    Decisions

Ive been riding fixed for just over 2 years now and love it! During the summer there I put in about 100 miles a week riding everyday and possibly a slight longer ride on my day off or after work at night. I dont beleive there is a simple soloution to run gears without having a pain in the arse setup just choose your one gear wisely, spin for the win i ride with a 46:16 ratio which is a good all round gear for me.
  5. One of my favourite riders in boring as hell video shocker! plus were a lot of the clips not re used ones from his Autum edit video?
  6. What's going on with that dropout looks a bit weird?! What's the tensioner made of?!
  7. Lol last time I was on pink bike it was sega mega drives for swaps!
  8. Love it!! Look up the éclat unity seat on eBay, would probably need a shim but would look sweet on that!
  9. Did you do the headtube yourself?! I love it! I love the whole bike, looks rad!
  10. That is the only Ashton I have seen without a seat that I like, possibly because the colour is so bold! I love it! Bars are not to my taste but that's a very personal thing however the cranks need chucked!
  11. Just stick to the bolt it on and ride philosophy! I am A self confessed weight wennie but I'm loving running a heavier tyre as it gives me more confidence I'm not going to pinch and it's grippy as hell (der kaiser btw)
  12. I would certainly like to know Ive seen a few tempting deals on new echo stuff recently.
  13. Always been a fan of heatsink yellows on smooth rims! I heard death grip is where it's at for manuals these days anyway.
  14. There is many many folk who will swear by v brakes ( enter Ali c) I run one on the front of my comp bike and wouldn't change it for the world. I ran one on my Curtis with an xtr booster on the rear and it was nothing short of amazing. I would imagine you will get more power out of a v than you would ever get from a standard hope mono. But depends what sort of riding you like if you want to do lots of rolling moves a disc up front will be mega! V on the rear disc on the front?
  15. I'm the same height as you dude I ride a 54 genesis flyer. I find this to be fine on my inside legs but it's more the top tube length that is to long I'd rather have a slightly smaller frame where if I wanted I could run a longer stem to compensate I'm currently running a 50mm bmx stem to make it fit! 52 would be my preferred size as I have shortish arms
  16. Both of those videos turned out amazing! Can't wait to go back to Barca. I have to admit Ross and Ben have to be in my top 10 list of riders to watch, total masterclass of having good smooth fun on a bike!
  17. If you are serious about it you could look up a few local metal polishers and get some prices?
  18. I am currently running a 2011 echo pure with a pro 2 with 175mm trialtech cranks trialtech alloy bash and trialtech screw on sprocket 18:15 and all the spacing seem to be perfect. The only issue I had was with brand new heatsink pads the crank arms clipped the slave when it was weighted, after one ride the pads had bedded in enough to alow me to move them in a touch and problem solved! Nice solid reliable setup i might add to.

    24" Echo

Best person i can think of to tell you about this subject would be Duncshaw he moved from an onza mod to the echo trial and is loving it! his bike thread
  21. Ill keep the £64 quid or whatever it is and have the lighter echos ta much!
  22. holy molly!!! That is mad, I love it! Ditch the end caps on the pedals if you wanna be really anal. I also finally got rid of my hose guides on my frame and routed it through my top tube.
  23. haha you have got 60 grams on me but I was thinking the same about my pure.
