  1. Geometry wise, it doesnt look much different to the 06 justice. dont agree with the slacker head-angle, considering its only 1080 wheelbase. Martyn should have kept the head angle at 73 degrees. the white paint job does look a beauty because it makes the geometry and angles more revealling, unlike the black 06. i wonder what the second colour is going to be? Whatever martyn does with the graphics, its gonna look slick anyway. i guess its still made from 7075 alu, instead the newer Full Ultra6 alloy.
  2. Ahh thats a shame. i was hoping it would have been a Hoffmann 20in mod, though im sure they must have one.

    Oh No!

Well you certainly seem to have captured this pic in good lighting conditions, but why is this picture so pixcellated? this pic doesnt do your rig any justice at all. Sort this out.
  4. Interesting looking rig. not much styling going on but very functional. im equally interested in a close up view of that 20in mod in the background. So jake, if you can possibly find that rig and post it up, we would be very grateful.
  5. This is how trials should be photographed with plenty of action pics (where the viewer can see and appreciate the skill of the move from start-to-finish). has your friend ever considered doing some freelance action photography, because he certainly knows how to capture dynamic action shots. Ps, nice riding by the way
  6. Hmm whatever! at least we all agree that the bike is a beauty, regardless of what it is made of.
  7. Er excuse me, but titanium IS a type of steel, just like T45, Reynolds, & 4130 cromoly.
  8. Needs a re-spray. but apart from that, its a good setup.
  9. Its a 1.5in headtube. only FSA, & Creek make 1.5 headsets, though your Fsa PIG pro is bombproof enough. Mission Cycles at the moment, are not committing to the trials industry because of poor unit sales of their trials bikes(specifically their bikes using the 1.5in headtube). So unless you got a ridiculously cheap deal on your 20in rig, your better off getting an Onza(if on a budget) as it will have a better sale value when you progress your skills and move up to getting a better trials rig...unless of course you decide to give up riding after 6-8months and just want to be able to sell it. depends on what area you live and what the riding scene is like there for trials. that 20in Mission will do the job, but its basically Old Skool geometry/weight/style.
  10. The pics dont do much justice, which is a shame really. both steeds look good.
  11. Ha Ha! I love the improvised saddle. thats just so neat.
  12. Hugh what are you doing! you spend all that time and effort building up a beauty of a machine, and then you take a tacky picture of it in the dark. Get a decent pic of it in good daylight...thats an order!
  13. i like the hydro formed tubes. makes a change from standard straight gauge tubing. to those of you whom think this frame is weird looking, remember that prototype Giant trials bike that appeared in BikeTrials magazine years ago. where they used one piece of tubing as a mainframe. that was real weird

    Oh No!

Make damn sure that when you photograph this rig complete, you photograph it in white daylight (NOT SUNLIGHT). white daylight will enhance the quality of the finish better than sunlight (if your using a 3megapixel plus digi camera). oh and post a pic of both rigs in the same shot. white daylight is when the sky is kinda white coloured and not blue.
  15. Wow! that frame must weigh a shy less than 3lbs. try and get some pics this dude riding this steel beauty.
  16. Awesome action pics. your girlfriend had capture the lighting, movement, and angles just right. full credit to her.
  17. I think high rise stems look weird on 26in bikes, though i can forgive you for being a tall rider. cant wait to see you post future riding vids. you have a steady posture on your rig which makes you look smooth.

    Rant

Youve just gotta go with the annoying kids flow. im sure everyone on registered on this forum was no angel during his/her younger years. i get kids that come up to me and say "do a bunnyhop". so ill do one and then they will say "No! thats an american bunnphop, do an english one". or if they ask about why my seat/saddle is low and i give a simple constructive answer, its like the information doesnt ring true to their brains. i remember a few years ago when i saw some black rappers sporting bmxs in their rap videos. soon enough, i would see black youths investing in bmxs just to represent that image of their rap idols. none of them could be bother to do bmx tricks, they are just following a trend with no purpose. there will always be good and bad followers of any sport. Human ignorance is everywhere, so just go with the flow.
  19. What forks is Matt Staples running on his pitbull? ive only seen the old Pace trials forks that do the reversed magura brake mount. Ps, i take it matt didnt dismount from that very high slopped wall with a drop. it looks like a good 13-15ft.
  20. Apparently they are produce by the same company that made the awesome ASSAULT pedals. replaced by the Moto-x, the assault pedals were the grippiest cage pedals on the market period, and ridiculously expensive (£120 plus). Danny Holroyd used they during his Planet-x days.
  21. its no more difficult than doing it on a bmx. the trick really comes alive when doing a bunnyhop-tailwhip (which apparently has been done by M.Ashton and a few other trialsters), doing a tailwhip-drop (which ive not see done by anyone even though its possible), a tailwhip-gapjump (which apparently has been by a canadian trialster on a mod doing the move backwards), a rolling drop into a midair tailwhip (ive only seen on a bmx), a pedal up to frontwheel to tailwhip to backwheel (that would be pretty unique to trials though probably not possible in the same way as doing a regular pedal up to frontwheel to backwheel).
  22. id cancel any london riding plans this weekend. rain is expected saturday afternoon onwards , with rain all over the uk throughout sunday . So make the best of this afternoon/evening and saturday morning to ride because the rest of the weekend is gonna be shite everywhere! unless the weathermen get it very wrong.
  23. If anyone does get the Pro2, then get the 2nd generation models as they are claimed to be stronger build. number of riders have snapped the 1st generation hub shell. one rider snapped his 2nd Pro2 hub clean after pedalling away from a trackstand (at london ride). Very weird to see a snapped hub shell that is machined from a solid billet of alu.
  24. Fiveten impact shoes dont need to labelled a trials shoe. they are mountain bike shoes for flat pedals that offer vice-like grip and are super comfy . Once your in the trackstand position, you cannot physically twist the shoes period without snapping your ankles clean. you have to physically lift your foot off the pedal to change foot/position. you can walk in grass/mud, and still get supergrip when stepping back onto your pedals. i had to remove all the pins on my shite Gusset pedals because my 2yr old Fiveten shoes proved to grippy (esspecially during the summer) that i had a few accidents when trying to casually step off, or bale off my bike. they are that ridiculously grippy!
