It depends what size sprocket/freewheel you have,

there'll be people saying stay away from half links though.. theyre snap happy

KMC Z610 HX seems to be a very popular chain in trials, very strong (Y)

EDIT: Damn Ali beat me to it :/

These are a good shout too:

http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/chains/kmc_z510_18_inch/c7p11566.html

I run them as they are £6 cheaper than the Z610 HX, and are nearly as good.

Change them every 3-4 months, and fit them correctly (by either using the split link provided, or taking your time and lining everything up correctly when joining it back together) and you won't have an issue with snapping chains anymore :)

No maybe not a chain. But if you can't decide between some stuff you can order both, have a look then decide which you want then you can return what you don't want totally free and not out of pocket on postage twice.

Was very helpful when I got some gloves but wasn't sure on size. So just send what didn't fit back

Other shops are available

I've never used the free returns thing with Chainreaction anyway, seems like hassle when I could save time and just spend a pound or two instead.

Jesus just give up with the promotion. Free returns- hassle lol it saves time and money

Somehow I doubt that... :P

With regards to the free returns thing though, I've not used the CRC system but assume it's similar to the generic Collect+ type affair? If so, provided there's a collection point nearby it's actually a surprisingly good system from a buyer's perspective. Just be nice if there were a few more collection points (Y)

Chain Reaction Cycles

KMC Z610 HX 3/32" Chain = £9.99

Postage = Free

Total = £9.99

Tarty Bikes

KMC Z610 HX 3/32" Chain = £14.00 (reduced to £9.99 when using price match)

Postage = £3.00 (Royal Mail 1st Class, the cheapest postage option available)

Total = £17.00 (reduced to £12.99 when using price match)

..I fail to see how purchasing that chain from Tarty Bikes is the better option here, especially when the price at Chain Reaction Cycles drops down to £7.99 if you buy three or more of that chain :-
