  1. Can you Manuel, 180 and 360 your 4play? Any bike can be ridden like this. The bikes not really going to be the thing holding you back, you just need to put the time in and learn what you want to learn. Put in the hard years on the bike you have now, when you step onto one of these bikes it will help you and you will progress faster.
  2. I would also be looking at this. If the rear sproket is to big, it hits and sounds really bad
  3. I've been smashing the overtime lately. Easy money aswell. I'm really keen.
  4. Rear disk ***! Just need the hex to get them. Does anyone know an approx eta on these bikes? I'm super keen to get one.
  5. At least this looks like a real bike.
  6. With the carbie taking alot to prime. You have to press the little tickler. Push in and out until the fuel squirts out the little hole. Google mk1 Amal concentric carbie and you should find alot of information. As for starting, does it have spark? Have you cleaned the carbie? If it hasn't been run for ages the needle that's connects to the float could be stuck. Good news with the carbies is that you can get all parts for really cheap. Check the points and condenser, make sure that its timed correctly, that will help. Look into the wiring and make sure the coils is correctly installed. There is so many variable to find why it's not starting that its really hard to explain over the Internet. You will be able to find alot of information online. I can tell you that tank isn't original either. You have started polishing, if you want it to be alot shinier you will also need to use wet and dry to remove all the pitting and ensure all the scratches are going in one direction. You can restore them cases and mudguards to look like a mirror This is how they looked https://www.google.com.au/search?q=montesa+cota+247&safe=off&client=safari&hl=en&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=NsglUu2BMI2ciQf2rYHYDg&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAA&biw=1024&bih=672

    How much?

It's only worth what someone will pay. Hard to say without pictures, full specs, age of components etc etc. There's lots of factors that contribute to the price of a used bike.
  8. Mark- Can you tell me are the cranks 48spline or Isis style? Is the pivotal post welded in the frame? So the seat tube is one piece with the pivotal bit welded on? I was thinking about the new Skye, I think I can wait for this though.
  9. Mine was the white one. It was a great frame, while it lasted.
  10. I loved the geo on my Limey 3. Didn't like the durability of the frame though.
  11. Exactly. There's no good low bb frames out there these days. Lucky for me I found a brand new 09 echo pure frame that will become my comp bike. Can't wait for the +20bb
  12. Tnn make a inspired specific one. http://www.expressivebikes.com/braking/brake-clamps-and-boosters/tnn-integrated-booster-with-clamps-to-suit-inspired- I use this model on my hex and have no issues. Has great fitment and does what a booster does.
  13. Some what. He has more hair on his head, I have more on my body, my beard is also more developed then his. I'm a similar size to big man. Just an inch shorter and 4kg lighter.
  14. All the parts to make a strong bike are readily available. I think it's not parts we need, I think it's stronger frames. I've only had 2 frame ever that have lasted any length of time. That being my inspired hex and my BT7.0. Both frames lasted 2 years. I've tried a bunch of newer frames and they just don't last the time. You shouldn't have to change your frames every 4month or so just because you ride them.
  15. I'd like to know the weights and riding abilities of the test riders. You need some one who rides big, is big and not smooth. Then you will know if the frame is strong enough.
  16. 6 foot something. My lower back isn't 100% so I need higher bars so I can keep riding
  17. Look at getting a slightly lower bb frame. I'm fairly big riding a mod. I have a 95mm bb,180x35stem,30mm spacers and the trialtech high rise bars. I would like a little more height. Best bet would be meet up with a tall guy that rides and willing to let you ride there bike so you know what it feels like

    Brakeless edit!

Good riding man. Do your self a favour. Either cut your bars down or move your grips out. Get some bar ends. Just mentioning so you don't get a core sample taken in a crash.
  19. If all your worried about warranty then your thinking along the wrong lines. With the spec of what are you worried about? Brakes- paint wouldn't effect the warranty Hubs- again paint wouldn't do anything. About the only issue you would have after painting is frame and fork warranty. Inspireds shave amazing quality so I doubt you would have to worry about the warranty.

    eno skipping

I found my enos skipped a litte at the start, then it went away. I found the tips of the pawls snapped off, after this it stopped skipping. I stopped running enos after continually destroying the bearing.
  21. Thanks guys. The bike does looks good, rides better then it looks. Sorry guys no idea on pricing. Nothing has been discussed, that will come in time. It will most likely be a while away. I know TNN like to test there products for a while before they are released.
  22. There is a 26" frame as well, it's been in testing for a while now
  23. Le at TNN was nice enough to offer me to test out his new proto mod frame. Thank you so much Le for letting me test it out for you. Big thanks to Tim@ expressive bike for helping me collect the parts for the build and assembling the bike for me Because of my stature, and the fact I break alot of parts, I was picked as a durability tester for the proto frame. Im only aloud to run rear disc aswell. part of the deal of me testing the frame. Its been a good 9years or so since I spent any time on a mod, its a welcomed change, something im looking forward to. Firstly the quality of this frame is fantastic, the welds look amazing, the rear disc mount is beef, i like the lack of bash plate(removes the weak hole in down tube alot of mods break), the dropouts are simple(like the echo ones). Everything went together smooth. The rear disc mount was slightly crooked,a quick file and it was good to go. Considering its the first of the frames its not a bad thing. I know that Le will sort it out for the production edition. The geo comes in at 1005, +95,350. I cannot say if this will be final geo, Thats TNN decision. specs TNN mod frame trialtech forks trialtech high rise bar tryall stem 180x30(monster) trialtech cranks echo SL freewheel echo bashie echo pedal hope brakes( proto rear pads) wheels trialtech rims, double wall on the rear new onza hubs front and rear maxxis tires complete bike weighs in around the 9.5kg mark. Im not sure what the frame weighs, however I weigh 112kg and like to run reliable parts heres the pictures, let us know what you think.the last picture shows the finer detail that Le likes to show
  24. 1set were disc, the others were the 4 bolt. The disc ones broke at the disc mount, and the 4 bolt one broke around the mounts, I had a set of each, the welded ones and the smooth welded ones. All sets lasted the same time, I kept using the trial tech because I've had issues with bonded steer tubes in the past. I didn't change anything when I went to the tnn forks, kept riding the same, started doing some stupid stuff to try break them and had no luck )
  25. I was lucky enough to be a tester for these forks. I'm still rocking the set of protos, well over a year of testing from me, they are deffently a good thing. I broke the trial tech forks after a short time, I went through 3 sets in 6months, then I got these and haven't looked back
