  1. I've always ran 18:16. I really like it, always have. I'm not really a fan of the 18:15. I found that you get a little bit easier kick to rear wheel mainly riding natural. It helps out heaps on the rock. You should try it out, you might like it, if not you can always go the then18:15. As for chains with a half link look at the newer bmx chains, I use the odyssey blue bird. It comes with a single half link riveted onto the chain. The chain is the 510hx with a half link. These are the only chains that I use
  2. I highly rate my complete arcade wheels set. Normally complete wheels loosen up quickly and need a few rides for the spokes to settle in a d need a few adjustment. I must say Ali build these right, mine haven even started to come loose, or even look like needing a little nip up.
  3. With the rotor thickness I'd use a decent set of Verniers. I can't see them being super accurate. So them might seem to be the same, however not the same.

    The Arcade

It's sick that you had the place to yourself
  5. As Adam said I'm a tall dude and have long arms. Not 2m tall, 188-190cm(from memory) The longer stem doesn't really make it dangerous. It's just what I need. Have a look at the stem comparison chart http://yojimg.net/bike/web_tools/stem.php When using the 90x35 vs the 110x35 I gain 13mm reach and 16mm height. Because of my build I find I need a bit more reach then most.
  6. I'm using a110x35 stem I found the standard 90x35 to low. Because the complete bike steer tube it's cut down I couldn't get the height I wanted. I really like how the 110mm stem feels on it, I don't think I'd want to go any shorter.
  7. 16:13 18:15 22:18 These gearings are all similar to each other. Just be aware, going the smaller sprockets puts a lot more load on your chain. Make sure your chain line is perfect when going this ratio.
  8. No problems with mine. Mine pulls up straight every time. Have you got the block that goes against the drop out the wrong way round? There is a little recess so you can pull the wheel back a little further. If this was around the wrong way on one side it could give you the problem your discribing. For what it's worth, it pays to nip these up after you have tightened the wheel. Tighten chain to where you want, tighten hub bolts then tighten up the chain tugs. Back when I ride BMx they always came loose unless you tighten them up again. Another thing to look at, did you change the bolt that's used to do up at the back, In the picture looks black, not silver like original.( could be lighting) However if you did change that and it's to long you might be hitting against the hub bolt. Not tightening properly.
  9. Do yourself a huge favor. Get some bar end before you cut yourself up or take a core sample.
  10. I always use a split link. Never had any issues. I have more issues with chains breaking after joining them 'correctly' On my mtb they hold up fine, just not for trials use. I would be checking your chain line/chain tension. What size sprockets? The smaller sprockets the more load the chain takes.
  11. Is there any reason you want a flat top stem?
  12. Have you had much time to ride this? I've had my arcade for a week or so now. It feels so good. I think they got it right with this bike.
  13. I would be more inclined to use a grinder and a thin cutting wheel over a hacksaw. Even taped up I think it would still splinter. It's just the way hacksaws cut.
  14. Mine came with the factory clips in a bag, they don't fit with the hope hoses. Not sure why they don't fit I'd say the grove isn't quite deep enough. As said above, it doesn't really matter. Just use cable ties.
  15. I've found the shimano have more pad knock. The pad knock feels shity when gaping to rear. I've never had any issues with the hopes either
  16. 25:1 for mowers and other yard equipment 50:1 for old motorbikes 60's-80's 100:1 for and bike from about 2005 With fuel just make sure you use a good one, I use our premium which is 98 octane Use a good oil, make sure it's mixed up before use( if the drum sits to long the oil and fuel start to separate, so a good shake of the drum ) After a tank of fuel pull the spark plug out and see what the end looks like. If it's black and carbon coated you might need to look at the tuning of the carbie. If it comes out slightly brown carbon residue it's basically running perfect.
  17. Adm's are what you want. They continue to work amazing on a very dull grind. Lg ms work amazing, however you need to keep grinding to keep there tip top performance.since I've been running my blacks I've ground the rim twice in a year. They just keep working
  18. Using a 160 on the rear would be to bad, you said about adaptors. It would depend on what brake your running. Post mount your run an adaptor you change the size. To suit, if your running like a hope It would depend on what caliper your using to what rotor you can use.
  19. We can buy big bulk packs of sparkles in Australia. I brought about 10 of the double packs, they looked at me sus but let me go
  20. You forgot the magnesium to set it off
  21. If your having troubles with hangers you need to look at how your riding. I've had a hex since the forts came out, and now have my second hex. In the 3ish years I've use the hex I've only broken 2 hangers. The hangers that are made are much Better then any other on the market. Standard hangers are shit. Inspireds quality control and finish is like no other. There a reason they have such a good reputation. At the end of the day you get what you pay for.
  22. This stuff is great. I would imagine that the chemicals would break down the epoxy in the CF and probly wreck them. If there's cracks forming anywhere I'd say there going to break soon, best replace them before you smash your face.
  23. At the end of the day it's your call mate, I'm just making the point that if you can't 180 the 4play you probly won't be a ole to 180 either bikes above straight away. I just want you to know it's not just the bike, yes some bike are easier to 180/360 etc on. You might be disappointed spending big and not getting results. I for one don't really care if you get any of the bikes above. I'm just trying to give you some advice, I am waiting for the arcade to come out aswell, they are the perfect bike to suit what I want I a street bike. Your asking about geo, as said short stem, tall bars is what you want. Can you post a video of your 180attempts, some of us might be able to point you in the right direction. As I said learn them now while your waiting for these bikes. That way when you step onto these bikes you will be confidence and when you land them it'll be a bit of an ego boost, this can help you justify getting the bikes.
