Yeh, been thinking about that for a while but seems like alot of hassle. Phil Can't argue with that. Got any ideas on what to get? (preferable cheap!) Phil

Haha! is high but rides nicely Its an XC, need a matching xc for the front soonish. Pgil

Am preety happy with the way my T-Rex has turned out. Feels nice to ride. Thinking about some new handlebars, new stem and new front hub when I got the money together. What you guys think? Cheers, Phil
-
My pimped out T-Rex I'd pick it over the echo control or Toxin I've ridden. Just love the feel. Phil

Maggie on back and Today I changed to xtr vee up front. Oh dear god! Its awesome! Gapping to front felt so good. Maggie + vee new combo Phil

Haha mate im in the same boat as you. GCSE's looming! BUT NO! be strong. Ride when you get back at 3 until like 5 or 6 have some tea and get going on revision after. As soon as you hit a routine you'll get used to it. Ive already had to give up going to the gym before school to do I.T coursework - now that is sh!t. And yes whatever people say revising has a point and is worthwhile. Phil

Same things been happening with my mate for a long time. Started with a magura marta of his T-Rex, had absolute hell with it, never worked well atall! Then got a hope mono mini with his echo control which didnt work well atall! Then got another magura marta which didn't work when he go it however he changed the disk experimented and now works. In the end decided to stick with vee for the front, disks seems alot of hassle. Cheers, Phil

Haha pure comedy. Either a stealing pikey (most likely) or an absolute dumb ass. 'Gender/ Age: Boys'' - Not really, they just think its a boys because its small! 'mattering on the distance' or its a dyslexic! (no offence) Phil

I really dont think there is anyway you could make that look good to be honest. I was thinking about doing something similar last week when I did some stupid nose dive mid air and landed knee on stem. If you are really destroyed at the moment and jsut need something temporary go for some knee/ shin combo gaurds I'd say. Phil

haha Looking at the claud butler I really dont think your joking! Anyway I think its a fair idea Nick, Hold a ride down here like Reading or something. Me, Dave, Seb and Chris would probably be up for that. Phil

Ha where are the joypads from Ali C yeh? Abit confused. ah 2 - 21/2 months is abit cack. Reason I liked the look of the Koxx Browns was because of the life span. Phil

Risky stuff! I say get her riding your 26 in the garden and over pallets etc. See how she finds it. Would be a kick in the teeth if she gave it up after 2 months. Loose atleast £60 on a £200 bike. Just a thought Phil

Cheers man. Just looking on Tarty. Ideally I would go for the riser but they are £55 which is suicide. Chers for the advice but reacon £35 is my limit. Phil
-
Think the Heatsink Snowy pads would be ok? I think I remember hearing they have a soft as compound I think, maybe? Don't wanna be gyped out of £25 for a pair of heatsink pads. Was also thinking about Ali C's joy Pads as you can't really go wrong for £10. (if thats how much they still are) Phil

Feel the need for some new bars as I don't trust my current ones atall. (onza ones as standard on T-Rex) Looking at the Echo Echo Tough Bars or the Zoo! Riser Bars The Echo bars look a very similar shape and rise to my current bars and look like they have slighlty more rise than the Zoo! ones. Allthough the Zoo! bars are not exactly the same as my current ones im sure i'd adjust to them. Also I have been told that the Zoo! bars are a nicer shape and are more natural for the hand/wrist angle. At preety much the same price its just a case of choosing which ones. Any advice or thoughts? Secondly looking at new pads for rear. Currently have a medium to light grind, was looking at Koxx Browns due to the life span. Also the fact they work well in dry and wet on a medium grind. Any thoughts on this as I don't want to end up wasting £18. Cheers guys, any advice appreciated. Phil

Im presuming you got maggy by the TPA. Basically could be a number of problems. I dont see how they can be rubbing if you just set them up straight, do them up tight and put TPA on full. Should give you a nice feel. If the problem is that one piston isnt moving back and so rubs, this is abit of an annoying one. What is the precise problem? Consider getting a re bleed? Phil

That is the deal with the T-REX and its a preety good one getting half price stuff. But if its anything vital like cranks would be an absolute joke to get them again. shoooooooooooooooooooooocking as. For stuff like mechs should be cool and useful. But deifnetly is the deal even if you break it from riding, eg: Did a drop and BB snapped - give me a new one half price Phil

haha Nice title. 'today' is one word seb! Some preety cool pics some absolute shockers! 8 down is good but Dave looks dead. So gay I couldn't make it Phil

Use the search mate must be abot 1000 of these threads. IMO probably just a strained muscle (not as bad as pulling it) and it will heal up in a few days. In my experience it needs some time and after a day when ive had a strained back it does go back to normal but is alot easier to strain again. So I'd recommend a few days out if you can take the pain of not riding. Clearly must have occured as you haven't been using the 'trials' muscles for a while if you've been out of riding. Rest them, build them, be back on top. After you've rested it if its still bad maybe see a professional? I have strained a few muscles in my back riding so at the gym I've put a few lower back workout techniques in. Phil

My girl comes first every time. Way its gotta be! Personal preference. Phil

Been reading this thread for a number of days. Become clear to me whatever hub you buy out of the two there is always going to be people who have suffered at the hands of the hub. No product is perfect. I'm not a good person to comment on this as I run a hope xc (which is trustworthy). However if you've got the money King definetly has respect in the trials community which says something about its quality. (like middleburns for example) The above would push me in the direction of King but my mate ran pro 2's succesfully on his downhill bike which might say something. Personally I wouldn't get a king as I couldn't really justify the money with myself. Just a couple of my thoughts. Phil

I dont really see what you getting at mate. What you just said is exactly the point of the whole thread. That beginners need good brakes too and won't know much about grinds etc Anyway it all sorted as Tarty Bikes have explained that they do smooth rim pads with new bikes for beginners and that a grind is a cheap option when buying a new bike from them. Not sure how everyone got into a huge discussion about getting disease from grinding. I'm preety sure this thread is over. Phil
-
Awesome! I didn't know they did that! Yeh fully agreed. I think that would be the best way by far as long as there was a section to explain what a grind is to beginners an an option. The Answer^^^^^ Cheers for everyone's input. Phil

Allready adressed that point in crticisms on the first post Anyway don't think we are getting anywhere here. So in conclusion personally I think it is a good idea and isn't necersarrily unefficient if done in a factory as part of the manufacturing process although many people disagree and think that kids dont need the braking power and don't really see any other points against it except that its unnecersarry. Phil

I'm actually looking more around the market of younger children buying a trials bike and not knowing all the specifics about grinds. If I asked my dad if I could buy a grinder and have a go on my rim if I was 13 he'd probably have none of it. I t was just a thought. Phil
