No. Avoid them at all cost. Look at the LFGSS topic on unipack/create bikes.

  3. That is unhelpful, and you can't tell how 'f**ked' it is from the photo. People on the internet are idiots. I'd suggest going to have a look at the bike in person, and make sure you check the general cosmetic condition, have a look at all the bearings, and make sure there isn't any play in the suspension or bushings. If everything is pretty sound, you can look on eBay or Southern Downhill to see what equivalent bikes are going for at the moment. It is worth keeping in mind that this is as basic as bikes like this get, and in the long run you'll probably end up spending a fair bit on replacing and upgrading parts, so it might be worth just hanging on for a higher spec bike to come up and spending a bit more initially.
  4. I drew a picture. The first one shows how shift warps perspective, and the second one shows how tilt alters the plane of focus.
  5. Apparently you aren't the only ignorant one in this thread. The Create frames are made of cheese, and welded terribly. They will bend/snap with any amount of use. The drivetrain is terrible, and wears at an incredible speed. The chains they supply snap unbelievably easily, bearings are all shit. Everything about them is shit. LFGSS is very useful. Some real bargains on there, but if you act like an idiot on there, they will destroy you. You could never in a million years build a 'beaut' for £300 (you could easily spend that on a frame), but you could definitely scrape something acceptable together. Your best bet would be to buy a second hand complete bike from LFGSS, but be very specific about what you want, and know what size etc you need. However, if you ride brakeless on a freewheeling road bike; you're a fucking idiot and deserve to go under a truck.
  6. If you're putting the burning fuel on top of the wood you want to ignite, you're going to need a lot of it to be burning for a hell of a long time before it actually catches, unless you thouroughly soak the wood in something like parafin or diesel first. Fire lighters make sense, but they aren't that hot, and they tend to produce a fair bit of black smoke if they are left to burn on their own. I guess these factors vary depending on the specific brand of firelighter you are using, but in my experience, this tends to be true. If you want the type of pyrotechnics in the new(ish) lakai video (see below), I'd recomend fast-burning liquid fuels, such as petrol for the big flame,slower-burning solid fuels, such as parafin wax to igite the wood, and keep the pace of the fire more consistent.
  7. If it's a steel steerer into a steel crown, argos (the frame builder, not the high-class jewellers) Charge £40 to replace a steerer.
  8. Yes. I'm runing a pair on my new build, and I had a pair on my last bike (paid full price for them, and they were still brilliant value for money!)
  9. Polyester resin. Or methylated spirits if you want somehting more viscous.

  11. I accidentally a whole track Lo Pro frame+forks.
  12. I'm selling this: Zorlac deck made in 1982. I bought it as a NOS blank, epoxy coated it to increase the longevity of it, and painted it white. It's been used since this photo was taken, has a vew more stickers on it and some scuffs on the tail (as you'd expect). It's running on Lush 6" trucks (same geo as indie 155s), abec 7 bearings and NOS powell prealta street bones (90A). They're super smooth, really fast and extremely grippy. I'd like £70 inc p+p for the set up. More recent photos upon request.
  13. Have you tried turning it off, then on again?
  14. if you can see where the cables route, it's just a case of getting everythimg in position, and taking all the slack out of the cable, as they're not index shifters.
  15. Pants in not-talking-shite shocker.
  16. If you're impressed by the moths, you might like foiling offshore trimarans. up to 100ft long, and fly above the water: This is what it looks like underneath:
  17. I think that frame is way too big for you.
  18. get in touch with edd potts (dave85 or something on here). he might be able to knock something up for you.
  19. Brasso might be a good idea, but you need to be really careful around the seals. What's the extent of the rust? I think DJ3s are chromed on the stanchions(?), so if it's starting to rust now, it's going to rust more and more in the future, unless you coat it with an oily lube, or someting else to protect it. You don't want too much on though, as dirt and grit will get stuck to the oil, and potentially damage the selas/stanchions.
  20. I wish I was your derivative so I could lie tangent to your curves. Later that night: You know; it’s not the length of the vector that counts, it’s how you apply the force
