1 finger on both, ive seen people break magura's by using 2 fingers

im left foot forward and used to sidehop the wrong way, but recently i made an effort to hop to the right and it does help. Depends how happy you are hopping the wrong way as i couldnt hop very high anyway when i changed but if your good at going the wrong way aint to much point changing, then again being able to hop both ways would be perfect

lotek shoes are real good for riding in, as are Nike SB's or 6.0's. Some of the bigger skate companies make good riding shoes too, DC and etnies are worth a look.

Id just try some streety stuff, either try some real technical stuff like linking spins nd hops etc or my personnal favorite is to try and use your brakes as little as possible so you flow better you end up riding loads smoother and its real fun as you have to approach easy lines in a completly different way.

Monty are really bad for over pricing, ie they sell the vp caged pedals that onza and everyone else sell for about £12, but with the monty name on the end they were selling for about £40 on somewhere like cleanbikes

Looks like only the lever is cnc'd which is odd for deng but i suppose its cheaper to cast a cyclinder, hopefully all the bits will be interchangable with magura, it certianly looks like the clamps will be the same. Personnaly i reckon this is a really good thing that some one is looking as maguras nd trying to improve them, the lever certainly looks like it will be stronger and the lack of tpa is nice.

If those are small allen bolts on each cyclinder that let you adjust each pad seperatly they'd be rad, a magura thats easy to set up. Also it looks like there is a longer clamping area on each piston so you could run narrow rims in wide frames. Gettin spares might be interesting though and lack of olives on the hoses looks abit leaky.

But double caged pedals last ages, ive had a set last a year nd a half and have only just rplaced mine, the cages bend quick but never break. If your riding natural platform pedals are fine, but as soon as they go near street the pins fall out unless you never use your pedals for getting up stuff etc

Xt calipers and levers are both pretty good, if you cant afford an ultimate a shimano with parallel linkages is the way to go, also as the pads are always flat against the rim vibration is reduced thus the brake is quieter. With tha cable unless your planning to do barspins/ whips i wouldnt get a linear cable as they are more likely to break than a normal cable, id go for a good normal cable

Tioga ones have a white stripe, halo ones are gay because theyre made by halo, get get the best rim nd spray it white.

Not too sure about the tensioner. Why dont you use a fixed tensioner attached to the fun bolt, thats what i run and it never comes loose and doesnt rely on mech hangers

Your best bet would be to copy you axle on a lathe but make the axel longer and put nuts on the end like a bmx. From what i can tell the deng hub uses M5 bolts which are never going to be that strong and putting larger bolts in will weaken the axle. Or for the same price should have got a pro2

If you run a pro2 do this, its th ebest tensioner ever, it never moves unlike my dmr and gusset ones did.

put the tyre in a bucket of boilin water, it works apparently. Otherwise soem proper tire levers nd some muscle

Be careful with the bolts on your viz hubs, my mate had the bolt head sheer off his which led to alot of drilling so id get some quality bolts
