Tartybikes Project Bike

Hello everyone,

We decided it would be fun to try and build a superlight bike... with the following brief:

- Must be fully 'rideable' (no stupid stuff just for the sake of making it light that would fall apart after 5 mins riding).

- Must have no modifications.

- Must be able to be sold once built.

Here's the outcome... Full spec is here: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?product_id=10759

That thing is trials perfection reality. JEEZ. I'm actually considering it depending on the price - who needs a car anyway? Could do with something new for the ride on Sunday....

EDIT: I see it at around £1700. Whoa.

ill be the dick and point out that you cut the steerer down then? or did you :P

Not sure actually... probably... and ground the rims... should have stipulated 'abnormal modifications' then or something, for the gayboys like you Mr Travis :P

How long you reckon the latex tube will last with a mountain king?:D

Both the tubes on that bike are butyl, Gav's running the a very similar setup (Protec instead of Supersonic rear though) with no problems yet.

Ah fair enough, for some reason I associated the presta valve with latex tubes :$

Ive yet to pinch a normal butyl tube with the rubber queen, dont know how they compare to the larger mountian king though.
