just drink water/concentrated orange usually, if you wanted to go properly into it though you'd have a camelback of water with some sugar, salts and pain killers. Thats what I normally take for long xc rides and what I used to use for kayaking and rowing. It really does the trick, salt to replace the salt you lose through sweat, sugar for energy, pain killers to keep you cool. If you use the painkillers that fizz in the water make sure you vent the bladder properly or you'll get a mouth full of bubbles every time. it's really not worth it for trials though just drink some water and eat some bananas.

have you told him yet that if he doesn't get it back in the next week you'll put him in a wheelchair? give him a certain amount of time make him worry a bit, and f**k him up bad if he doesn't deliver.

I'd be a serial killer who specializes in killing vigilantes.

if you've just got a little bit to lose then that should be fine, if not then just do as much exercise as possible, walk, cycle, run everywhere go swimming and if you've got a rowing machine a few weeks on that and you'll be sorted. If I were you ( depending on how much i had to lose) I'd be rowing for an hour every second night.

In the last couple of pages how many of these 'pics' have been taken by a proper stills camera. It should be post your crappy video camera low quality piece of shit video stills here. and I hate it when people put "It's only 38" like they could go much much bigger, yet on the page before they've posted pics of themselves 'siding' like 12 inches. Another thing, Is 'sidehop' pronounced sidehop like the name, or side? i don't get why the e was dropped either way.

thats the best one of the day, haha nice one.

ahh thanks for that, yeah i knew they were unsealed but it's just for my fun bike as i hardly ride trials any more, freeride for the win. I'll go and try and work out what year it is now and try and get one ordered before the weekend
-
Where can i get one of these, I've not seen them sold on there own. are they just the same as ti's? if you can get them how much do they cost? Cheers, Gav PS - if anyone has one for sale pm me.
-
no, actually it's not an april fools lol. they didn't do it for a laugh they did it by accident the guy is driving along and the apprentice says his driving is bad so to scare the apprentice he takes his hands off the wheel and closes his eyes but runs out of road by accident and ends up driving through a field the chances of them getting hurt were massive but i don't think the guy thought he would end up in the field haha

Transit van with heavy tools in the back going 60 back end would land first so it could carry on through the mud all be it much slower. I should point out the van never really stood up to it and was written off because the whole thing was twisted.
-
Thats what I was thinking, it's the same at my dads work, they write off 2 vans a day but because they're only leased they don't really care. the work guys take the vans anywhere and don't go slow either. one guy last week drove along a road with his eyes closed and no hands on the steering wheel when he came to a bend he just carried on straight through a fence down a 8 ft drop into a ploughed field through the field and out the gate back onto the road just to scare the apprentice big company vans are a no go really unless you find a really mint looking one.

Jelousy, your exactly right that is why they are hated. but it is difficult to work with a bunch of people who just think your a tosser, can you trust them to save your ass if you get in a bad situation? Can you trust them to listen to your every word and obey it, and if they don't what are the consequences, death? The training is some of the best in the world, you have to be beyond tough for it, I watched a group of 10 big guys be reduced to tears in a matter of hours. you have to be prepared for it and even if you are they will still snap you like a twig. If you think you will just 'steam on past' you are very mistaken. I guess what I'm trying to say is it's not about your decision or your qualifications it's about what your made of. it's about weather your the best, or better than the best, and if you have the slightest doubt then chances are you won't make it. best of luck. Gav back on topic

yeah, you don't have to be tough to get in the marines. . you might think they're not hated but actually every marine apart from the odd suck up thinks they're wankers. I would check out their ethos but I think I might have covered that when I stayed with them for 8 weeks while I was a cadet .
-
tunni's actually a porn star!
-
There is a huge difference between officer and marine and if you don't no what the differences are then you shouldn't be trying to get in. you've got to remember if you go in as an officer you aren't just looking after yourself your looking after 20+ men it's your fault if they get killed and your responsibility, it's a lot to carry on your shoulders and if you aren't tough enough for it then you'll be out, no questions asked. If you are then you'll go far as an officer but everyone will hate you.

yeah it's got to be a van of some sorts (transit would be ideal) my dads 7 seater zafira wouldn't even take two pit bikes.
